I thought I would check your profile, just to see where you are coming from. In your image voting break down you score very low in the women that are your age, but high with the women that are my age. Are you looking for an older woman? (Not that's there's anything wronge with that, they're great for me, but I'm older too) I'm sure you can't be any more ugly than I am, so you might want to follow you own advice about having a good photo of yourself up-front. Hope you are laughing at these comments, I have a warped sense of humor. Anyway, I think what I'm going to try to do is taking a photo of myself with the grand Alaska Range (mountains) in the background. What do you think? I want to attract someone that would rather watch moose browse than "American Idol." The women I'm intrested in should like interacting with the world around them more than watching someone else do so on the TV. Pretty funny concidering I work in broadcasting, huh? I would like to get some feedback from the women that use this site (nothing personal Nodule, but I trust womens judgement on these matters-after all it IS their opinion that counts in the end).

Thanks nodule. knew there had to be someone paying attention out there. Do you think it would be better to use pictures of me well dressed, or more of the mountain man look. That's the problem I am having getting photos. All of the photos I have of me out in the wilderness - well, I think they would scare women off. Besides, I'm living in the big city for now anyway. I think your advice on the headline and first date are right on. I'm going to work on those.

I have been getting a few dates from this site, but feel that maybe I could get better responce with some improvements on my profile. I think my photo is a little dark, it looks okay fullsize but not so good when it is reduced. What kind of photos get the best response? Keep in mind that I'm over forty and have a "wide part."

You say pople aren't responding to your profile? How many have you contacted? I'm not very good looking or rich, and I don't try to hide those facts. But, I do contact (as I'm sure they will testify to) just about every woman in Alaska that I find interesting on this site. Some write back and say "no thanks, your too ugly" or something to that effect, but I get dates too. The point is I put an effort into finding women that are interested in me just the way I am. I haven't found a "keeper" yet, but I think I will because I am willing to put out the effort. Now, how do I get a woman to STOP calling me without being mean. She has 10 children, treats men with no respect, and lives on welfare (yes I met her here).
