Funniest thing ever happened to you during sex?
Posted:
9/28/2009 12:46:35 PM
I'm driving home from a party one night and my gf goes down on me, strips herself completely naked, takes my pants and undies off, and straddles me while I'm driving! I couldn't see a thing and had to forcibly remove her to the passenger side. So I do the proper thing, fiound the nearest exit and proceed to do the horizontal bop on the hood of her car, all the while getting eaten by mosquitoes, the state bird of Florida.
Final note: She raided my friends medicine cabinet and was so wasted she didn't remember any of this. She called me the next day to ask why she was covered head to toe with bug bites!
Final final note: That was our last date.

What is a "gumbo crab"? A small soft shell that doesn't have enough meat to bother with is the only kind of non gumbo crab I can think of.

keeping slim for the Autum/Winter - figure friendly recipies - weight loss foods - thin cooking

What works for me is not any certain recipes but a change in the pantry. Get rid of the butter and stock extra virgin olive oil. Stay off the crystal, sugar crystals that is. Another one is to eat smaller portions of meat so that you have less fat. Just being aware of these things has helped me keep my girlish figure.

I find tall women sexy. I don't know why and I can't help it. Do I find shorter women repugnant? Never! It's that book cover thing, all the jackets are different, appealing to different demographics. I need to read the inside flap of the cover to help me decide if I want the book.

School Snacks for 22 kids, help!
Posted:

Try several varieties of in season fruit, cut them up and baggie them, say...22 bags, this gives ownership. Cut the fruit or it will not get eaten. In season means cheaper. Find a few loaves on sale, not the sliced bread in packages. Slice and pass them out, better if you have a cookie cutter in the shape of a smiley face or such. Don't forget the moist towelettes to remove fruit juice from the kidlets.

Who here loves cruises
Posted:
9/13/2009 3:32:07 PM
I'll never go on a cruise for 2 reasons. I did my time in the Navy and when the ship goes out for 6 months at a time it's called a cruise. I know it's not exactly the same thing but it still has memories that make it a negative thing for me.
The second reason is that I choose live. Most cruise lines are flagged in someplace like Nigeria where it is much cheaper to pass the safety inspections. I think all you need there is a wet compass and a manual bilge pump to pass. Flag a ship in the US and I may consider it safe. The other problem is crew training. I have read many stories where in an emergency the crew was not helpful, made the situation worse, and even abandoned ship leaving the passengers to deal with the problem.
I'm not actually scared of boats, I live on mine. I read and train weekly, and carry more than the minimum amount of required safety gear.

Veggies on the grill
Posted:
8/25/2009 3:00:24 PM
If I have the grill fired up it's rare that I'll also be in the kitchen making something there also. I'm just not that coordinated and I refuse to spit out the gum. So I'm asking what do you grill along with the main dish. Here is one of mine:
Get 2 zucchini and 2 yellow squash , wash and dry them. Slice lengthwise at 1/4 inch thick, I like to use the mandolin for consistency. Coat with oil in a bowl, salt and pepper them. Toss them on a medium hot grill, we want grill marks. They are done before they go limp, if you over cook them, all is not lost, puree and serve on baked (on the grill) potatoes. enjoy
Give me some fresh ideas please.

Firstly, If you like your hair the way it is, don't cut it, sorry poster but he is what he is.
"As with a lot of people I’ve found this section really difficult to do for some reason!" - this is meaningless, or gives the message that you have trouble with either words or disclosing what you are about.
"and never give up on something if I’ve decided to see it through to the end." - get rid of this. Of course you will see it through if you don't give it up.
"although I am tempted with doing a Masters as I really enjoyed my degree."- I don't understand what you are saying
"Although I haven’t been for a few years (degree got in the way a wee bit!) "- I don't understand what you are saying
"I’ve recently taken up Muay Thai which, although really intensive, is a great workout." - in one or two sentences, discribe what Thai which is
"unlike some people on here who seem to think its acceptable to ignore people!" - omit this, bad conotation
With your credentials I assume that you are a smart guy, read and reread what you are posting. Take the time, and good luck

Styles of Beauty

After reading your post and before I looked at your profile, OP, you ARE Helen of Troy gorgeous. It's the whole package that we see whether we like it or not. My last gf was in all honesty, ugly in the face when I first met her but she is in the top 3 of the most beautiful people I have known and I'm a better man for having known her. Sadly she died of cancer.
What makes me beautiful? my manipulation of the English language I think. I see things a little different than most and am able say concisely what I wish to convey. Plus I'm just darn pretty.

What do you think? Is this Selfishness or Not Settling?
Posted:
8/8/2009 4:54:07 PM
Have you ever bought, say, a new blue VW bug and then notice new blue bugs all over the place? Perhaps you didn't notice all of the people who require others to take care of them until you noticed that is what you were doing with your husband. I have no idea if this is true for you, just posing a thought.
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. Don't settle.

Grilled peaches
Posted:
8/8/2009 3:27:08 PM
While grilling the main dish put a couple of jalapenos on the grill. Roast them until there are bubbles under the skin on all sides. When cool, peal the peppers, de-sead them as most can't deal with that much heat. Mince this up.
When it's time for desert, cut 2 peaches in half, remove the pit, place cut side down on the oiled grill. Cook 'till tender. To serve, cut side up and place minced jalapeno in the pit cavity. People will soon learn how much pepper to use with each bite.
The contrast of the sweet and hot is wonderful.

