Hey, thanks for letting me know that you could see my new theme! I changed the resolution so, now I got to see it too. I am not thrilled with it just being on the edges. It seems like a lot of points for not getting too much. I also, don't like now that my font and the other stuff on the screen is sooooo small. I know, what a complainer I am. haha

I agree, I just bought the very first one posted on there and all it did was change my background to a salmon color. What is going on with this new feature? It is obviously not working! Do we get our points back??? Help!!!! TG

Hey, I was thrilled to see all you guys had posted. I don't know anything about diamondback, but am open to anything. I was just thinking a place with a lot of things to do, so it won't get boring. So, tell me more about the Diamondback, like where the heck is it?? I totally agree on Stivers, very small. So, let's keep this convo going, does anyone know how we actually post it, so people can start telling us who is coming? Does POF do that, do we? How do we do it? Help. I am still going to check into The Creekside Grill on Jackson Ave in Ann Arbor. They just had something about the Wings and Pistons games, so it seems like it might be more of a bar than I had previously thought. It looks like a nice big place and it is nice for me because I actually live in Chelsea, so the drive is not bad. Plus, there are people on here from Jackson so that would draw them in, I never see activities planned for Jackson or Ann Arbor POFer's. While I think it is nice to draw in people from the Detroit area, they have quite a bit of activities planned there and i usually don't go because it is too far and I don't know the area. So, let's continue to brainstorm on this and thanks for the posts, it did my heart good. haha

Okay, I am willing to work on it if there is an interest. Anyone know of a good bar that would have things to keep us busy, darts, pool, Kareoke (sp?). I will call the one I am thinking of on Jackson Rd. near Zeeb and see if they have some nightlife there, it is a nice big place. I have never started a POF gettogether, so I could use some help from the experts. Please post and help get this party started!!! haha, you can always email me with ideas or interest if you are shy about posting for all to see. Hope to hear from lots of people. Tarzansgirl

Well, I talked to stilllookingforher yesterday. It seems his computer has been down, so he hasn't really been working on the party, like I thought. So, I have some ideas and will make some calls and see what I can find out. It would really help to know how many people are really interested in going, to see how big of a place we need. I will update you when I know more.

Stivers is too small, but ironically, very, very close for me!!! But, thanks for the suggestion. I believe Stilllookingforher is working on securing, The Grotto Club in Ann Arbor.

Yea, I have been to The Habitat in Weber's, it is a nice place, and great if you like to dance, although it has a band, so it all depends on what they play, not a lot of room and not a lot to do besides drink and do a little dancing. But, it is a good suggestion. I just got an email from Stilllookingfor her and he thinks he has a place that would be on the westside of ann arbor on Stadium. I guess it is more like a hall than a bar or restaurant. When I get more details I will pass it along then we will nail down a day and time. Hope more of you are thinking about coming to the A2 pof gathering, the more the merrier. Keep looking at this forum for emerging details.

yea, I kind of figured that DH, just thought I would throw it out there. What about that place just down the street, i have been there for lunch, but I don't know if it is like a bar at night or what. It is on the opposite side of the road, it is very big. Anyone know??

Hey, Moe, glad you got my email and that you are interested in an A2 get-together. I live on the west side of A2 in a suburb of A2, so I would prefer it be this way or closer to me than ypsi, but if ypsi is where it is decided to be best, I will have to go along with it. Let me think this one through, any other fun places to go, how about a place that has pool, darts, is nice and big and not all jammed in, anyone have anything come to mind?? What is that place called that used to be Paul Bunyan's or is close to where Paul Bunyen's used to be on Jackson Ave, near maybe Zeeb road, is it called Westside Grill or something like that? Since I was the one that started this whole thing and I didn't necessarily want to be the one to plan it, i would be more than willing to be your second in command.haha. I was so happy to see that people had finally posted. Anyone love euchre, we could have a euchre get-together at some bar or someone's house if they are willing to host it, or a chili-cookoff, just some things i have rattling around in the old noggin. Hey, or a game night, I love board games, how about all of you?? This would be if we had someone who wanted to have it at their house (sorry, I live in a small apartment) or we could just do the old meet at a restaurant or bar standard thing? How about it, what are you guys up for?? I look forward to your ideas and suggestions. Yea, for an A2 get-together!! Main Site Gone Widescreen Friendly ??? - Post any Problems Suggestions Here Posted: 7/31/2007 9:51:11 PM
Thank you, thank you, thank you POF! I noticed now that you have changed back to the way the layout was before widescreen. I just realized what I didn't like about it,or what it didn't allow me to do that I had done previously. I used to like to set the new members ads so I could see the age on the left of the screen and then be able to check out the picture on the right on the screenname without having to scroll. Made for better viewing. Now that it is back the way it was, I realized that isi why it was bugging me when i was viewing profiles, plus the scrolling from side to side was annoying, so thanks again. Now, my question is, did I miss something and has it already been changed back? I noticed a lot of people talking about the brightness of the site recently, I see no difference except the picture in the first page has changed and thanks for that too, i like the guy and girl pic better than a bunch of women hanging out, plus I was sick of the old pic. Hope someone will fill me again on what all the talk about the screen brightness is all about. haha Thanks again for all of your hard work, I am definately sure it is not easy trying to please everybody. Hi, I have been on POF for about a year and a half and I am usually pretty happy with the set-up. i have gone off and on other dating sites, but have never left POF. My concern/complaint is with the new page layout, I assume that is what is making you have to scroll accross to read the whole profile. I don't like it, it seems to kind of be a pain in the butt. I don't know if that has to do with making the pics. bigger or if you even took that suggestion, but, somehow, the page set-up seems different. Also, since I am commenting. I have noticed I get logged out for no apparant reason when I am just going through the different areas on the site. And yes, I have cleared out my cookies. My other concern, I used to be able to make my webcam work on here, but lately I haven't been able to, any suggestions? Thanks for all the hard work, I appreciate it. As far as dating sites go, this has always been my favorite. Tarzansgirl

I will be tailgating in East Lansing with two of my siblings who also graduated from State or I would have thought of going to this party. 5 of 7 of us siblings are State grads! I will cheer for OSU though when they play UofM! I don't like the Wolverines too much! Everyone have fun at the party!

I will be honest when I am scanning through doing a search I automatically skip by those without pictures. It is just nice to know if you are physically attracted to someone at least at first. I know everyone will say that is shallow, but I think it is just human nature. I will talk to someone without a picture, but I just kind of count them out when I am looking around the site. I don't even think about it anymore, it is just automatic to scroll past those without pics. It is just easier to know whom you are dealing with from the beginning I think.

Okay, I have tried all the ideas listed here and still I cannot get my im to work. It worked on my old computer, but on my new one, no go and it is driving me crazy! I did get it to get a step farther. Now there is a black triangle in the corner and it shows those two plugs trying to connect, but they never connect and no information about the person trying to im me comes up. Somebody please help! Thanks!
