glee that was a quote from the founding fathers and what other religions were practiced at the time? In fact the bible was the text book for childern at the time.

and i don't have a problum with anyone practicing there faith? when did i say no moslums, hindus, jews, voodo or any faith.

WILLIS -- School officials were silent Tuesday about a federal lawsuit filed on behalf of three pupils, accusing the Willis school district of refusing to allow children to carry or read the Bible.

The lawsuit, filed in Houston, alleges that a teacher at Lynn Lucas Middle School pulled two sisters from class after discovering that they were carrying Bibles and threatened to have them picked up by child-welfare authorities.

Another teacher told a pupil he was not allowed to read the Bible during free reading time and forced him to put it away, the lawsuit alleges. The boy also was required to remove a Ten Commandments book cover from another book, the lawsuit states.

School district officials did not respond to requests for comment.

saharam.. what dose the bible say on that? they will hate you for my names sake, and the cross is foolishness to them that are persihing. I dont not cram my faith in anyones face but when it comes to puplic arena i will stand firm in my faith to uphold it, and why shouldent i? others do the same thing try to impose they belife systems on us with the media, and laws and other things.

i do not hate anyone of any faith or non faith in fact i get along with most and repect there ideas i just dont agree with them and i have friends in many faiths. but i will draw a line and stand behind mine and not comprimize my faith for if i do its worthless. and i understand others that stand by there faiths or what ever they believe

rocket man. if they did that to that girl.. there were Wrong, and i would comdem them for that. i dont agree with forcing people. but also one view is going to be held either way right? so what make yours right? and mine wrong.

as for seperation of chruch and state, read jeffersons letter concerning this issue to the danberry baptist. when he said that he ment that there would not be a goverment church as there had been in england. the chruch of the united states run by the goverment, not that we could not have religion in goverment. in fact they held chruch in the capitol building.

Pleasant Grove City v. Summum (2007)
In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a landmark First Amendment ruling on February 25, 2009 clearing the way for governments to accept permanent monuments of their choosing in public parks. The decision comes in the case of Pleasant Grove City v. Summum, a critical First Amendment case in which the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) represented the Utah city in a challenge to a display of the Ten Commandments in a city park.

Pace students pray in spite of graduation controversy
Liberty Counsel warns religious freedom threats continue
Published June 9, 2009

PACE (FBW) – Many Pace High School seniors recited the Lord’s Prayer and wore crosses on their caps at their May 30 graduation ceremony in response to new restrictions meant to curb religious expression at school functions.

Students and school officials in conservative Santa Rosa County – near Pensacola – have found themselves embroiled in controversy in recent months regarding religious freedom and public schools. A series of events intended by the American Civil Liberties Union to shut down student led prayers and other religious activities has instead emboldened students to increased prayer, Bible study and Christian unity, according to several observers.

WILL CONGRESS PROTECT CHAPLAINS RIGHTS

We can report without bias that in June 2009, the U.S. Congress will again consider a bi-partisan bill supporting military chaplains rights, co-sponsored by two North Carolina Congressmen, Mike McIntyre (D-NC) and Walter Jones (R-NC), in the House Armed Services Committee. The pro-chaplain bill, H.R. 268, would simply guarantee military chaplains of all diverse faiths the right to pray publicly according to the dictates of their conscience. You can read the details in my article about that bill, which was published by the Washington Times on 7 May 09

its going on.

verzain what country are you from?

Zephaniah Swift
U. S. CONGRESSMAN; DIPLOMAT; JUDGE; AUTHOR OF AMERICA’S FIRST LEGAL TEXT (1795)
Jesus Christ has in the clearest manner inculcated those duties which are productive of the highest moral felicity and consistent with all the innocent enjoyments, to which we are impelled by the dictates of nature. Religion, when fairly considered in its genuine simplicity and uncorrupted state, is the source of endless rapture and delight

James Madison
SIGNER OF THE CONSTITUTION; AUTHOR OF THE FEDERALIST PAPERS; FRAMER OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS; SECRETARY OF STATE; FOURTH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
A watchful eye must be kept on ourselves lest, while we are building ideal monuments of renown and bliss here, we neglect to have our names enrolled in the Annals of Heaven.72
I have sometimes thought there could not be a stronger testimony in favor of religion or against temporal enjoyments, even the most rational and manly, than for men who occupy the most honorable and gainful departments and [who] are rising in reputation and wealth, publicly to declare their unsatisfactoriness by becoming fervent advocates in the cause of Christ; and I wish you may give in your evidence in this way.

