This time it was a shotgun. He intended to do a LOT of damage to a LOT of folks at the same time. This guy was a lunatic plain and simple and if he didn't have a gun, I guarantee he would have waited until church let out and mowed them down in his car. Police are allowed to shoot the driver of a car that is being used as a weapon because in the hands of a lunatic, it IS a weapon. We gonna ban cars then? Or...take away the madmans license...ooooo theres a cure. If someone IN the church had a gun and knew how to use it, he may not have been captured alive. They'd be cleaning brains from the back wall.
Does everybody here agree that if we do away with guns that then it will be knives, baseball bats, hammers, axes etc etc etc....
The @$$wipe from Illinois, Nicholas T. Sheley who killed EIGHT people did it with an axe and other blunt instruments. No gun needed. Was so quiet about it, nobody heard the killings.
The dumb@$$ in Tenn only got two with a shotgun, Sheley got EIGHT with NO gun.
The simple truth is...if someone is hellbent on killing, a gun is NOT needed and is actually an attention getter whereas a baseball bat or axe is far more effective if one wants to be stealthy about it.

Law abiding citizens will always be allowed to keep guns and if it's ever threatened, I will have my say. I didn't retire from this man Army to have anti-gun advocates take away a right I fought to keep. The problem is this....outlaws have guns, just not registered so we have NO idea who does have them. Take the energy that is put into trying to take them away from law abiding citizens and put it into figuring out how to make the guns that are manufactured and shipped...make it to their destination and make them inoperable without a keycode or some other device. That way if stolen, it can't be used. That would be circumvented no doubt....so...

Guns are not going away, neither is murder...accept it.
Off to get my conceal/carry permit....

Well if you got salmonella, you'd probably be the first in line to sue someone and you'd rethink your over-reaction claim. The press just reports the numbers in this case, they are not creating a story by mis-quoting or creative editing like they usually do.
Salmonella is not pretty and can kill in some cases. Over-reaction? I think not.
What we have is morons running the corporate farms trying to make a buck. Using whatever means necessary to produce a crop as fast as they can.
Spinach sprayed with feces infested water a while back....there was a no brainer...
What will the bottom line be on the tomatoes? I'll vote for more moronic decisions made by people who can't tie their shoes without help.

What's funny is...we have brainiacs crying about the press or the government over-reacting..yet if they or family got sick, the question would then become..."Why isn't the government doing more to protect the food we eat?" It never ends with these people...

It was outdated when enacted.
If Obama gets elected and I don't see that happening....not this time around...AA is dead. It shouldn't have been enacted in the first place. What should have been done was to make it so college entrance applications were non gender and non race specific...
How many non-minorities were denied entry into the school of their choice due to not being a minority...thats reverse discrimination. Affirmative Action actually penalizes some groups.
The colleges dropping SAT requirements is the next big step to making it easier for anyone to get into college...not just minorities.
The applications should not ask for race or gender. Even last names can allude to race....
One accepted...then deal with at least gender for housing etc. Then everyone is on a level playing field.

There is something wrong with the notion that due to race, a person is better or worse educated. If that is indeed the case...fix it at the source...the local public schools.

What it means is they have a job, a car, a life, friends etc and don't need some knight, a savior, a superman to swoop in and save them...
While a team depends on each other for success, the individuals of that team can act independently and still be successful. In baseball, all 9 guys are a team but you dont have the entire team running to catch a fly ball. You dont have all 9 guys on the mound to pitch the ball. They all act individually...independently of each other...they all have a job to do....as we do in relationships...a fairly simple concept...

If women put a hard one year rule in to effect....the idjuts would go elsewhere for their encounter. These are adults....right? The problem is, a lot of women are like men who can't stop dipping their pens in the inkwells, they can't keep their legs shut. They equate sex with love...and it takes two to have sex. Otherwise it's just self-gratification...right....
So any woman who gets tricked into having sex, has it coming. If they are naive enough to let some dog trick them, they never learned from others or their own past mistakes. What year is this? 2008 right? With all the information available on the internet and all the horror stories of men tricking women, drugging them etc...there is NO excuse....for a women being tricked into anything. Men have learned to manipulate women's emotions and feelings...if you fall for it...nobody to blame but yourself.
Turn the tables....stop spreading for every sweet talker....make them PROVE their love. If they LOVE you, they'll wait for marriage to dip their pens...it's f**king as simple as that.

