Myself, I'm type 2 diabetic, so sweets are simply out. I'm not a big fan of turkey, I prefer ham, if it's available. I don't eat potatos, I do like yams so I'll have that instead. Easy on the stuffing, lots of veggies, not much gravy. It's about self control. My mom does make me a small no sugar whole wheat crust apple pie. I quarter it and have that over a few days.

While it would be fantastic, there is a lot for the man to lose in the divorce of such a woman, especially if there was a great difference in salary. Probably not worth the risk, for myself. But it's a nice thought. I'm looking for someone on a similar footing to myself. Two incomes are better than one, and would afford us a more comfortable lifestyle. I grew up with both parents working, middle class, and could see the benefits. My ex and I were within around $10,000 of each other salary-wise, so it was a pretty lean split. We had our own salary, we each had our own pensions, etc etc. So it wasn't an ugly messy process. We were equals. I liked that.

He's a salesman, and know those guys are "always selling" but Jesus dude, do your workout and go to work. I'm just glad that he's not all Chatty Cathy with me. OK here's a dirty little secret. I dye my hair. It only goes grey on my temples, and has been slowly going grey since I was about 24. For the longest time I just left it. I had 2 stepkids, and I always pointed to one side and said "This is from Jamie" Pointed to the other side and said "And this is from Shane" If I don't dye it, I look like the guy from Fantastic 4, whatever his name is. Dr. Reed or whatever. I look around and EVERYONE dyes their hair, so I thought screw it, and went for it. I get it done every 4 weeks. I dunno, I like it, it works for me. Without it, it's kinda salt and pepper on the sides, but I prefer it all dark! Like I said EVERYONE dyes their hair, I'm not sure when I'll stop. 50 maybe, once it's TOO obvious. shrugs

I've done that in real life. Hehe, I hung out with a friend of a friend all day, and we had a good time. We ran into her ex boyfriend and he hassled and hassled her for her number. After he left I said "hey can I have your number?" She said "sure!" and gave it to me. I smiled and said "you know, I'm NEVER going to call" She said "OMG you are terrible!!!!!" LOL oh, I never did end up calling. LOL But we are friends.

There are different brands of stevia, so you might want to try the different ones. Sometimes there's a bit of an after taste, but it's not too bad. I find orange and grape work the best. I like the brand Organika, but it might not be available there.

I make Kool Aide, the little packets. Instead of a cup of sugar, I use a half teaspoon of Stevia Sweetner. It's all natural, good stuff. Crystal Light still has Aspertame. This has none!

Are you talking rolls? The seaweed is good for you, rice, well no worse than potatos. I think you would have to eat a lot to equal the typical serving of stand alone fish. They say you should eat 2 servings of fish a week. Picture how many servings you would get from a typical serving of fish.

When I make a shake in the morning (every morning) I always double it up, and then I have enough for an afternoon snack (afternoon coffee breaks, when I'm at work, or afternoon when I'm not) The best way to keep it so it doesn't get all nasty and separate, is to put it in a small thermos, and put that in the fridge. Here's my typical protien shake. I use unsweetened almond milk, just use 1%, skim or whatever, also check the sugar content on "low fat" yogurt, they sometimes up the sugar as a result. I've seen as much as 26 grams of sugar in a 1/2 cup of no fat yogurt. :facepalm: ANYWAY 1.5 cups milk 1 cup unsweetened low fat yogurt 1 cup frozen blueberries 3 heaping tablespoons ground flax seed 2 tablespoons hemp hearts 30 - 40 grams of protien powder. But yeah, no point making a gallon of the stuff and then having to wait an hour for it to unthaw. Like I said, I put half in a thermos, and then put that into the fridge for later that day. Just add the time into your schedule. I do it like clock work, every morning.

That's a lot of bucks for one day. I think we spent maybe 7k on ours. Probably closer to 6500. There were about 115 guests, $65/plate. Of course that was back in 99. So I'm sure its a bit pricier these days. If I were to do it again, my bride and I would take off somewhere for a week, and get married on the beach. Just the two of us.

Don't feel stupid at all man. You stepped up to the plate, and you put it on the line, in the hopes of good things. So it didn't work. For that moment, when you got up the courage to tell her everything... you got up that courage. Now you know. It was the chance you took. I did the same thing once. All my life I pretty much dated people who I KNEW would say yes when I asked them. There was this girl, we were great friends, almost best friends at the time. I always wondered if there could be more, wondered if she felt the same. Every time we hung out I wondered if she felt the same, if we could take it to the next level. So one day I laid it all out there. Put my cards on the table, and told her about the feelings I had for her, and if she had feelings for me. Turns out, she was flattered, but didn't. LOL She ended up hooking me up with a friend of hers. Later on, months later, we got together as we always did, and she asked me if I was still interested in anyone. I had gotten over her, and we were still good friends. I said no, I wasn't really interested in anyone. I sometimes wonder if I had missed a clue... LOL anyway] To this day we are still good friends. She did a reading at my wedding, and I sang a song at her wedding. It was good to find out, one way or the other, because after that I could get on with my life. It's as though I was holding out for the possibility of something more between us. It was better to know, in the long run, than to always wonder. Good on you man. Glamour shots just seem so 80's. I wonder how many are FROM the 80's. I suppose if you could get a photographer to take photos of you doing things, etc. etc. Candid shots are nice as well. I can't be bothered. I just take some pics with my celphone. I keep them current, date them. Face shots, and full body shots. No surprises. shrugs

I've been at both ends of the scale. My ex is 9 years older than me, and I've dated women anywhere from her age to 16 years younger than me, and everything in between. Some of us old guys don't do too bad.
