Men over 45 who dye their hair
Posted:

There's nothing worse than a guy who dyes his hair for the sole purpose of attracting younger women. I like to think people are attracted to me for my personality, vitality and rakishly good looks, even though I'm over sixty. If the hair is a deal breaker, so be it!

Is porn ruining real live sex?

We are the only ones responsible for our sex lives. Porn can be a contributing factor to some issues, but ruin a real sex life? That would make the porn industry mighty powerful, instead of just mighty entertaining.

But not too long ago, there was an ad or a cover shot of a model who had, apparently, gained some weight, like two and a half ounces or something. Consequently, she looked really great ... and consequently, the wacky folks on Madison Avenue decided to digitally make her skinnier.
Madison Avenue, admen and women control what is passed off as good advertising. The bottom line for an effective ad is revenue, sex and sexy sell. It's a winning formula.

Does anyone have anything good to say about their EX?
Posted:

My ex was a good mother to my daughters, always did the right thing by them.
She lost a battle to cancer a few years ago, I was genuinely saddened by her death, and mourned the loss of her in my daughters life.

It’s my understanding porn could be a problem for men, who are compelled to masturbate while watching. So perhaps the question should be, “Is porn ruining our vision?”. lol

What is it with men & sexually liberated women
Posted:
11/3/2009 8:00:31 PM
I'm going to say sorry for generalising but in my experience men dream of a woman that is sexualy liberated. Once they get one and a relationship develops the paranoia and accusations set in and they start to think that the woman will sleep with anyone.
Are you looking for opinions, or just want to continuously rephrase you thoughts on the topic?
Paranoia is usually part of mental illness or psychiatric disturbances. Are these the type of men you attract? In a well balanced relationship, each partner accepts and embraces the other for who and what they are. I've never been in a relationship where accusations, without basis, were an issue.
Sheesh, sometimes you find what you are looking for. Sometimes the vibes you put out there are what you get back.
Good luck.

How Easily Can You Detect Red Flags

Dogs do seem to pretty good judges of character. Plato said “A dog has the soul of a philosopher.”, I believe he was right.

I Don't Need A Man.., I very Independent..etc etc = RED Flags?
Posted:

Lots of talk about red flags. It seems we've become a society, at least a dating world, filled with skeptics. Finding someone with whom I can have the ultimate interdependent relationship? Seems like the impossible dream.
Mutually exposing warts, barnacles and vulnerabilities, that's what it's all about, I think. Oh, and being accepted, unconditionally.
Giving ourselves up to allow others to lean on us, and allowing others to help us are two of the greatest gifts we can give. Always important to maintain a sense of one's self. I'm looking for the ultimate, a partnership where we are equally dependent and independent.
Seems like that's what I've been chasing my whole life.

Erotic chatting between the two of you
Posted:

Erotic chatting? Hmmm, what's not to like, if a lover is away,or untouchable for the moment? Active adult imaginations can be stimulating.
Erotic chat with someone I don't know? Kinda brings me back to the Playboy Magazines of boyhood. There was a barber shop ever prepubescent, and younger teenaged boy in the neighborhood went to. The haircuts weren't all that good, but there was always a stack of Playboy's there for browsing. Kinda like being a kid and getting visuals only, as an adult voice only, although it can be great, I'm looking for the package deal. Up close and personal. I'm a hands on guy, and I prefer them to be on her, not me.

Have you ever fantasized about having sex with a transexual.
Posted:
11/1/2009 12:18:21 PM
A number of years ago, after a long drawn out divorce, I was in a trendy club in Manhattan.I was seeking carnal pleasures with a lovely lady, yet to be identified. A real looker started chatting me up, her signals were all positive. Not too much after meeting, we were locked in an embrace, and she began pushing her leg into my groin. Sexually aggressive women are a turn on for me. Being a gentleman, I reciprocated by running my hand up her skirted leg. I was dumbfounded, shocked, blindsided when I realized she had a neatly tucked up package under that skirt.
Didn't take long to disentangle. She had breasts, thanks to hormones, was saving for gender reassignment surgery,(still had her penis and testicles), and was by far one of the best looking gals I'd kissed in awhile. It didn't go any further. I ummm left feeling a little less amorous, or horny as one might say.
Didn't visit too many clubs in that part of the Village after that. Stuck to some more mainstream places a little more uptown.
Sheesh, if someone had the surgery complete, was living a reasonably sane life as a woman, and we had a mutual attraction to one another, why not? The older I get, the more I like to keep my options open.
Right now I'm fantasizing about the Yankees winning the world series!

Question for MEN
Posted:
11/1/2009 9:48:53 AM
Walking is great cardio exercise. I walk about twenty miles a week, but that's just to offset the free and easy eating style I've adapted throughout my life. When I found myself flabby and toneless a few years back, I joined a gym. A few sessions with a personal trainer was really helpful for me. He gave me information and guidance to achieve the results I wanted. One thing that happened, after about six months was I hit a kind of plateau. I wasn't as toned as I wanted, even though I was still putting in the hours at the gym. Back for more advice, I was instructed to switch up my routine, add weights to the machines I was using, and increase reps.
Anyone can make their body better. It takes time, dedication and determination.

Seriously, this is clearly not the way to handle "The Seven Year Itch". Think flowers, baubles and chocolates.
LMAO!! Yeah, at some point, the "stupid" moves from the behavior to its perpetrator, and then you need air. And space. Like Ron White keeps sayin', it "cain't" be fixed
Or as the simple wisdom of AA says, "Keep it simple stupid". You don't have to have an addiction to benefit from the sage advice.

