Yougofirst...Thanks! That was so kind of you to speak gently! I have had other pics....just don't have any social scenes except a Hooters shot and was told that is not a good idea! I hope a lot of women are in stealth mode then! Maybe I can stretch my height by an inch! I am 5'6 1/2 anyway! I will try yet again on pics...which is awful because studio pics are not cheap and I did them just for THIS SITE! ARGHHH!

I think both pics are nice...I can't believe women don't even want to VIEW me! If they won't even look...how will they respond? I had them professionally made and since Thursday...now Monday...only two views. What is the problem with the pics...my face?

Well, I finally got new pictures up and changed my profile. New pics posted last night. The new pics are professionally made. Still new in the system...but no new looks even! Any idea why?

I am trying to load a new image and there is no "browse" button on the page. It just shows the pics I have now but no way to add or delete and no browse button. Any idea what happened? I did not see a help section that answered this problem.

Why did you get divorced?
Posted:

After reading all these stories my question is WHY ANY OF THESE PEOPLE WANT TO DATE! Scary! We are so powerless over our ives. We think we have it all under control...that we found "the one" and will live happily ever after. One person can be completely devoted to the marriage and the other secretly wants out. Scary thing is...apparantly it happens a lot! If I were in some of these people's shoes I would have a hard time ever trusting in marriage again.

Futureshock...I was thinking the same thing...then read his profile. He states he has values and then lists bipolar among other deal breakers. I can't be in his shoes and determine whether or not he has values or what makes it impossible for him or others to deal with a marriage relationship gone bad. It can't be easy when someone has a psychological problem...even if treated. What is sad is that the unknown "for better or worse" happens and people have innocent kids or an innocent..sometimes...spouce and the marriage ends. I watched my mom deal with my dad's alcoholism and emotional problems until she could no longer take it. He wasn't a bad or mean man...just selfish and often felt the "world was out to get him" instead of assuming responsibility for his own choices in his life. I was grown when she left him. Even then and knowing why...as a grown man I feel the product of a defective father. I wonder if HIS kids will feel defective and unworthy of love because their mom was ill?

Well, as a humble guy I can't relate! Way out of my league. Congrats on your many accomplishments! May come across as conceited and may make women either attracted or intimidated. Maybe like you have so much on your plate that you might not have time for them? I could be wrong...just perspective from a less accomplished guy. Take it for what it is or is not worth!

Quite a bit of food for thought . I understand where you are coming from. That is why I did not want to put the job down. As far as all you stated, I am afraid you might be right. Women DO want a guy who is ambitious. "Content with mediocrity and a shack" however, I am not so sure I am with you on that. My jobs are ENJOYABLE for me and my "shack" is PAID FOR...as are my two cars you might call beaters. I have no stress, no high-pressure job, no mortgage and car payments....no credit card debt. Seems like a pretty good life to me! In other's eyes I might be considered to be unambitious....and maybe that is true. But I am happy and meeting a woman and falling in love would be a blessing...not a necessity. If it takes a great job, career/education achievement and the ability to buy a real house, new cars and do expensive hobbies and interests to attractand keep a woman....guess I will likely remain single...and content.

Thanks...my dilemma too. It is said the most greedy back-stabbing money-grubbing people are ones who CLAIM to be Christians. I kind of figure a person will show their true colors no matter what. I do not claim to be perfect, strive for it...as best a human can...but know I am forgiven. I do not want to come across as self-righteous. I do want someone who knows what a relationship with God is and how it relates to our relationships.

Thanks for the kind words. I changed the profile this morning. I don't think the low income is a big deal to me...but I certainly can't provide for a woman who makes two or three times as much is all. Maybe women would see it as a lack of ambition that I don't have a college degree...but I included profession in the new profile anyway.

Been a week since I updated the profile...some views...no responses. Any idea? Maybe women just don't find me attractive looks-wise and no words can change that? How do you know the answer to that?

Thanks! Funny...a coworker of mine...male told me about the site, has one picture, says nothing in his profile and gets hundreds of emails and has like 45 women who favorited him...can't even begin to tell how many dates he has gotten off of here! Yet, here I am with NO initial contacts by women. Yes....the magazines are full of those things...good idea! I NEVER met a woman who DIDN"T have an opinion on everything. And the funny things is.....usually they are right even when it is the total opposite of what I was thinking. That is an amazing thing about women.

I may be odd...but to me...no baggage meant no digging up past relationship issues. At 55 you have had time to have a lot of that as do most people that age.

Like I said...no college degree. I am a full time Parts Delivery Driver for a car dealership and part time...on Saturdays I detail cars at a used car lot. What woman will find THAT attractive? I like both jobs and make no apologies. I do not make over 26K a year with both jobs. I am fortunate that my mobile home...a 97 and cars are paid for. I do not have lots of money to blow on fancy trips and activities. Do I aspire for more? Nope, content with both jobs. Happy...love the work I do. Do I wish they had status and appeal to women...SURE! That is why I did not post the jobs.

I changed my pictures and changed my profile. I am 44, never married, no kids and male. I am a Christian and stated that. I read profiles of other guys and tried to see what got activity. I do not want to state interests I do not have or activities I do not do just to get interest. I am a good guy, work hard, manage my finances well....but do not have a college degree or even a high paying job. I have a paid for house, cars and owe nothing to anyone. I do not know what to share in the profile. I even debated putting in Christian because some people will say they are when they are not....their actions would tell if they were or mine would tell if I was! Any ideas?