We have enough unenforceable laws now...what would we do with another...?? And how would an innocent man defend himself? Her word against his. Why this thread wasn't deleted on day one is beyond me...

I'm sure she used the separate car as the escape method...but a guy should NEVER offer...not on a first date. If she already looked uncomfortable, THAT would have sent warning bells ring-a-ding-a-linging...

The whole "blind" date thing is scary enough for a woman even in a public place. Then you offer to take her in your car leaving her no way out.

Then you have the possibility that she is still involved with someone or married. In a public place she could run into her runnin' buddies who might ask "Where's (insert sig others name here)?

We cannot act like we how someone may act in a stressful situation. People have anxiety attacks....or issues with how stress is handled.
Just chalk it up as a learning experience and what never to do on a first date ever again. Let THEM make the transportation decision...don't suggest or offer. In this day and age of women disappearing under strange circumstances....you should have been aware of how that may look to someone you've never met.

There is some truth to it. The injections part is where the myth is.
The cows receiving injections are the milk producers, not beef producers. Thats why over the last 20 years, little girls started growing breasts and starting periods sooner as the growth hormones are passed into the milk. I haven't shopped at WalMart in forever...and they are one of the largest distributors of the hormone/antibiotic laden crap. Farmers who inject their milk cows have found they live shorter lives than naturally raised cows offsetting any gain they realized by injecting. So they spent money on injections to kill their cows sooner...money not well spent.

Back to the corn.
HUMANS....don't digest corn. Eat a can of Nibblets and call me in 12 hours and give me your results.

Cows have FOUR (4) stomachs and also chew their cud....creating full digestion. It ferments in their stomach creating the methane.
Go take a look at a cow patty and tell me if you see corn.
Government subsidies to the corn farmer created the mess....corn farmers grow cheap feed corn, beef farmers buy it cheap and feed it to the cows. Soooo.....if congress stopped subsidizing, corn prices would shoot through the roof...beef farmers would revert back to tall grass grazing....and cows would get just as large and the threat of E.Coli will be reduced to nil.

We have a form of a savior here however....and that is fuel for cars. However....to keep up with the increased consumption, more grazing land will be needed...screwing up the whole tall grass thing.

With your negative attitude about online dating sites OP, you should have all the women swarming around you in no time......................

Well after the lawsuits that some states attorney generals have brought against a few of those sites, he has reason to be negative. Yahoo personals was one, Date.com another.
These things dont always hit the news and a LOT of people dont even realize they are being cheated and ripped off.

Fact, some places only charge the men.
Fact, some places charge you in order to READ your e-mail let alone send any.
Some places block your personal e-mail address from being sent to another member.

Let me explain the scam perpetrated by some sites...
You join for free...you can browse etc but if you want to contact anybody, you have to pay. Fair enough.
If you DON'T pay...expect a few e-mails from gorgeous women who live in your city and/or state. Of course you can't read their e-mails and if you can, you can't reply....until you pay. Here's the scam...the women don't exist. They are bot accounts. These "accounts" send e-mails to new members who have not paid. After you pay up and respond to the e-mail, they never respond back.
A few guys suspected what was going on and tested the system by making up new bogus accounts. BAM...like clockwork....the new accounts received e-mails from...gorgeous women. If they created an account in the same city state, they received e-mails from the exact same bot accounts....if they created accounts in other states, same thing only different bot accounts from THAT state.

If you pay, expect the activity on your account to pick up as soon as the membership is about to expire. That keeps you paying so you can stay in contact.

Some sites go as far as filtering anything after the @ sign in an e-mail to another member...keeping you tied to THAT site to stay in communication. So you are not allowed to send an e-mail address like (at)yahoo.com

So he has every right to feel ripped off because he was. Some sites like I said ONLY charge the men and the women are NEVER aware of this.

So even for all of PoF's faults....it's free and doesn't block e-mail addresses from being sent...

Hey, women do it too. So don't think ya'll have the market cornered on single-mindedness.
Usually it's because the women they WERE dating found them out to be a real a-noose (sound it out).
When the well runs dry...they have to dig a new well.... metaphorically speaking... And Merry Christmas too....

