What's up with young guys coming on to older women?
Posted: 5/19/2006 6:15:29 AM
Oh my gosh i knew i was gonna have to reply to this post being a 36 yr old who is dating a 23 soon to be 24 yr old...i had a problem in the beginning with the age thing...i used to say stupid things like "why do you have to be 22?" his response was "why do you have to be 34?" so that stopped me dead in my tracks...yea we have been dating for almost two years now...we both like to pretend it is just casual...but it is not he is very mature for his age but there are times when his age shows and i am not mad or disappointed in any of these times...they make him who he is...i dont know if it will go anywhere, neither one of us do, but we are special to eachother even if we dont label it as a relationship...yea yea i could go on and on about us...but i will just bore you with one other thing and that is when he busted out singing the theme song from "Urban Cowboy" I knew i was in love with his soul...it isnt meant for us to live happily ever after but we will always be special to eachother...

Now to what outandabout quoted from Andy Rooney...that is the best and oh so true but you dont have to be over 40 cause i dont whine about the sports thing i learned to enjoy the games and if i dont i go and do something else...and yes it is more interesting to me...and the red lipstick looks good on me now...

Younger guys tell me they like older women cause we are established and dont play the games that the younger ones do and we arent about what can you do for me?? We are about what are you gonna do to make sure you just carry your half of the load...I have never dated anyone that is more than 4 yrs older than me...i am not sure why i have not been attracted to them...

so that is my story and i am sticking to it...and my $0.02

Pictures on profiles
Posted: 5/19/2006 5:35:07 AM
I just had to reply to this cause I feel you on that, and it is not just here it is everywhere on the internet...it is not everyone, but 80% of the people that i have seen pictures of and then saw them in person...it was like woah!! you dont look the same as your pictures...some people would say like right after oh yeah that picture was taken couple years ago...and that is why i went ahead and posted a full body shot, now mind you i was on my way out clubbin, but i also posted a picture of me with no make up, one with my glasses on, i think i even have one where i have a towel on my head...the only thing i am real sure of is to make sure that everyone is aware that i consider myself to have "a few extra pounds" and that is the only thing that really worries me cause i dont want to misrepresent myself...cause looking at my face pictures you cant tell...which is why i put the full body shot...now i aint gonna put one up of me in a bathing suit...if you like me great if you dont that is great too...that is what we are here for to find people we like...

Younger guys - no more!
Posted: 2/23/2006 12:55:26 AM
I have been dating a younger guy for over a year now...and i must say that if there is one thing that he has taught me it is that i can not depend on him when i really really think i need him, but i have to believe that if there ever came a time when his help was really really needed he would not let me down...but i think that is just wishful thinking...

he is very mature for his age, but there are moments that he "acts" his age...and i am thrown back into reality...i have tried unsuccessfully to date guys my age or just a little younger than what I am...but right now at this moment i am hopelessly in love with this guy...he does not admit to anything but his feelings for me scare him...well i guess he has admitted to that...once or twice where he actually let me here him...

the chemistry was crazy from the begining on both of our parts....and while my frustration has caused problems mostly for me...it is still just as strong today as it was a year and half ago...and i think that scares him the most...but i dont know i am just confused...
