Accepting My Alone-ness: How Can I Do So?
Posted:
7/10/2008 9:18:41 PM
Alone-ness and loneliness are two different animals in my book.
Doing things alone is what makes me who I am.
Wanting to share what I've done while I'm alone is when loneliness enters.
But "Contingency Planning" scares me. Planning for something to happen
makes it less likely to happen. It's also betting against yourself in my book.
I guess though a fool with a plan is better than a genius without one.

This is the reason this Skunk keeps his pics in black & white. First it cuts to the chase...
you either like this ugly mug or it grows on you. Second black & white is Skunx favorite
color.
It worx for the ladies the same way...some I've met have so much charm, charisma,
and class that I'm easily distracted from their beauty. A real character goes miles
with me.
You don't have to be Ms. Photogenic in my book. You gotta be real.

"April Showers" I presumed "Tiny " was in regard to anatomical feature. I'm sure one would not purchase a BOB that was called a "Cave Dancer".lol!
PS. Of course that would be only if the shoe fits. (Or BOB that is)
Have I dug a deep enough hole for myself ? (No pun intended.)

Do what your heart tells you. You have to live with your decision. Personally,
if you know her well enough, a face - to -face should suffice. Then maybe she'll
share her situation, then maybe she won't. At least she'll know you care.

Sensuality in your 50's.....
Posted:

Let's see if I can screw this topic up more than it is now.......Sensual feelings, for myself,
would be , as a man, a certain cockiness and saviour faire combined with firm
gentleness.
As far as Sexual feelings verses Sensuality .....one would not exist without the other.
Women who exude sensuality are sexy, and whether they like it or not Women
who are sexy project sensuality.
Damn....where are all the female skunks at? Practicing I Hope!

future of dating. Personally, I see us standing in 3-dimension holograms introducing
ourselves and meeting without every really making personal contact.

Even though the OP's position has now changed I believe my friend A/W

OP: Pretty morbid topic....what I would do for the love of my life would know
no boundaries. I've seen the good and bad of getting old watching and living
among the older generation of folks in my life. I've seen the devastation and
endearment caring for those you love can bring.
It's up to you and your personal demons on how you treat those that may need
your strength and dexterity during this time of life.
I, for one, would take the higher road.

Sick of evil
Posted:

OP: Humans have used, evil as good ,and good as evil , ever since man took the leap from monkey to man. Does it make it right? No. What can they get away with until
you stop them,if you stop them? Evil succeeds where there are no checks and balances.
But then who does the checks and balances?
"^BG^" typed it best "I do owe humanity my awareness." As with a child you must repeatedly remind them of your vigilance. They must hear "I see what you're doing.
Stop it!"
All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.

No time for coffee dates, at my age
Posted:
5/31/2008 7:19:02 PM
OP: I see your point in the "coffee date" and "meet & greet" situation. A lot of
folks don't think about the preparation it may take to just make it to these meetings.
Your quite right about talking to each other on the phone for awhile until
we're both comfortable with meeting. Though, I have been told that they thought
I was never going to get around to asking them to meet. I'm not shy , but I'm not
pushy either. I hope I'm not that dense either. LOL!
My idea of a "meet & greet" is usually a brunch or lunch. I make sure I set
enough time aside to get to know the person who has piqued my interest.
I don't call it a date ....because it may not work for one or both of the parties
involved.
My Motto is : Take the time to take the time!

I quit using pick up lines when they turned sour.
I approached two young ladies sitting at a table in a club and asked ," Would
one of you ladies like to dance?".
And one responded by saying, "Me and my girlfriend are lesbians."
To which I responded sheepishly, " I don't care where your from, I'll
dance you with you anyway." Which saved me face and gotta laugh
out of them. (Their boyfriends showed up about 10 minutes later.)

When I was young, an elderly gent was sitting by me on a bench at the local Sears.
and I noticed hair growing out of his ears and nostrils. And being a kid I asked
him about it, He said "I've run out of room on my head to grow hair, so it's growing
inside my head and coming out of the holes on my skull." That so grossed me out
I never wanted to grow old.
Now ,I'm trimming hair coming out of orifices that I can't get to grow on my
head. I knew he lied to me! LOL!

What a man over 45 looks for in a relationship.
Posted:
5/10/2008 4:09:43 AM
There are a lot of good responses on this subject and I would like to clarify myself
on how a woman decorates her home. Sparce or eclectic, lavish or bare, neat or cluttered, classic or modern, gives me a little insite on how she treats herself.
As an example, some women I've met have parts of their homes that are show cases of their interests.
I looked around my place and wondered what it might say about me.
Let's see books, tools, CD's, job related material, repair manuals, weights, and my two dogs asleep on my bed. And apparently, I have a thing for green curtains. But that's
what I see, you may see something quite the opposite.
"Here's all you have to know about men and women: women are crazy, men are stupid. And the main reason women are crazy is that men are stupid."
George Carlin
