REMINDER TO ALL WHO PLAN TO ATTEND.... Please be sure you have the info you need written down b/c this event info /invite won't be easy to find the day of the event....POF seems to remove the events either the day of or day before.....so write down whatever info you may need. PopBurger on East 58th Street, between 5th & Madison Ave. It's around the corner from the 5th Ave Apple Computer Store. Subway info---nearest subway is the Fifth Ave Stop on the R or W or N train. If you can get to Bloomingdale's or Carnegie Hall, you are within walking distance. If you can get to 5th Ave & 53rd St, you are also within walking distance. Hope this helps. See you all soon! Reva

Amy-you just have to make it! :) And to any person who is thinking about attending, perhaps this would be your first POF event....as you can see from these threads, we are a friendly bunch, and very easy to say hello to and chat with. Our very own...."I Dream of Jeannie"....apparently many men do dream about her....will be here, and she is just like a Master of Ceremonies, unless she's busy with a handsome man having a discussion about medical protocol or something....Jeannie is a smart lady! and fun. Neither one of the co-hosts.....that would be Jeannie or myself....would let someone feel like they were here by themselves....NO ONE SHOULD FEEL 'ALONE' HERE....so if you're 'on the fence' , come on over to this event....and if this one doesn't work out for you, then please remember these words, b/c this is how friendly it is and it is meant to be at the events that Jeannie and I Co-Host....so, if you can't make this one, then be on the watch for other events we organize. AND JEANNIE, MY DEAR CO HOST....I shall scout a cool location, or two, so that if we are all enjoying the chat n chilling, we would have some options of other nearby locations to go to after our event ends at 8pm sharp. Amy-thanks for the kind words! So glad to hear you had a good time. See you all on Wed evening Nov 25th. Please say hello to Jeannie, my Co-Host when you arrive. You can see her lovely photo above in the RSVP photo group. Jeannie has blond hair--see her photo there? My lovely Co-Host will be there at 5pm, and I should be arriving around 6pm, straight from work. Regarding our event-----Remember, just like Cinderella....she had to leave the ball at midnight....well, we have to leave by 8pm.....So, this is a 5pm-8pm event. Happy Hour from 5-7pm. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you!

If we all bring a photo of a pet OR a plant....I don't have a pet now, and I don't even have a plant!! uh-oh! :) Not to worry, perhaps I'll bring a photo of my Tiara from the Halloween POF event we had at PopBurgers....or, I'll bring a photo of a great pair of shoes OR A handbag. Great! Welcome to all of those who've never been to one of the events at the Lounge at PopBurgers. This event is from 5pm -8pm, with a Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm which includes great food and drink deals, as mentioned in the invite. Your 2 Hosts are: imafoodie7 (me) AND jeannieurRX (Jeannie) We look forward to seeing everyone!! For those who may be driving into the city PLEASE read the street signs carefully. There is an indoor lot on West 57th Street, between 5th & 6th Avenues...for something close by. Of course, if you park more on the east side, and walk a bit, you may find less expensive parking. I would recommend public transportation, if possible. REMEMBER, THE ENTRANCE IS TO THE LEFT OF THE RESTAURANT. WE ARE IN THE UPSTAIRS LOUNGE AT POPBURGERS.... NOT, *REPEAT "NOT", IN THE STREET LEVEL RESTAURANT ENTRANCE AREA*.

I can't do this b/c I want my Co-Host's photo to appear on the left margin, in the same area where my photo & profile name are. The last time I did an event it showed up there. Bald Eagle do you know how I can get into that area? I had filled out the area for listing my co host, and that should have made her appear but it did not work that way this time....TIA for any thoughts on this

IN the PAST, there was no problem doing this, but oddly, now, I can't get my Co-Host's lovely photo up in the of the very first comment on the thread. Her photo shows in the area on thread where she has posted, but altho I've made her my co-host, and put her in to have access,etc...(i entered her sign on name in 2 different places, on the same page)... MODERATOR--PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks in advance (TIA)

Great! This should be a nice, fun, get together....easy to talk to new people....and the Lounge is very cool!!! It's really a great, comfy, modern space with lots of room to relax. Take a look for yourself at the PopBurger website... www.popburger.com and click on the E 58th Street location, then view the photos of the lounge, and the lounge menu. The deal they are giving us is very good----the price of the turkey burgers is very good. I love the reg burgers at PopBurgers, and I'm wild for their fries....so, I'm looking forward to trying the TurkeyBurgers! I see that Shane has rsvp'd....great! I may have missed seeing yr photo when i had glanced over/scrutinized, so i thought...the rsvp list. Great! Now, who else is thinking of attending? come on, click on that rsvp button, and you'll meet a friendly bunch of people! And, be able to select from some yummy food items on the menu (at good prices)...you can eat healthy....have a salad....a lobster roll....a steak....burgers....fries.....caesar salad w/chicken....calamari....more, more, more....(Billy Idol song lyrics!) If you don't drink, there is soda at the bar....veggies items on menu....ie portobello mushroom burger....no meat! To Mr or Ms 'still on the fence' about attending.....take a chance, it's Halloween! You must see my tiara, after all ;) If you are shy, and don't think you'd have the nerve to say hello to anyone at the party.....think again!! There are 2 wonderful, happy, friendly ladies who are hosting this event, and either one of us would be happy to introduce you to the person you may be too shy to say hello to....just quietly come over to either one of the HOSTS....and ask us to intro you to that person you've had your eye on....the rest is up to you!! There really are some very nice people who have attended the events that I've organized, and for this event, my co-host Ms Jeannie, is doing a fantastic job in keeping up the momentum....so, between the 2 hostesses.....it should be a fine time. Nice people, good food, easy to relax, and meet a new person....who knows, maybe a new friend, maybe something more....it's nice to make new friends, b/c remember, friends have friends...and you never know ;) you never know where you'll meet someone you'd like to spend more time with, so I hope anyone who's THINKING, and not quite sure if they'd like to attend, with take that leap of faith, and click on that rsvp button, and spend some time on Saturday afternoon in NYC....PopBurgers is a very cool place. It's very comfy, and that makes it easy to be able to simply relax, and say hello to people. See you Saturday! Wait until you see my Tiara!!! woo hoo!