Francis Scott Key
U. S. ATTORNEY FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA; AUTHOR OF THE “STAR SPANGLED BANNER”
[M]ay I always hear that you are following the guidance of that blessed Spirit that will lead you into all truth, leaning on that Almighty arm that has been extended to deliver you, trusting only in the only Savior, and going on in your way to Him rejoicing.

George Washington
JUDGE; MEMBER OF THE CONTINENTAL CONGRESS; COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE CONTINENTAL ARMY; PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION; FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES; “FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY”
You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are.

Daniel Webster
U. S. SENATOR; SECRETARY OF STATE; “DEFENDER OF THE CONSTITUTION”
the Christian religion – its general principles – must ever be regarded among us as the foundation of civil society.

Benjamin Franklin
SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION; DIPLOMAT; PRINTER; SCIENTIST; SIGNER OF THE CONSTITUTION; GOVERNOR OF PENNSYLVANIA
As to Jesus of Nazareth, my opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the system of morals and His religion as He left them to us, the best the world ever saw or is likely to see.30
The body of Benjamin Franklin, printer, like the cover of an old book, its contents torn out and stripped of its lettering and guilding, lies here, food for worms. Yet the work itself shall not be lost; for it will, as he believed, appear once more in a new and more beatiful edition, corrected and amended by the Author. (FRANKLIN’S EULOGY THAT HE WROTE FOR HIMSELF)

Rufus Putnam
Revolutionary War General, First Surveyor General of the United States
First, I give my soul to a holy, sovereign God Who gave it in humble hope of a blessed immortality through the atonement and righteousness of Jesus Christ and the sanctifying grace of the Holy Spirit. My body I commit to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian manner. I fully believe that this body shall, by the mighty power of God, be raised to life at the last day; 'for this corruptable (sic) must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality.' [I Corinthians 15:53]

and every ones favorite, Thomas Jefferson

the proofs of the being of a God – the Creator, Preserver, and Supreme Ruler of the Universe – the Author of all the relations of morality and of the laws and obligations these infer – will be within the province of the Professor of Ethics

ok i know this is a hot button topic and people are passionate about it. however if you go back to what the founding fathers of this country (usa) the men that built it , sacrificed for it. it was always there in tent to have it. as for offending people that is not the intent, but i find it offenceive also that something this country was built on has been hyjacked in the name of political correctness.. and were dose it stop? there all ready are cases of pastors in court in the army for praying is JESUS name, kids being told they can not read a bible on there own time or pray, lawsuits against anything with the scripture on it. that is not what this country was founded on and not what the men that worte the decleration or bill of right intended. how ever they are allowed to read harry potter, koran, wicca and any other text they like. but when it comes to the bible or jesus ban it. what about annoying others? I see no one banning wicca, koran, harry potter, or any other such text. in fact its ok to teach other faiths in school it seems.

Noah Webster
REVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER; JUDGE; LEGISLATOR; EDUCATOR; “SCHOOLMASTER TO AMERICA”
The Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children under a free government ought to be instructed. No truth is more evident than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

I do not think you should cram it in people face but i do not think it should be banned as well. a chrisitan nation is a free nation, because our rights are god given not man, if god give they can not be taken away, however if man give they can be revoked.

I think the issue is that it makes you feel like your not number one in his life and there is compition, if you were his love why would not your pic be on there? it triggers feelings of insecurity in you and makes you feel you can not trust, a guard your heart kind of thing. woman have a need to feel 1st in a mans life or they don't feel loved, it makes them question if he really loves them. many times men don't understand how things like that effect the women because they think.. hey she knows i love her i do this and that, and have said it.. women need many times to be reafirmed of this love over and over. i bet he is clueless to how it really makes you feel.

Do people *really* believe there is only one right one ?
Posted: 8/23/2009 1:50:47 PM
there would be only one right one if people did not run anytime things got stale or did not judge a relationship on feelings only. look at them people that have been married for 40, 50, 60 years and i bet if you asked them there were times they could not stand the other but it was a season and it passed. but today there is always the bigger better deal and most of the time its a bait and swicth .

you entertain the thoughts of you and him, that takes away from you and your boy friend, your looking at everytihng he is not, and the other guy is playing mister good caring friend that has it all going on. its going to get ugly, and people are going to hurt. its called a crush and its feeling based we cant trust feelings. love is an action, and your actions are saying to him you dont love him. think if the shoe was on the other foot? you would be hurt, and mad. at your age i can tell you the other guy is thinking of your pants not your heart and who you are.

personaly i love God in schools and if we look at the founders of this county (USA) they agreed 100% with that. i dont see how it can hurt and in fact since they have removed prayer from schools things have only gotten worse. I understand them that object to it and respect there opinion on it. but i agree with it. someones belife system is going to be taught either way why not one that teaches morals.

