Going from Hi to bed??????
Posted: 2/22/2009 10:17:44 PM
TibiaMiss

I have been on this site 2 or 3 years. Unfortunately the experience you suggest is very common on line. Men usually do not have the courage to talk sex in person after saying hello!
i make it clear I want a sexual relationship but not with a stranger. I can pick up a man anywhere. Usually I find men mention sex and how hung they are and how well they can satisfy me and how kind, considerate, and romantic they are BEFORE they mention their name. My question is...if all this is so true...why are they divorced?HMMMMMMM!!!

Number 1, you are correct, she is too young for you..if you can't hold on to her now, what about when you are even older?

2nd, if you are so worried about your marriage, why do you list yourself as divorced, and what the heck are you doing on a dating site...sounds to me like you deserve each other.

How many people have actually went on a date using this site?
Posted: 6/11/2008 6:17:18 AM
I have been on approximately 20 dates in the 3 years I have been on here. Sometimes
we meet after a few emails, sometimes after emails and phone calls.

Most of the dates were not to my liking. Most had lots of emotional baggage. 3
were married but claimed not to be. There were a couple i liked really well but they
weren't interested in me...

How to approach me? With honesty, sincereity and no discussion of sex right off the
bat. Tell me about yourself and what you like to do for fun.

Women, Would you?
Posted: 4/26/2008 3:02:43 PM
I have known people with epilepsy. It is a controlable ailment. If I were younger, I would certainly date you. I dated and married a wonderful man who was bi-polar. We had 25 great years together until he died of cancer in 1994. Of course there were problems when he didn't take his medication..

I give you credit for not driving. We had a friend who had severe episodes of epilepsy where he would black out for sevral minutes at a time. His doctor allowed him to drive.
He tooks his meds faithfully.
One day on his way to work, he blacked out and drove almost 1500 feet before he hit a 16 year old girls car waiting at a traffic light and shoved her under a semi. she was killed immediately and David was and is still devastated. He went to prision for 3 years believe it or not..like it was his fault.

I am so sorry that people are so shallow and cannot see you are a real person who happens to have a physical/ailment. I sometimes have the same problem with being fat. We are who we are and no one is perfect except God.

good luck

Is it okay for a woman to hit a man?
Posted: 4/16/2008 2:16:39 PM
you bet....if he hits her first . hit him with everything she has, baseball bat, skillet..whatever.

My late husband never hit not even once although there were brat attacks that warranted it. I told him when we first married that if he ever hit me, he better never ever go to sleep again because he wouldn't live to see the morning

Does it take longer to recover the loss of a loved one through divorce or widowhood
Posted: 4/11/2008 10:43:47 AM
There is a lot of guilt associated with death...there is also financial hardship. As a divorced person there is always that chance however slim that you might get back together...at least you can still see that person. Your children can stil see their father or mother...mine could not.

I just know I am not qualified to judge your pain and you certainly have no right to judge mine.

Anyone else out there in love with someone they can't have?
Posted: 4/5/2008 9:40:10 PM
Yes me. And he is the love of my life too...and I know he belongs to someone else. Believe it or not I believe him when he tells me he loves me. I also know he loves her.
He makes no promises and I expect none. We live 2500 miles apart so it makes it easier. I have no intention of trying to break up their marriage..but it doesn't stop me from thinking about him and dreaming about him, and wishing he were mine.

I am trying to move on but unfortunately, I think I am looking for his clone...

In response to the popular Woman's 50 Rules for Men...
Posted: 3/7/2008 4:10:27 PM
digital nights...I think you are a jerk...that being said, I don't know what the 50 rules for men is and I don't care. It is ridiculous to make rules for other people unless you are an educator or a prison guard.

People are who they are. They don't change for you or anyone else no matter how much they love you...if you do not find the traits you want in a man (or woman) move on.

