why does a guy stop calling?
Posted:
7/12/2009 1:40:28 PM
" I met this guy on this site...we hit off, talked everyday and night. We then met up for coffee for the first time, seemed like things were great. We shared a good night kiss and then I coincidently ended up at the same club as him saturday night...random I know. We spent the whole night hanging out and dancing. Then after he asked me to come over but i told him i couldn't i was staying at my friends house for the night. Since that time no phone calls, texted me all day yesterday but didn't call once. I just dont get it honestly...
I just don't know if hes playing hard to get, maybe he wants me to chase after him? I thought that was a woman's place.
A male perspective would be much appreciated here. "
I can't speak specifically , but from my own experiences, I am turned off instantly by smothering. There was one woman I started to call, just to get to know her a little, then she starts calling me all the time, like we are an item, when we were still basically strangers. Gave me the heebie jeebies. Incidently I was in BC, very pretty area.

Longlocks 40, While I agree with your post, you sound like you have a skewed image of what a relationship should be. Sounds like a relationship with you would be pure bliss...... $%$#$$%%^%^$ Sorry just threw up a little in my mouth..

Are women who don't need men likely to ever find one and be happy?

Oblivion brings out a good point. Need or want. I've been divorced for 9 years, over that time I've started to enjoy my independance, maybe I'm a recluse, but I gotta say I like the absence of drama. If I want to do something, I don't have to listen to any comments or unspoken little looks. I realize I don't "need" a relationship, sometimes I want that relationship, but not so sure if I ever could give myself that completely again. You know the old saying "Be careful what you wish for, you may get it". But on the other hand, if she's super rich, blond, and wants to shower me with gifts like new Harleys, new trucks, etc...... I could maybe be bought. I'm kidding.... sheesh people. Just trying to lighten the moment, getting to serious. I think alot of people NEED a relationship, they cannot be whole on their own, which is a sign of emotional immaturity. Nuff said.... Peace out yo.

What's your most embarrassing moment?

For my work, dressed in nice shirt, tie, dress slacks, had to get into this small tight area to check on cable routing, I kneel straight down in a very tight space and the back of my pants split in two. All of a sudden it felt very drafty. I had to nonchalantly back out of the room while holding my pants together, while trying to appear as a professional.

Ok guys and girls, How important are financial matters to you. If this guy/girl that you are going out with and things are clicking really good, you definitely see a future there except maybe they've gone through a very rough time financially. Would this bother you? What would be your response to that?

Excessive marriages??
Posted:

You are wanting a long term relationship and you meet that special someone. Would it matter to you if he/she was married 2,3 or4 times before? Do you feel that their high number of marriages would indicate a problem that would be a red flag for you or is it not a big concern? I guess I'm wondering, when problems start in the relationship, would you start wondering if they may have predisposed tracks to a way out?

Yes. I'd have to say that she displays her bipolar condition and other mental illnesses very well.

I don't think I would feel intimidated by your intelligence. I think what would matter to me is do we click personality wise.

did you ever meet this type of person?

I don't understand it either. Men and women who have to stretch truth on here. I can say that I don't lie on these forums. I know who I am and what I have to offer. I don't feel that I have to lie to impress someone. If a lady can't like me for who I am, then I'll keep moving on. I'll tell you up front, I have 2 things on my profile that are a little off and the reason is is because I'm leary about putting my personal info out on the internet. I'm talking very small things.

Can Anyone Relate to Dating a Woman who is Bi-Polar?
Posted:
7/4/2009 9:10:22 PM
I was married to a woman with bipolar. I don't know that I can blame bipolar alone for her and her escapades, affairs, the 7 visits to a mental hospital, etc. But the one thing that was and is consistent with her is CHANGE. What she loves this week, she hates next week. Either bouncing off the walls going to change the world or trying to shoot herself or overdose on pills, then have her stomach pumped. I will never go there again. It was a living hell that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Thank God I'm divorced.

Is it Creepy to watch/be watched while someone sleeps?

I remember when my kids were still little. It'd be early saturday morning, sound asleep, starting waking up, open my eyes to see one of my kids about 2 inches away from my face, staring at me. It was kinda creepy. Kids......

guns at home
Posted:
7/4/2009 8:33:26 PM
As many others have said, fear is caused by a lack of knowledge. I have taught my kids about firearms over and over again. Occasionally with my youngest (14) I will have my 9 mm, take it to look at it in a very careful way, with the magazine out, then I'll hand it to my son to test him I'll say " it's ok, it's not loaded". Every time he will open up the chamber himself to verify that it's unloaded. Just as I've taught him. NEVER ASSUME a gun is empty. As most of you know firearm accidents happen by stupidly ignoring safety rules 99% of the time. It's easy for people to say citizens don't need to have guns. There's a saying "when seconds count the cops are only minutes away". All it took for me was a .45 at my throat during an armed robbery to open my eyes. When it comes to you, your spouse, maybe your cute little kiddies, the only person you can trust to protect you...... is you.

CIVILIAN INMATE LABOR CAMPS
Posted:
7/4/2009 8:10:45 PM
Until about a year ago, I was like the rest of the sheep, assuming that if something important happened that I need to know about then I could trust our local newsstation to make sure I was informed. My eyes are being opened. I'm realizing that the media shows you what they want you to see and totally ignore the rest. There are alot of bills trying to be passed that you hear nothing about in the news. Gun control, civilian labor camps, people getting put on black lists for having certain bumper stickers. If government wants to do something, no matter how outrageous it is, they will do it and then spin it and you'll see the revised version on channel 4 showing regular Joe as a militant or terrorist , when he did nothing wrong. They can do anything they want. They have the power and we are just the little guy.I'm not a conspiracy nut, never have been, I've been following what's going on in congress and senate, I've been writing our governor and senators. Now is the time to force our eyes closed to the 4 hours a day of brainwashing from the tv set and do some honest information gathering.
