Dude...You have anger issues.

Does anyone else feel as frusterated as I do? Do you ever just want to put your fist through the monitor as I did?

This is not the kind of person that is even deserving of a relationship. Good luck with that.

So I ask her if I can get the abridged version! Good Ideah right? She tells me "if you already have compaints why did you even bother? No" Not "Sure! I guess I get carried away!" I'm not asking for marrige lady I just don't want to spend the rest of my life reading a profile.

Nobody asked you to read her long profile. So did you decide to read it anyway and send her a arrogant email. You came off sounding like a jerk and I am surprised she even replied.

Sadly if a nice guy like myself needs to find a woman or even friends (Yes I looked for friends once) What do they get? Not a whole lot.

You do not come off as being a nice guy IMO

I see the guys failing and the ladies getting engaged. My thought is this is a womens game.

Then just who are these ladies getting engaged to?.. to other men moron. Do you ever look at what you type before posting?

Now I know I'm gonna get someone who tells me to suck it up and deal. To just shut up. To go suck a****

I agree. And while your doing those things, you might also want to look into a little thing called SPELL CHECK

Does head over heels in love still happen after 45?
Posted: 5/26/2009 9:11:36 AM
I remember that feeling. It has happened once in my lifetime many years ago and lasted thirty years. I want that feeling again. I believe it can happen. If and when it does happen, it will be extra special if she feels the same way. Anything else is simply one way infatuation.

Is my profile being too honest?

Well there Komrade....lucky for me, I don't conform to that florida statute. but thanks for your insight. The fact that THEY say it's a "hallucinogenic substance shows me that they are in fact FOS. and it's thinking like that which will always keep them in the stone age. And I my friend will be in the stoned age.

Is my profile being too honest?
Posted: 5/24/2009 11:02:46 AM
I have always thought it is best to portray me as being me. I think that anything less than honesty would waste a woman’s time with emails and chatting here if I were not the person I made myself up to be on a profile. I strongly think that my profile will attract someone like me if I am the real me and not someone I made myself out to be online. Am I being too real? I'm just asking your opinion. Don't be shy..you cannot hurt my feelings..besides, DILLIGAFA means Do I Look Like I Give A Fcuk Anymore. Thanks for your help and input.

Should you be required to save someone?
Posted: 5/18/2009 11:01:25 AM
The law may not require you save the person and you should not be charged with a crime for not helping. However, what SHOULD require you to try to save that person if you CAN SAVE THEM is your own conscience, and if you just turn your back and walk away, that's a jail term that only YOU will have to live with for the rest of your life.

Why do so many men post pictures of big fish that they've caught ?

They look better than the pictures of the one that got away.

I am uploading a picture of me eating a fish sandwich. I shall title it..Man Eating Fish.

How do you define status and do you seek it?

Thank you BodyPro8, your posts help prove my point which was:

It makes me laugh when I meet or observe a person that is wallowing in their own self importance and think they are better than the next person.

How do you define status and do you seek it?
Posted: 5/15/2009 10:44:31 AM
I personally never put too much into the word itself. I think for most people, they associate the word with terms such as Social Status or Status symbol. It makes me laugh when I meet or observe a person that is wallowing in their own self importance and think they are better than the next person and treat people accordingly. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

My Status as of right now : ....but that’s not the status quo.

Being present at the scholarships awards and watching my youngest son accept a full 4 year college scholarship to University of South Florida. In and of itself, It was probably one of the most proudest moments of my life. I wept openly.

rude emails that spoil your POF experience
Posted: 5/14/2009 11:00:04 AM
Although my e-mails have been positive, I did get an e-mail from a faceless woman who informed me that if I listed more of what I have to offer on my profile, I might be able to find someone suitable for me. Making reference to the fact that I listed retired on disability, her advice to me was to also change long term to read other relationship.

I was put aside by what I considered to be a very rude e-mail and must admit that it did give me second thoughts about the online approach to finding love. As a side note, I did reply to her e-mail and took the high road, I simply thanked her for her advice and wished her luck.

Foul language in profiles
Posted: 5/13/2009 6:10:36 AM
Below is an actual sentence from my profile.

