This is why you shouldn't be snooping around or really concerned with the sexual past of who you are dating. All it does is cause issues that have no reason to be there. You can't change peoples past so guess what as long as it doesn't cause you any type of harm why should you care? And when I say harm I mean something legit, and what this thread about does not fall into the legit category.

Sounds friend zoned to me......but just remember it could be worse. Sometimes women will do that then call and complain to you about the guy they do date, it's enough to make you want to smash your head into a wall. That would be like submitting a resume for a job, being told they liked you and you were qualified but they'd hire someone else...then they would call you to complain about the person they hired instead.

I don't have kids and my simple thought is this, as long as your children are not so terribly misbehaved that they act like little heathens it's not a problem. If they have really really poorly behaved kids that may actually tell me a little something about them since kids are generally a product of their environment.

No problem, I actually forgot 1 part of all this. The other thing that really happens when the guy isn't perception and can't read the situation. Is they think of the women that want men to be aggressive and if you aren't they consider you "friend material" or "to nice". So in the end of the guy isn't very perceptive he will just go with what he knows and that is to be aggressive show sexual interest and avoid being thought of as just a friend.

I'll give you my quick theory on this, speaking from a male perspective and what I've seen and why this happens. Guys do this because alot of women will dismiss as you "just a friend" or put in in the "friend zone" if you don't show interest like that right away. Which then leads to this problem of doing it when it isn't appropriate or wanted. Alot of people are well not very perceptive especially guys, and even more so the ones you're describe who can't even pay attention. So they're just playing by the things they've learned or been told by female friends. So they're basically going by this manual that generally works instead of reading the situation. More than anything a man fears the friend zone, I speak from experience on this so when they aren't quick enough to pick up on things they just play by this general rule to avoid it.

Well, in my experience, with most (not all) of the men I have encountered on here FWB means just SEX-not even meeting first to get to know each other for coffee or anything....they just wanna meet and straight away get it on. Now, call me old-fashioned, but I like to at least talk to the guy and get to know him a little bit before just jumping into bed--even if it is just for sex. It's like FWB is missing the "FRIENDS" part...and most men I have met cannot differentiate between a **** buddy and a friend with benefits. Now in response to this I'd feel pretty weird having sex with someone I didn't really know. I'd like to atleast know the woman to an extent before it goes to that level.

She's from a small town, being from the midwest myself I can see why in a small town she's a bit cautious about what she's putting in her profile. People in small towns aren't as accepting as we might just expect people to be. Like I personally didn't see any big issues with anything she posted but can see how if people in a little town found out about that it could negatively affect her life and her job.