Hi Everyone, Just a reminder---please be sure to click on the RSVP button if you want to attend. And, if at a later time, you know that you won't be attending, please kindly remove yourself from the RSVP list. Costumes are optional....And my c0-host and I are not calling it a 'costume party' per se, but a Halloween POF Event. And if you'd like to wear a Tiara or Creative Hat, that would be fun and fine. And if you'd like to wear a costume, that's fine too. A reminder: We have a great space, and we may not be the only ones in the space---the public is able to come up to the lounge. Any attire or costume should be presentable, for example--no bathing suits or pasties. I don't think most of you needed that reminder. It should be a pleasant and A FUN TIME!!

oh....what if you came in before you went to the airport to pick them up, and had soda and a snack w/us, and then went to the airport to pick them up? You might find parking more over on the East side....and walk over to POPBURGERs.....well, Amy, you know what is best....sorry you won't be there. I am working on some other ideas for get togethers.....so, hopefully you will come to another one soon. I really like POPBURGERS. In addition to Saturday afternoon at POPBURGERS, I'm looking into doing a Sunday afternoon at another HotSpot, so stay tuned! it's a work in progress :) We can see how people like that, once i can put it together....Enjoy the wkend (of aug 29th) with your guests....

Great everybody!! It really should be a nice event...like the last one! PLEASE REMEMBER TO RSVP ON THE INVITE, SO THAT YOUR PHOTO WILL SHOW, AND PEOPLE WILL KNOW YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND. THIS ALSO HELPS ME TO GIVE THE POPBURGER LOUNGE FOLKS AN IDEA OF HOW MANY PEOPLE WE THINK WILL BE THERE. Thank you for all the nice EVENT COMMENTS! Amy--I remember meeting you---I'm bummed that you won't be there, too! Maybe your out of town guests can hang out at the Apple Store for 2 or 3 hours and you can come spend some time around the corner with us at the Lounge at POPBURGER! LOL Maybe they can go to a movie? Stroll on 5th Ave? a nearby Museum....they could enjoy a nearby museum for 2 hrs, and you could hang with all of us! :) there's MOMA; Museum of Art & Design near Columbus Circle...there are the Shoppes at Columbus Circle--that's a high end GORGEOUS mall....lots to see and do there, including a great bookstore, and Samsung, Williams Sonoma, lots of shops, Godiva chocolatte, A cigar store....Amy, maybe this can work out!

People were meeting new people, laughing, chatting, smiling--having an easy, relaxed time, in a very cool place! The food is very good, and so is the drink selection, from shakes, and sodas to Flirtinis, cocktails, beers, and wines. The food, drinks, music, air conditioning, and people were great! The staff was wonderful and attentive!! The music was great, and people were able to talk to each other!! I hope you can make it!! I can tell you that 2 days after the event, I had to go to POPBURGER for lunch, to satisfy my intense craving for their burgers and fries!!!! In the ground floor restaurant, 2 burgers are $7, fries just under $4....(I PAID AND) I LOVED IT!!! The lounge prices will be a little bit more than that, but the food is good!!! At the early August event, I believe I paid about $3 for my ginger ale soda upstairs at the Lounge! I'll probably order food and make it my dinner! The Lounge has very cool, low to ground tables and comfy seating....you can see photos of the lounge at the POPBURGER WEB SITE, SO TAKE A LOOK. When you order at the lounge, there are 3 burgers to an order. They are about 2-3" in diameter, and de-lish!!! LOOK AT THE MENUES ON THE POPBURGER WEB SITE. BRING YOUR FAVORITE COLORED MARKER, AND BE CREATIVE--we will have a "DRAW YOUR FISH" CONTEST....draw it at home, or draw it at the Lounge. I'll bring a few colored "Sharpies" marking pens, folks can borrow, to color their fish at the POF DRAWING TABLE , from 4:30 - 5:30pm. I will have paper, too. There will be ONE free, fun, small prize for the best Fish drawing! AND, AS IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH....WE WILL HAVE A 'FUNNIEST DATING EXPERIENCE' CONTEST....Most people have at least one funny dating experience story...Without mentioning any names, we can all have a few laughs over our past dating experiences! (no prize for this contest :) For those who feel like sharing their funniest moments, we'll be able to gather at the back room area of the lounge, in comfy seating and share a few laughs!
