Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?

I met a man without seeing a pic first and it was better than I had anticipated. We chatted several times through the pof IM and I asked for a pic but then figured I didn't need one. He was teasing me about being shallow and, never considering myself that way, I wanted to prove (to myself more than him) that I am not shallow and that my instincts are good. There was something about his communication style that felt right. It was comfortable from the beginning. He was articulate, amusing, thoughtful and, as bosslady points out, intriguing. When he picked me up for our first date I knew my instincts were right. Looking forward to more dates!

once a cheat, always a cheat, or do people change?

So far on this thread, I have seen responses to both sides of this issue. I think that a man (or woman, I suppose) who cheats and who cannot end one relationship before starting another has some severe underlying issues he (or she) should examine. I believe there are deep-seated psychological reasons for cheating. In some cases, I think, the man (or woman) is searching for some primal thing that was missing from very early childhood and will likely never find it as an adult. So...people can change - but not without recognizing first that there is a problem and then seeking professional help.

JARVIS COLLEGIATE.
Class of '74. some of you weren't even born then. JCI is celebrating its bicentennial in May. 200 big ones.

Sex on the first night

If a man is going to screw it up, that will likely happen long before I meet him. On this site, for example, a lot of the preamble to dating takes place in cyberspace. If I have a strong sense about a man (and many women do have that sense), I can tell long before I meet him if I WANT to sleep with him or not. So much of the connection happens before the meeting even takes place. In that sense then, daddylongstroke, it is up to you (men) not to screw it up!