10 hour sandwich
Posted:
8/8/2009 3:18:43 PM
Just like it says, it takes 10 hours to make this sandwich. Amounts omitted, ingredients are listed by largest amount first.
rub - make enough to coat well, you can use the extra after cooking
brown sugar
onion powder
garlic powder
cyan pepper
pork shoulder - rub the meat the day before, get the grill to about 220 f and slow cook 'till internal temp is about 180 f. I check coals and grill temp every half hour. Let cool and pull, yup, it's pulled pork. Add the rest of the rub and your favorite BBQ sauce, now dump in some vinegar, yes vinegar, it gives a wonderful bite. I use a quarter cup for an 8 lb cut of meat. Add water or oil to moisten but I use fine chopped saute onions.
Toast the buns and call some friends, tell them to bring the beer.
enjoy

Unethical foods?

Situations can change ethics, the Donner party knows this well.
But about boiling crabs/lobsters live, it's done for health reasons. The moment a crab dies there is bacteria that starts munching away and multiplying. It's toxic to humans.
Unfortunately my ethics have changed due to my current situation and the bottom line is that cost is a major consideration to what I eat. Fruits from South America are welcome.

why do people lie all their lifes and hurt others so much
Posted:
8/8/2009 2:53:06 PM
I only saw 1 effort to actually answer your question, sorry it was wrong.
Ego is the answer. People lie like that to look better in your eyes and in their own. It makes them feel better to know you have a higher opinion of themselves.
The answer is easy, the solution, not so much. I've been working on taming my ego for years. I believe that I've made some progress, but I also believe that it is a journey and not a destination.

My mother always had thin hair so I don't think it would bother me because I've seen it so much. Besides, I've got a little solar panel on the back of my head too. And wrinkles are on my hands. And then there's that gravity thing, gravity, it's the law, you must obey it! I'm not getting old but this body is certainly aging.

I agree about the smoked turkey. The smoke flavor just goes great, but here is the cheapest one yet, liquid smoke. It's never acceptable to run out of this stuff for me.
Caution: new users, it takes a tiny amount of this stuff, too much is terrible tasting.

I disagree with the job thing. What if someone is between? No big deal. Personally I'm collecting a retirement check and work out of my place a bit for extra income.
Also some of your rules can be lumped together by simply stating: Be nice.
And I don't understand your skanks thing, seems rude, some of us just ain't pretty.

Definitely WAY better than average in organization and composition. You're a keeper. The fact is that you, like the rest of us, will get a high number of looks and a low number of contacts, that's just how it happens here. For example I read the forums and when I find something particularly insightful I will have a look at the person's profile to learn where they are comming from. I know I'm a freak.

Perfect split pea
Posted:
7/30/2009 11:59:14 AM
Simple:
Finely chop a small onion and saute it in the same pot you will make the soup in.
When the onion is about finished, (do not caramelize, just sweat) add 2 chopped garlic cloves.
2 minutes later add the water and split peas.
I just use a potato masher instead of a blender to smooth it out.
The taste is split pea with a hint of sweet garlic. I like it.

Posted:

I'm actually one of those people who dislikes chatting on the phone, just one of my many quirks. However, I don't mind at all calling to see If I can pick something up for someone if I'm in an out of the way place that has something to offer. What I'm saying is that I do make calls, short ones, all the time. My comfort level is about 5 minutes. My brother still does not understand this. lol

Why dont people learn to meet their own needs
Posted:
7/26/2009 8:46:21 AM
Congratulations OP, you have learned at an early age that being happy has little to do with anyone but yourself. Being unhappy will not be fixed by going into a relationship. So there's your answer. You know what a lot of other people don't know. Some know but don't know how to obtain it on their own and are unable to ask for help for some reason. I figured it out right after my divorce.

I'm a few generation away from you but this may help. How about a full body shot in a long dress with a medium cut neck line. You don't have to show skin to be sexy. You only get messages with slutty pics is because there is nothing about what you are looking for. The slutty pics actually do say what your looking for. Have fun and be creative with your profile, you won't be able to read all the messages you get.

A new update and revision for the profile.
Posted:
7/26/2009 8:26:57 AM
Make getting a new photo as big a priority as meeting someone special so you can get rid of that paragraph about it. Today, put a caption on the picture like "recent photo but I shave my head now".
Loose the part about seeing why I should not have been single for so long, it makes it sound like there is something wrong with you.
The profile is very well written, organized, and articulate. Bundle that with your credentials and it's easy to see that you are very smart. Some people are afraid of someone smarter than they are, they are humbled. But don't dumb it down unless you are comfortable with someone with a lower intellect than you. Target your audience.
This is only my opinion, but I gave it some thought and I'm just trying to help.

Time for a reality check
Posted:
7/25/2009 3:23:35 PM
I'm trying to help not hurt.
Listening to live music is better than watching.
Take this out, serves no purpose: "Well here goes:"
This is already stated from selections you made, take it out: "I'm 31 with no kids"
I love the "cat lady" statement.
I don't understand this: "and well uncomfortable silence,"
Unless you mean this: "Combine that with being blunt, and well... uncomfortable silence, raised eyebrows, and"...
Saying "the travel" flows better. "I love my job tremendously and part of the reason for that is I travel."
The next 3 paragraphs are great, you hit your stride.
Your a poet, fantastic: "and then end the night with a sense of wanting more."
Perhaps list a few more of your many interests, and yes, you are stunning.
Remember that I'm simple and just trying to help.

Men, women, military, civillian, it happens to all groups. But as Peggy stated, being separated for such long periods is not conducive to a bond between people so I think infidelity in the military is at a slightly greater rate.

Honeymoon night

I was married at a young age after a short traditional, maybe even old fashioned courtship meaning no sex until the wedding night. So after consummating the marriage I felt kind of bad so I told my new bride that if I had known she was a virgin I would have taken my time. She instantly replied, "If I knew you were in a hurry I'd have taken my pantyhose off".