Although I have never had an STD, I must be up front and tell you that I do have Ed Zackery Syndrome but do not be alarmed, from what I understand from my doctor, he just meant my face looks Ed Zackery like my ass.

Now, should I worry about turning off women with my Homer Simpson like demeanor by using the word ass, or should I just be worried about my Fukcing looks. Either way, I showed in my profile who I am and how I am. If someone was to look at my profile and not like what they see or read, I would expect them to go to the next profile. I Think that if someone peppered their profile with F-bombs and the like will only attract the same individuals that use that sort of language. That's what it's all about right....finding your match.

In alot of your threads you say you adore all women.-
And in this tread you sterio type them all to be whore's
down on the dock's...-?
Man o Man, why would you say that...Being a family man and all...?-
I 'm way up here and the ground is rumbleing from your damage..-
How sad....

You have taken what I've said way way out of context...I was making no such a statement. Lighten up...its called a sense of humor....look into it

if you are a guy and you could be a girl for one day and have sex, would you do it

And my answer to the OP was a YES...I merely suggested that perhaps I would go to the docks to do it...You know...the whole support the troops thing.

And in this tread you sterio type them all to be whore's

If anything, I only called myself a whore. ....,hypothetically of course..remember, we were imagining here..were we not?

Perhaps if my sense of humor does not work out for me, I can devote some time to you personally to help you with the hard words to spell...such as Stereo ...and thread.

Have You Ever Imagined being the Opposite Gender during Sex?
Posted: 5/9/2009 5:58:40 AM
I cannot say that I ever imagined being the opposite gender, but considering my sheer admiration for the female body, I would probably spend half of the day squatting over a mirror just staring in amazement, and the rest of the evening down at the dock waiting for the sailors to arrive home.

First of all, no man (and no woman) is entitled to oral sex. However, like hugs and freshly-baked cookies, it is a tangible demonstration to how we feel about our partner.

If that be the case, It would go something like this I suppose.

Good Morning Sweetheart, Would you like a hug, a freahly-baked cookie or a blow job?........... Gee, I dunno honey...let me think about it a sec

Edit to post minutes later: Ok babe...now I would love to have one of those cookies you were talkin bout..... And thank you so much, that was GREAT!....hug

PICS - Party on the Big Pond April 25 - Sarasota

Looking at the pictures of the party that you guys had in Sarasota. I read the post all week long and could almost feel the anticipation that so many of you folks had . I Think that the hostess(s) should be very proud with the turnout and the wonderful job they did and, the great pictures that were taken and uploaded to POF were an excellent example of the perfect POF party. Good Job

Everyone has baggage. I suspect for most people we hope the person we are involved with has their baggage nicely squared away, in a suitcase under the bed, or on the top shelf in the closet.

I agree, but I also think to start an open and honest relationship with somebody, each should know the major contents of each others important bags and agree not to open them up again unless asked ….But I think that as we get older, we should also understand that when perusing a new relationship, some, if not most of us have more baggage now than we did as younger people but should also have the wisdom and patience to realize that all of those bags in the closet isn't anything but a bunch of old crap….it doesn’t mean a thing and if you need my help to carry some of it once and a while, I will be there for you.

What do you ENVY about the OPPOSITE sex ?
Posted: 4/26/2009 5:56:43 AM
Their ability to receive compassion through tears.

When a woman cries, in the company of her girlfriends, they gather around the sounds of her sobs quicker than Pavlov’s dog on a milkbone. They comfort her with hugs and give her encouragement, advice and support........

On the other hand if a man was to cry, in the company of his buddies, he would be ridiculed, goofed on, giggled at and then passed around the campfire like a bag of chips.

I hate those guys.

Why are so many attractive people divorced?

Why are so many attractive people divorced?

