Men who ride Harleys

Well Mr. Tater Salad,
I wish all Harley riders were like you. You seem like a cool dude. Unfortunately, you're a rare one. Almost all the Harley riders and the wannabes that I know, and I know quite a few extremely well, are a pitiful bunch. No matter how many times you point out that in comparison road tests with other bikes in the same class, almost all Harley models are lucky to finish somewhere in the middle, you just can't convince them that it's ok for people to ride other brands. My bike looks like a Harley Softail Custom, but it's only a Yamaha 650. When I go riding with these guys, I'm the one that's constantly having to wait on them to catch up. Now on city streets they can leave me sitting, but in the twisty mountain roads that are so common here, I'm always waiting on them. I am also able to ride farther than they can and have no problem riding in weather that they balk at. I've got 30,000 more miles on my bike than any two of them put together and I've got the newest bike. They're morons! If you could, why don't you rub some of your tolerance and intelligence off on some of your Harley brothers?

Get rid of the dark picture. You can't see you at all. Your second picture of you by the tree is your best picture. It's beautiful. Keep the sarcasm. I happen to love sarcasm.

Ever Wonder Why Single Men Do Not like Single mothers?
Posted:
5/11/2008 1:07:42 PM
I've been reluctant to date a woman with kids for this reason, fear. You see, I've had step-children that I loved like my own. Thank God I still get to see them occasionally, but there is one little girl out there that I miss all day every day. I dated her mother for a few years and we almost got married. The relationship went sour but we remained friends and I was able to spend quite a lot of time with the little girl who I loved so much that I not only treated her as my own, but my life revolved around her. My own two kids thought of her as their little sister and they loved her as much as I did. There's not an adult on earth that could make me laugh or make me look as stupid as this little girl could. Then her mother met someone and they all moved several states away. I knew I'd never see her again. My kids and I were devastated. I know I cried for two months solid. Women come and go, but someone as precious as this child was, is a one time deal. Since then I've kept my distance from women with small children because I'm simply afraid of getting attached to them and then have the relationship go bad. I'm slowly getting past that, but I'm not there yet.
What I'm saying is, that it's not all men that just don't want to put any effort into, or be bothered by someone else's kids because they have better things to do. Sometimes we're afraid of getting ripped apart.

Who cares what your body type is? Look at those eyes! I don't think you should have any trouble finding a good guy. Profile is fine to me.

Okay I have revised my profile

I think it's a very good profile. You seem to have a great personality. The only thing I'd add is some candid photos of you. I don't know about most guys, but I'd much rather see candid photos than studio photos. I don't know if they're popular in the UK, but here "glamour shots" are very popular for some reason. I think they're horrible. They rarely ever look like the real person and the cosmetics remind me of horror movies. There will be a written test on this so let's review.
Candid: GOOD
Glamour: HORRIBLE
It will be a two part quiz lol.
Good luck!

Assuming that you weren't being totally obnoxious or anything like that, the guy sounds like a total ass to me. No matter if I was into the date or not, I always finished the dinner with them and gave them all of my attention until the night was finished.

Favorite Shirts with Words

I have a pretty good collection of these shirts. They read:
"It's hard to show I care, SINCE I DON'T!"
"Before I started working here, I drank, smoked, and used foul language for no reason at all. Thanks to this job, I now have a reason." (I wear this one to meetings at work lol)
"Only a real loser would stand there and take the time to read the message on someone else's stupid t-shirt."
(written like an eye exam chart. letters get smaller as they go down)
U
ARE
REALLY
ANNOYING
"I don't discriminate. I hate EVERYONE!"
"NEED THE WEED?" (for Tumbleweed's restaurants)
"Silence is golden, duct tape is silver" (smiley face with mouth covered in duct tape)

Funny Bumber Stickers I've Seen

Not exactly bumper stickers, but my motorcycle helmet has these stickers on it:
"I'm one of those bad things that happen to people."
"I'm not afraid of going fast. It's the crashing and burning that sucks."
"Stress is when you wake up screaming and realize you haven't fallen asleep yet."

Divorce question
Posted:
4/5/2008 11:15:28 PM
It's not always what we allow to happen, sometimes it's just the hand we are given. My story is a bit differnt I suppose. Surely I'm not the only one this has happened to though. When my ex and I divorced, she was given custody and I paid child support. We're both from a very rural area so the courts are still very favorable to the women. Now, I've never had a problem paying child support but what I have had a problem with is that as my kids got older, they realized that their mom's lifestyle wasn't right. She had moved them out of state and they eventually came back to live with me. For a little while I no longer had to pay child support while a change in custody paperwork was being filed. This is where it gets bad for me. My ex will get addresses in different states and fill out applications for different programs such as welfare, TennCare, disability, etc.. Every time she does this, she tells the agencies that she's raising two kids without support. She uses differerent last names and once claimed to me that she had two different social security numbers. Every single time it put the custody paperwork into a different mode (standstill) and I'd have to show why I wasn't paying child support. It happened so many times and so often that I couldn't keep up with all the states and agencies hasseling me. I ended up getting my wages garnished for child support, raising my kids, and sinking financially. When I would tell the agencies what was going on, they said they'd check into it. Nothing has changed any despite my raising hell with all of them. She has an apartment in one state that she never uses (she actually lives in another state) and it's sole purpose is to gain more state (taxpayer)sponsered income.
I've just learned to bend over and take it like a man, make sure my kids grow up to be respectable people, and that state agencies just don't do their homework.

Anna Faris from the Scary Movie series and Just friends because she's just hilarious.
I'd guess my personality is most like Conan O'Brien with Kevin James's looks lol.

Why are so many middle-age men in the online-dating-world into motorcycles?
Posted:

For most riders, motorcycling is a social event. A different way to meet new people. Some say that they ride for the freedom and I'm sure on occasion they do, but for the most part, the riding they do is with other bikers or going to meet other bikers. Then there is the whole ego thing. Some of my best friends ride Harleys and crotch rockets. Ego is their middle name when it comes to cycling.
Then there are those of us that do not treat motorcycling as a social event, an attempt to look cool, or as trying to regain our youth. I don't ride to go see other people, I ride to get away from them. It's given me the chance to see places I would have not gotten the chance to see otherwise. I will on a rare occasion go on a group ride with my co-workers, but they're basically a part of my family. I don't ride with anyone else. Most of my riding has been all alone. I just go and end up wherever I end up as long as I get back in time to start a new week of work. Once I set out for West Virginia to do some research, but ended up in Canada just because I didn't feel like stopping. Besides, my beloved Jeep only gets around 15 mpg. I save it for winter driving. My bike gets almost 50 mpg. It's my main mode of transportation during warm months.
So please, don't always assume bikers are using thier bikes to attract attention. For some of us it's just the world's best therapy.

can someone check out my profile

The only suggestion I'd have is that you should write more about what your passions are. What makes you happy or sad? What other hobbies or interests do you have? Make sure you go back and read everything you're wanting to post to make sure everything is spelled correctly and conveys what you'd really like to say. Good luck!
