How can men stop having feelings so quickly?
Posted:
8/9/2008 11:18:20 AM
I have the opposite question, why do women take so long to have feelings? I can be talking with someone for weeks, and nothing happens.
They most likely aren't showing them.

Is it wrong to want to cuddle with someone?
Posted:

I guess I just fear being lumped into that category whenever I am with someone and want to express affection. With people who do treat women so poorly like that, I was afraid that expressing myself that way would send the wrong signal. Thanks for lightening my worries.

Is it wrong to want to cuddle with someone?
Posted:
3/5/2008 7:37:40 PM
I want to be physical with someone. Not just sex, actually, sex doesn't have to be involved, just someone to cuddle with, someone to kiss, hold hands with, hug, sleep with. But I don't want a one night stand or anything. I really want a long lasting relationship with someone.
Is it wrong to really want to embrace someone? I get really nervous when I try to be with someone to initiate that sort of behavior, because I think that the person i'm with would tell me to get out/yell if i did any kind of physical contact. I just constantly view myself as a bad person for wanting this.

Animals euthanised when they kill humans
Posted:

There are zoo-keepers who work with the animals who are in real danger if they develop a taste for humans.
It's sad. I am sure they can better ensure zoo-keeper safety and keep the animal alive. .

Profile updated!! How does it look?
Posted:

two hundred word minimum for a profile review forum? yikes well, here is an excerpt here.
"I am just a laid back guy, looking for a little special someone. Someone I can grow close to, spend time with and have fun.
I try not to hang myself up on worrying about likes and dislikes. If a person truely shines on the inside, then it matters not to me if I dislike something.
But, mostly I like taking photos. I like being talked to, not about myself, but just to hear what the other person has to say. I like playing games whether it be a lounge game like pool, a board game, or a video game. I like watching tv shows. I also love going to mexican resturants. Honesty is the best policy.
What I dislike....eggs unless it's in a breakfast buritto. I do not like vagueness. I hate school, but it's required. I can't wait to be out and working.
I haven't really dated that often to know exactly what I am looking for. So basically the only quality I'd be looking for is if you are single. If any of our likes overlap that'd be a plus :) I guess someone closeby so that we can potentially hang out often. Potentially I am looking for a serious relationship, but just casual dating would be fine too. I just the prospect of meeting new people is exciting..""

i fixed the problem.. WHat happened was, I used a password generator to generate passwords and pasted it in the box when changing my password. When this happened PoF must have a password limit, so it cut off the last few characters of my password when i changed it.

I changed my password and PoF isn't recognizing it. It's something like. &hfksc$njd% (not actual password)
The password is being emailed to me when I request it, so i know it's right. Is it an error with the website not recognizing symbols?

Important Radio Question
Posted:
7/3/2006 11:08:07 PM
I emailed the station. I recalled part of the book had the word charm in it. So i searched amazon. and found the book.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0814473571/qid=1151984149/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-1006974-6573651?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
They had the author on the radio. The way he talked about the book really caught my attention. I've had trouble making friends and sparking conversation with random strangers. this book seems to help.

hey Juggz. It's the Emo generation :(
I don't think I ever played that card on the forums here, even though my luck has been in the fritz ever since i joined. I'd expect a majority of people here who use this site, use it because they are either, shy, hate clubs/bars, or some other reason. You get to see a wide range of people here on a messegeboard from people around the world . So you are bound to see some pity threads. But that hardly makes it a majority.

"I read your profile and find it very interesting. I think we have many things in common and I would like to get to know you better. You are the kind of woman I have been looking for.
Would you like to correnspond and eventually meet? I am looking for a serious, long term relationship and you seem like a lady who could fulfill my dream. I hope we can be soulmates and best friends".
THat's BS. I've said things very similar and got no replies. I wrote it off as coming on too strong or something.

Do Men REALLY Like to Cuddle?
Posted:

Cuddling is great. During my junior prom, probably like 3AM, the limo was taking everyone home, we both we sitting together arms around each other. And she fell asleep in my arms. One of the fondest memories I have.

Universal Question
Posted:
5/19/2006 4:28:08 PM
I'm not beautiful. I know that, I've accepted that and I'm okay with that. But the question is.....if the majority of the men on here want someone that is honest, fun, funny, has a great sense of humor, loyal and trust worthy.......why are they not willing to look past the outer shell and get to know the woman inside? I personally feel that I am a great catch. I just can't seem to find anyone with a hook...LOL
The age old question.. You don't really want to force a catch. Why be with someone who doesn't want to be with you? The right guy will come along. Be active in the search as well.

How dangerous is meeting someone from the online world?

FYI, the 13 year old claimed to be 18. IF it's the same news story I heard. I think it's much safer than being in a club and being hot on by some drunk fool.

Has anyone dated someone with asbergers?
Posted:
5/10/2006 4:34:37 PM
I met someone on facebook who had Aspergers. It sounded like a funny name, so I looked up about it. And found out what it was about?
Children with severe AS do not read social cues well and have little empathy. This is apparent in their clumsy body language, inappropriate facial expression, pedantic monotonic speech, a peculiar "stiff" gaze, and difficulty sensing other’s social space. Their social interactions tend to be one-sided. They have little ability to form friendships and suffer from social isolation.
asbergers syndrome aspergers
Though they are rejected by their peers, they deeply desire the same social relationships all of us need. This rejection often leads to depression, anxiety, anger and further withdrawal.
Rather than showing developmentally appropriate interests they tend to fixate on circumscribed topics like weather, facts about TV stations, computers, or maps. This makes them seem eccentric to their peers. This impression of eccentricity is amplified by their odd postures and ill coordinated movements.
It got me thinking how can someone date a person with this if their personality is as limited as this? I just can't stop thinking how hard it would be for a person to meet anyone when they are suffering with this? How does anyone click with someone who has trouble making a normal conversation. : (

You look too much into things OP.
When it happens to me It doesn't phase me. I never really questioned to myself about it. I usually try to keep conversations to a program like AIM. It's so weird asking questions to someone in a messege. It feels like giving a survey.

What does it mean when...
Posted:
5/7/2006 9:28:32 PM
Maybe they were too busy to respond to it at the time, and then your message got buried behind a lot of new messages.
Just trying to be optimistic here...it's hard telling why someone doesn't respond.
If i see a messege as just read and it's been like a week or two, I'd write a polite follow-up just to show I am still interested. though of course that messege is still read with no reply.
My theory is you have to wait in line. THat she is interested but she has like a few more dates with other guys to go first before getting to you.
Edit:
Hayzus may be on to something :-\