Hot Water Heater - marketing gimmick?
Posted: 8/22/2009 6:10:59 PM
^^ tankless cost much more to purchase and install if money is a concern. and if im not mistaken they require mantance and hard water really messes with them.and they have some new hot water heaters that do almost as well as the tankless. Geo thermal is the way to go if you have cash to spend. heating, cooling, hot water in one package and can cut your bills almost in half

many times that is the case with things they sell. i work in heating and cooling and trane, american standard = same unit. bryant and carrier =same unit. amana and goodman = same unit. differnt prices . I have seen them at the warehouse pull one lable off and put another on. the only way to tell is to look at the features side by side. I would bet the 6 year one last as long as the nine year. but if your concernd get the warrenty as others have said you cant go wrong with that.

I told her i forgave her then she told me how bad her life has been since.. she ask if we could meet for coffee, and how she was not the same person, i then told her she needed to put her focus on her marriage where it belongs and not talk to old boyfriends.

depends on the person. there have been times i have ran head first in to it. but more often then not now i set back and let it grow. people put on masks when you meet that says im this and that. but in time that mask cracks and falls off and you see the real person behind, and sometimes thats a not so pretty person, i think with age comes wisdom . if its love and ment to be it will come no matter what

How often do you excuse bad behavor by saying What do you want? I'm a guy!
Posted: 8/22/2009 5:32:06 PM
depends on what the offence is. somethings can get blow out of proportion. but if i like the woman and i know it offended her or was out of line i have no problum saying, ya know what that did not come out right and im sorry. how hard is it? on the other hand if its something small that she should not be upset about and 99% of other people would not, then i would say oh well.

What type of religion is it?
Posted: 7/27/2009 7:42:31 PM
as i understand it they do not believe jesus is god. strange because what covers sin? the innocent blood of jesus shed on the cross for the christian. only his scarfice covers sin and with out it your still in it. I have herd many call them a cult but all said there nice people. Jesus claimed he was god in many verses, plus he fufilled something like 130 phophseys of the messiah. so if they do not believe that there not christians. and ask them if jesus was a lier they will say no, then he was god or was a lier one of the two.

I'm Not really worried about it. I live and work with many races and even people from other countrys. i seem to get along well with all. in todays world i has nothing to do with skin color but the condtion of the persons heart. if you hate its not because there white, black, or what ever its because you hold hate in your heart.

all i can do is be a better person for the next one that comes along. as for the past there was blame on both sides, i examined my faults and sought out answers to learn what I needed to change on my end of things. there was pain but from that great growth and understanding followed. will i do better? humm time will tell, all i can tell you is that I will be a better person the next go round.

Love
Posted: 7/15/2009 1:44:17 PM
love is hard to nail down in to a certin thing. but it encompasses many things. I know this much love is an action not just a feeling. i can tell someone all i want i love them, i love them, i love them.. but if there is no actions to macth.. there empty words. sometimes loves is sacrifice for the better of the one you love, sometimes its passion so deep you feel you will explode other times it's just being with some one in time of need. and so on and so forth. to give and example from the bible, john 3:16 god so loved the world he gave his only son.. look god loved. ok how? he gave , and action.

How can I change his interest?
Posted: 7/7/2009 8:38:19 PM
I don't think there is any easy or magic cure on this. tell him and you run the risk of losing him and his friendship, hold back and he will come for one thing and one thing only. you will however know how he truly feels after. I think in time if you continue on this course it will only lead to pain for you. because he will value you only for sex and nothing more then find someone he likes for both and then your used and out.

you need to make your self the girl he cant live with out and sex is only one part of that, work on the other parts and get to know more about men and what there likes and dislikes are.

I would only have one option in this case and that would be to try to save the person. my moral compass says get in there, help, talk, do what ever you can to help this hurting person. as for being held liable for this persons actions.. no they made there choice. but i would say not doing anything and walking away says something about your own heart.

Stuck on the rebound girl now...

This is why i gave up on women and got a dog...LOL.. sorry about your pain though.

I agree you need to take time to heal, most don't and jump right back in to the game. use the healing time to reflec on yours self and things that you can change, make better, and come back a better man , smarter man, healed man.

can a man change
Posted: 1/14/2009 2:14:43 PM
I think a man can change but for the most part it involves so sort of pain in there life to make them see things differnt.. for the most part we are who we are. but im not opposed to some wounderful woman changing a mans life.

why is it that men feel
Posted: 1/3/2009 10:34:23 PM
They got no game or understanding of women. women need there minds romanced before they are intrested in anything like that for the most part, and they don't want to feel like a slut. you have to make them loved and comfortable and it will come