BS.....ALL men ARE dogs. Just different breeds.
Some are like the little Chihuahua, all bark. Some like a Great Dane... Some like a German Shepherd...
Women just have to find the breed they like the most and that most suits them.
The problem is, when a particular kind of woman keeps attracting the dogs who want to hump their legs all day or pee on their rugs or don't mind their manners or the ones who are not loyal or faithful and will mount anything that stands still long enough.
So....ALL men ARE dogs...

Or....here's a thought....unless they're living in la la land...and have the Barbie complex, they COULD....just COULD be looking for stability. There are a LOT of companies that will not hire a person if they have have 6 jobs in 4 years...that doesn't include contract workers...thats sort of expected. So why can't a woman, or man for that matter, be looking for a stable individual? Seems reasonable. If you flit from job to job, live with mom or in a dinky apartment and you're in your 40s....perhaps you have a set of priorities that denote a lack of responsibility...or you were taken to the cleaners by the EXs lawyer....in that case...well, should have hired a better shot..I mean attorney.

Let me help you out here: Bush wanted $5 million and congress wanted $35 million. And congress wanted to add people that didn't need it and those that are well past the age of being adults.
Veto was the right thing to do.
This is not insurance this is welfare/transfer payments.

Here's the thing that nobody bothers to check, what else was in the bill that had he signed it that we'd have shoved down our throats??? He's yankin' your chain. If he can't be serious in the dating process, how do you think he'll treat you in marriage if it ever got that far. If you try to break it off and he promises "I'll change if you stay", run. He's just trying to delay the inevitable.
If you had one occurrence in your post, I'd call you paranoid for no reason...however, you have a chain of events that point to one thing: A relationship that's going nowhere...and if I may be blunt....if you're still intimate with him, thats what he's after anyway and if I were you I'd cut him off and find someone worthy of YOU...
AHoles are a dime a dozen. Someone who treats you like YOU deserve....not the other way around. Don't second guess anything...if you leave, STAY gone....dont take him back.

Let me first address your language issue. Did we bother to learn Cheyenne? Arapaho? Apache? Creek? No....we killed the livin sheeit out of the Native Americans...stole their lands, nearly wiped out their food supply, put them on reservations, forced marched them into oblivion, gave them outhouses to crap in and told them to STFU. I was in the U.S. Army with a Native American....his first glimpse of a toilet was at the Reception Station at Ft. Dix, NJ. We had Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Mexicans in our company. They are good enough to fight for this country but as soon as they are done, we toss them back over the border?
When we give back the lands that we killed people to steal from them, I'll listen with great interest in what we should do about the immigration. Until we do what is RIGHT....STFU about the illegals.
And what's wrong with being bi-lingual? Increases your stature in the WORLD....remember that place? Where we live with other countries? I dated a woman who speaks 7 languages fluently. I can barely speak English and I'm an American, born and raised here.
Our very language...if people would pull their heads out long enough to realize...is about 10 different languages formed into one. You think other languages have words similar to our??? NOOOOO.....ours are similar to THEIRS because we borrowed from them.

So....learn Spanish...give back to Native Americans what we stole, learn to live with the fact that we have a GLOBAL ECONOMY....and get on with life. You're no better or worse off than 20 years ago. You only think you are because the media tells you what to think instead of sticking with the facts...
If you think you life would be better without the immigrants....remember...EVERY AHOLE in this country came from somewhere else unless you're Native American. I don't give a crap if you were born here...you're an immigrant and thats a fact. If the Native Americans had done to us what we try to do to the people coming in from the south....there would be a whole lot less fat @$$es around to complain...
Whats really sad...is the Northern Border....we're letting in more Indian and Afghani, Arab etc than is what is coming across the southern border. The US Government knows our economy depends on the migrant worker...and they are letting in a stream "legally" to make up for what the Border patrol sends back...so it's Status Quo....

Some people have made friends here and stay on to visit forums, keep in touch with friends they've made. Have you considered that? Or is every moment on here supposed to be spent Meat Marketing? It's a COMMUNITY....say it with me...com•mu•ni•ty. The only rules are those set by the owner....
And even if they HAVE found someone...it's no business of anybodies to question them. Polite brushoff maybe....but if you can't let THAT slide, imagine how a REAL relationship with you would be??? Maybe they have a 6th sense and felt you have issues.

If they say "I've met someone", honor their word and move on. Not every woman is going to be attracted to you...unbelievable as that may seem...it's a fact.