Some of the rules you have for women show a lack of consideration no wonder you aren't married. Its all about compromise...Women certainly know how to work the toilet seat, after all if they waited for most men to clean it, it would be crawling with all kinds of nasty germs.
The idea of putting the seat down is a polite thing to do, nothing more...however, I have laughed my butt off when occasionally my late husband would forget to put the seat down. Getting up in the dark to potty and lowering yourself to the seat is like falling and when your butt hits the cold porcelin, it is quite a shock...nothing to get upset about...

Not kissing on the first date.....why is that a problem with some men.
Posted: 3/5/2008 5:13:34 AM
This past Sunday I had a dinner date with a man I met on another site...He fixed me a wonderful dinner at his home. I had told him upfront that I expected him to behave as a gentleman which he did. But after dinner, he asked me to sit on the couch next to him. He asked me to give him a kiss. To me a first kiss is more like a smooch than a tongue thrusting trying to swallow me whole kiss. I have to admit that I was not attracted physically to this man at all. Needless to say I felt quit uncomfortable with the intensity of his kissing.
I also confirmed what I suspected all evening; and that he had no top teeth...what a turn off, lol! Plus he did not brush his teeth after dinner...gross!
I pulled back from him and I told him I felt uncomfortable kissing him on the first date
and could we just talk and hug and get to know one another...he said he wasnt
interested in talking...so the moment got a little stressed. ...then he asked me to leave...
whew was I relieved...
Also he lied about his age, he was 10 years older than he said...what's up with lying?
Do people who lie think they will get away with it?

Is it ok for a overweight person to reject another overweight person, solely based on them being overweight?
Posted: 3/1/2008 8:44:42 AM
omg you are so prejudiced...To even think that a fat person cannot reject someone for size is insane to me.. does this mean that I have brown eyes that I have to go out with every brown eyed person who asked me when I like blued eyed people?

A lot of very thin men like BBW women, does that mean they have to go out with skinny women...you are nuts

Posted: 2/9/2008 8:23:54 AM
What is the point in leaving? You don't have to make this site your only avenue of meeting people. You can do both...lol!

Sometimes I think some of you feel the need to tell us you are going because you love drama and want us to feel sorry for you. I have been on here a couple of years and I'm still fishing...doesn't mean that I "have" to meet someone from here...people just come into our lives, we don't go looking around every corner or bush for them. That shows a desperation that is easily diagnosed from a potential suitor.

I have met many men from here and just because we meet doesn't mean we click...sometimes I like them and they don't like me and vice versa...it's life, sometimes fair, sometimes not.

Dang! you ARE tall dark and handsome. if you were in the stated I would tell you that I am 63, overweight, sexy and find your terribly appealing. I have no trouble getting dates from here because I don't lie about who or what I am. and yes it has happened to me also...I am one of those women who wont talk to you unless you have a pic. I figure if I have to put my self out there for the world to see, so should others. But in only one instance did the man look better than his picture

So he wants your phone number....
Posted: 2/4/2008 12:21:54 PM
this is my position on this...since one man threatened to kill me because I wouldn't meet him...per the police's advice, I no longer give out my home phone unless I know him pretty well...I give out my cell phone because the police say it cannot be traced. If the man calls me and does not show up on caller id, or give me his # , I move on.

Most men on here just want to get off by talking dirty to you...if they are serious, they will give out their number...simple as that. Most of the men I've met on here don't eve want to date, they want to go straight to bed...I say no and never see them again...their loss.

I think the picture of them posing with the car is to impress you and make themselves seem important.

But as I've said to many men who send me a picture that shows their cars and I have to squint to see him...if I wanted to date a "car" I would put that in my profile.

Most of us (at least me) are not that shallow.

Have you ever met someone who rejected you
Posted: 1/29/2008 8:35:34 AM
Yes I've been rejected in person...hurts for a little while...but that's it. I always let them know up front I am overweight. If they don't want to give me a chance, is their problem not mine.

But in all humility I must confess I reject men about 20 to 1. I've only had 1 or 2 look better than their picture. Most are so fat and or bald, 20 years younger that I don't recognize them. Of course I don't reject them because of that but because if I don't feel some chemistry..I wouldn't go out with them again and I don.t
