Yeah the lack of cd/dvd drive would be pretty annoying to me to say the least for the myriad of obvious reasons...

Hehe I don't have the setup at my place yet mainly because I am too lazy but often when I go to a friends we will sit there playing the old nes and megadrive games on the PC's as he has the emulators working etc :)
I did find a great old game (Castle Quest) a while ago which was on the BBC computer all those years ago :) Took me longer to get the emulator set up and working than it did to complete the game but damn it was fun :)

I am just a smidge short of 6'5 and about 240lbs (ish) so I would think that qualifies me as big and tall :)

Well you are being pretty good to him to give him a second chance. Alot of ladies I know would not give a guy a second chance under those circumstances.
I am not sure I like the connotation of blaming the fact you got the idea that you didnt like him being down to internet dating though. I know that if/when I find someone on here I like and we get to the point of meeting up, they will be very certain that I like them.
I don't know how long you have both been talking but maybe a few more conversations before you meet might be in order as there obviously seems some wires crossed somewhere along the line regardless of 'intuition via the internet'.

Drugs?!

[quote[the FDA has not approved pot as a medicinal drug.
Too many adults trying to rationalize an illegal activity.
If it were to be used as a medicine, it wouldnt be smoked. That is damaging to the lungs. It would be converted to a liquid. What will you argument be about that?
A couple of interesting points...
I am aware the FDA has not licensed pot as a medicinal drug. Yet in the same country that the FDA resides in there are 13 states with legalised medical marajuana, 3 states with sanctioned dispensaries where people with prescriptions are able to obtain said pot. There is also 7 more states who are currently considering bills in this vein and another state considering a petition...
While this isnt a point thats pertinant to most people on the site, there are countries/places where pot is 100% legal. Are those people considered scum and beneath dating anyone because they partake in a perfectly legal activity?
As for pot being smoked I 100% agree with you. It has been proved that smoking pot and the pill form has the lowest chance of 'working as intended' but given the lack of any suitable alternatives...
I would also be interested to hear from some more English people as I believe the attitude towards this particular drug is very different in general this side of the pond and we my have some less extremist/different views on the subject

Thanks for the comments... The picture title was actually a joke about moving out as I have the same pic on my FB and quite a few jokes were made about 'the carpet that came from a whore house' lol I have removed that pic title and updated my main title to something which may be more fitting :)
As far as work goes I do not actually work for a couple of reasons (which I would hope I don't need to go into in detail about on my profile).
I really don't want to lie because that defeats the whole purpose of a profile, given the choice between lying or giving up on the site I will certainly opt for the latter.
Anyway... thanks again and please wish me luck as it appears I am going to need it :(

Ive have heard of people who are really sick, cancer, using pot, but honestly I know of no situation where that has been the case. Most cancer victims, in that much pain, go for the morphine.
People use pot for a far wider range of complaints than just Cancer. Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis are 2 that spring off the top of my head and certain US states have legalised the use of 'medical marajuana' for those who are able to get a prescription.
Morphine, while its great at suppressing pain, is not a long term solution if its at all avoidable. Morphine (which is only 2 very small steps away from heroin) itself is incredibly addictive and with prolonged use can cause alot of issues.
I used to be given morphine myself as the prescription painkillers weaker than that do not reliably work for me but as the time period I am needing pain relief for has far far exceeded what most doctors are comfortable with prescribing morphine for I have needed an alternative method of helping with the pain.

Ok just given my profile a rework in the hope it may ignite some interest with someone and lead to one of those 'conversations' I keep hearing happen on here :)
Please feel free to point, laugh and jeer in my general direction but some contructive advice would probably help more :)
Thanks alot in advance :)

So, what are you implying? That people who have "No" selected on rather if they do drugs, or not are not being honest? Please correct me if this is incorrect.
Trying to make sense of what you are saying there...
I am sure the vast majority of people (like yourself) are honest on their profiles. I am more curious about the people that do take drugs but for whatever reason have chosen to hide the fact.
For instance I was wondering if people sometimes select 'No' because of the ambiguity of the word 'drugs' when there is so many vareities with massively different social stigmas for each type.

Hmmm maybe asking people who wont admit to taking drugs why they wont admit to taking drugs is a touch retarded lol

Drugs?!

Hi everyone :)
I am making my first real foray into the forums here so feel free to go easy on me if this has (and it probably has been) been discussed before...
Something I have noticed is that, in the peoples profiles I have seen, nobody admits to taking drugs, wether it be socially or more regularly. While I am sure there are plenty of people who are as good as their word I am equally certain that there is a number of people who choose not to admit the fact.
The question is why?
I freely admit that I smoke marajuana on a regular basis. While I enjoy smoking it for pleasurable purposes, I also smoke it for pain control/relief. For the record I have never taken any other illegal drug (other than magic mushrooms once when I was 14 and 'poppers' a couple of times when I was 18/19).
Marajuana is generally considered to be the most common illegal drug and certainly in England (where most of the people whose profile I have seen live) there isn't the huge stigma about it compared to most other illegal drugs.
Surely if you know you like a joint now and then (or more regularly) or if you take pills when you go out raving on the weekend you would want to meet someone who is like-minded about it all rather than pushing it under the carpet ready for it to come and bite you in the ass later on...?

Call me pessimistic or whatever but I think the true shame of it all is that its unlikely the human race will last long enough for the landing to be one of the true defining moments in our history...
Just for the record... Hell yeah I would go in a flash!