I do not know the full answer to that question and can only speak from my own experience. During my thirty year marriage, I have always considered my wife to be the attractive one and me...well, maybe not so much. I suppose after 30 years she thought her beauty was worthy of someone else besides the fellow who loved her for so long no matter what she looked like. I can say this, Beware of the outward beauty, there could be ugliness deep inside that takes years to surface and the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

What Have You Done Lately For......YOURSELF To Make You Happy???
Posted: 4/23/2009 9:07:28 AM
On a cool afternoon last week, I walked to the far end of my property carrying supplies consisting of 5lbs of wild bird seed, a folding table and chair, a rather large bottle of merlot and a wine glass, a couple of sandwich's for me and some dog snacks for Max,my 90lb lap dog. Now Max, he isn’t much on conversation but he is a real good listener, to tell the truth, I really think he was just there for the dog snacks but I didn’t let on that I knew it. So we just sat there, me and him just watching the birds eat and I took time to reflect. I thought about my 3 wonderful sons, how proud I am of them and how I watched them go from being sleepy eyed little boys to grown men in what seems like the blink of an eye. I caught myself smiling while thinking about my lovely granddaughter and the cute four and five word love letters that we always text each other. I thought about my first love and wondered how she was doing in life and then I shed a few tears thinking about my last love and what shall become of her. I then day dreamed about my next love and where could she possibly be and is she out there looking for me. I enjoyed my afternoon of reflection in the wilderness and I came away from it with these three things.

1. Life is beautiful and too short.
2. Always wear a hat when feeding so many wild birds.
3. If Max catches you not looking, he will snag one of your sandwich’s

The most favorite thing that happened to me this week is I finally decided to quit smoking.. I know, I know, that’s a great thing. But the bad part is, I thought I would try a hypnotist.. Now, not only do I smoke twice as much, every time the microwave dings, I start clucking like a chicken and then I pi$$ my pants and forget who I am for a half hour.

Do You Ever Feel Like Your Shopping on POF?
Posted: 4/22/2009 9:45:08 AM
Shopping...yes, that’s what I feel like I/we are doing here. First we enter our password and walk through the door. Then I check my mail (much like picking up the store flier at the entrance) nothing grabs my eye so I continue down the isle that say's MATCHES...you look around a bit before noticing the same old stuff that has been on the shelf for months but your cravings for something good keep you in the store and I continue aimlessly tapping my fingers on the mouse making the sound of a wobble(somewhat like the sound of a bad shopping cart wheel) as I turn the corner, I see the unmistakable VIEWED ME isle, so I stroll through, look around a bit, then I see something shiny and new and I start to thinking...dang, that looks purdy good. I reach up to take a peek at the ingredients and it reads something like this.

Museums 29%
kayaking 11%
rock climbing 11%
opera 46%
football 2%
sex 1% - + 1%

that's when I realize... I could get sick from that. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

all i get is guyswho wanna have sex????????
Posted: 4/22/2009 5:56:58 AM

all i get! bored guys who just wanna im and talk dirty....... that's boring and insulting. what am i doing wrong?

The easy answer to you dilemma is to disable your instant message feature. Exchange emails with these men a few times that contact you and then when you do decide to chat one on one live should he decide to bring up the subject of sex, then you have to make your next decision....either talk about sex, or chuck the guy to the weeds by referring him back to your profile. By the way, you will always get guys who want to have sex ( as the subject line implies ) It's a birds and bee's kinda thing. We can’t help it

What can I do to get more people be here?
Posted: 4/22/2009 5:22:58 AM
I too would like to see more forum activity here in the Maryland section. I live in Florida but am returning to Maryland this year as I was born there and lived there most of my life. The forums are a great way to meet new friends that are in the state you are in. There can be many good bits of information learned from the wide array of topics that arise and it it wonderful to hear the opinions and insights of others. I look forward to continuing to check the Maryland forums and add my two cents accordingly. I hope that there will be more activity here. I will post a thread here shortly to test the waters. I also hope others will do the same.

What really inspires you.
Posted: 4/21/2009 4:18:18 PM
Teachers inspire me..... I have over the years while my children were growing, watched this special breed of person that sacrifices so much of their time and life for one goal,…Developing the young minds that are the future of this country. Many are up at very early hours to be prepared and to arrive to school early and many of them also double as coach’s and tutors after school and do not even get home until late at night. They endure a pay grade that in my opinion is substandard at best, they put up with a large amount of disrespect from students. Many spend money out of their own pocket for school supplies sometimes and so many of them still do it knowing very well they could make more money in the private sector but still do it for the love of teaching, and for the future of our children and grandchildren, and our world.

It was either that, or fuzzy bunnys and puppy dogs....I took the high road.
