Ubuntu Linux.....Easy -or- Difficult ?
Posted:

Don, I had asked so many times in the forums & spent many hours googling to find a solution & never found anything that didn't break Ubuntu (I became an expert at reinstalling it >_>) ... I might consider reinstalling Ubuntu on a spare Drive.
New question since I want to install it again... How do I get my computer to boot to a screen that I get to select which OS to load up? XPpro will be on my SATA HDD & Ubuntu will be on an IDE HDD.. Thanks :)

I have never been able to get my games to work... SIMS x, & LOTR BFME :(
Thats pretty much why I deleted Ubuntu... I need my games as I have no tv :P
Now I just need to find someone totally cool too hook me up, as I really do miss Ubuntu, but I'm not cool enough to get it fully working LOL

Anyone know if I can trace a stolen laptop via Skype?

Now wouldn't it be nice to have something like logmein installed on the laptop, so you could turn on the webcam & take photos of the thief... ;)

I think they would be good if you we're traveling a lot & don't need it for anything else but basic web stuffs. However thats not me, I'd rather buy an iPhone <-not gonna happen anytime soon.

What do you use for remote IT support?

You have to install it on both sides? Thats not overly cool. The people I deal with wont be able to do that. Maybe I'll just stick with logmein. No installing needed & I've been able to get 70yr olds to grant me access into their PCs. So Team Viewer just lost my vote.

What operating system are you using?

I have XP Pro on my main box.. OS/Box stable
Ubuntu on my PII.. box not stable
1 Might still have Gentoo on it.. was OS stable when I ran it 6yrs ago
& who knows whats on the 8 other HDDs laying around
At work I have Vista >_<
I might be getting an old box from a friend in the next couple of months, & I plan to test Win7 on it. If it fails then it'll be my new Linux/sever box.

Do women mind single dads with kids

I'm they type of person who has no-little drive to have my own kids (doesn't mean I don't want any). So if I meet a nice guy that has a kid or 2 I would be fine with it :)
As for other girls... No idea, I don't understand 99% of them anyways lol

For me, it's too short.
Put your interests in the proper spot, and then go into some detail about them. That'll make your profile a little larger and nicer.

I didn't think my profile was horrid, but I haven't gotten any messages after my first day back to POF (over a month ago)... So if some kind people could take a peek for me & let me know what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate it :)
Thanks

Why do people have to be rude about people being over weight or their looks
Posted:
7/4/2009 2:22:49 PM
I'm no toothpick & never will be, I don't have the frame for it. I am extra chubby right now because I hurt my back in a car accident. I became super lazy as I was always in pain when I moved around. Then winter came, argg... Now that the weather is nicer & I'm no longer is pain, I have lost a good portion of the extra flab lol Now I just need to take pics to update my new less flabbiness LOL

Balding men

To be honest, I personally don't care. Whatever the guy is happy with doing, is good for me. Balding has nothing to do with his personality, so I just don't understand the issue.

I play Alliance, however I haven't played in a few months. I would like to get back into WoW soon & I'm aiming for it in 2 weeks (the cost of moving house is killer on the pocket book).
I also enjoy Sims, Might & Magic, Spore, Diablo (use to run a server), and so many others. As for console games I only have a PS2. I have 3 GTA games but I haven't even been able to play them as my TV died *grumbles & waits for her tv-tuner card to arrive by mail, yawn*. My fav game by far is Guitar Hero & Rock Band, SO much fun!

This is why I prefer to date Geeks. Not only do they understand me better, but I can understand them better too.
Time for me to go back to hunting smexy TO Geeks... which has been one heck of a challenge, as they are good at hiding LOL
