So is a JPEG different from a JPG? And how do I work out if a pic is under 4MB in size? I can't tell these things by looking at it.

I'm getting an error message telling me my photos can't be uploaded because it can't tell what kind of image I'm trying to upload. It then says "Images = text/ plain" or something like that. I can't make head or tail of what I'm supposed to be doing that I'm not. For reference the pics in question are JPGs saved as text on my desktop. I also tried uploading them saved as complete web pages but that didn't work either. Hope you can help.