Mature Adults in their Sexual Prime ??!!!
Posted:
10/31/2009 4:13:09 PM
Well I'm way past 50, and wonder if I've reached my sexual prime yet. The ability to get erect quickly, sustain an erection and ejaculate in a timely manner, I believe belongs to men much younger than myself. I on the other hand have had decades of experience, devoted to pleasing my lover, and making our sexual experience excellent for both of us.
When I was younger, it was about "getting off" and "getting mine". I was fortunate to have a giving and gifted lady in my life who taught me what making love and passion were all about. The relationship didn't last for other reasons, but the lessons she taught me remain with me today.
Yep, I'm looking forward to my "prime".

Good While Dating, But not for Marriage or LTR
Posted:
10/30/2009 9:02:27 AM
OP-Sounds like there are many conditions on what you might or might not like at any given time. Relationships, long term, whether it be by marriage, or commitment require negotiations, if they are to be successful. That's the give and take, or sometimes being mature enough to put someone else's needs or desires before your own. IMO, that's the only way to make it work.

Good While Dating, But not for Marriage or LTR
Posted:
10/30/2009 7:13:34 AM
Good "sex" isn't all that hard to find. It's a matter of physical compatibility mechanics and sometimes agility.
Agreed. The difficult part is finding the person with whom you want to test your physical compatibility. I'm looking for a package deal.
In a LTR I want intimacy, which ime is much harder to achieve. The combination of an exciting, mutually gratifying sexual relationship, combined with the intimacy shared by lovers who are best friends, is the winning ticket.
Absolutely. The combination of a satisfying and exciting sexual relationship, which keeps the interest growing year after year, combined with love and real intimacy, is indeed like reaching for and grabbing the brass ring.

I've dated small, medium and large women. There was something exciting and inviting about each of them. The older I get, the more I find the whole person of more interest than particular body parts, or type. It seems to be more about the person, and their ability to engage in life and the activities I enjoy.

I don't think younger women lust after older men, but I believe they are sometimes interested in what they may perceive as stability in older men.
I like women close to my age. If I asked where you were the day Kennedy was shot, or mentioned something about the Cuban Missile Crisis, I'd hate my date to tell me in utero, or worse yet, have no clue as to what I was referencing.

I'm a fan of tickling and being tickled from way back when. And yeah, some foreplay, depending on the time and place can be enhanced by tickling. It's nice sometimes to let your "inner child" out. But, I kinda prefer those long, deep passionate kisses, caressing and getting lost in my lover's eyes. Sheesh, we can tickle anytime.

Bi women or Straight women?

Sheesh, we are so fast to classify or pigeonhole people into groups. Bi or straight, as long as they are the one you want to be with and it works for both of you, who cares?
If you're insecure, or confuse bisexuality with a sexual addiction or the inability to be monogamous, then it's probably better to stick with the straight gal; we all know straight folks never have any of those issues.

Boyfriend and girlfriend, and she gets up and leaves right after the sex is over!
Posted:
10/28/2009 8:21:30 AM
Long ago, in a faraway land, actually just about ten blocks from where I live now,
I was with a 10+ lady one night. I was young, horny and couldn't believe my luck. We were in her bed, warming up for the main event, her phone rang, and after a brief conversation which went, "nothing, I just have to take a shower", she returned her attention to me and politely asked me to leave. Took me a long time to ever tell anyone that story, now it's just a funny anecdote from many years ago.
Left a kind of bitter taste in my mouth, but, I was young, and life goes on.
I like to sleep with a lover, I like to wake up together. For me, it's part of intimacy, the connection, the whole package. Getting up and leaving just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Q about sex w/girl on top and guy going soft
Posted:

I think when a woman is on top some men feel intimidated
If they're intimidated, they have no business doin' what they're doin'.
I think when a man goes soft while on top it is all psychological (with him)!
Hey, what happened to the equality agenda? Could be possible that soft situation has something to do with the partner he's with.

attracted to blondes last ten years...all of a sudden brunettes...anyone else?
Posted:

Hair color, as I've learned is a variable. I've chosen to be natural, couldn't imagine keeping up with the roots. At one time I was attracted to blondes, couldn't get enough of them, then brunettes, the occasional redhead and natural progression to some pretty hot ladies with grey and sliver hair. What I've learned is the hair color really doesn't matter. Beautiful hair, faces or bodies may attract me, but there's gotta be a lot more to sustain any kind of attraction.

Resources men and women bring to relationships
Posted:

I have never used "physical intimacy" as a bartering tool ...even if it is one of my many talented "resources"
That's refreshing to hear, umm, that you don't use physical intimacy for bartering, even though it is a talent you possess.
I'm an older guy, maybe foolish, but I don't much care what any woman I date does or doesn't have. I'm not looking for someone to support me, nor am I seeking a new dependent. What I'm really looking for is that ultimate connection, for love, and a lover. When I find her I don't much care what she has, I've got enough for both of us.

just wait until the police come, let them tell her
Well depending on the location of the noise, that could get expensive. OP should determine the decibels his partner is putting out. Some municipalities fine for sound over 74 decibels for residential dwellings, most people hear at a range of 45-75 decibels! In Indiana, some townships have a specific " General Obnoxious Noise Ordinance". Offenders may be punished by fine and or possible arrest depending on what the situation is.

Married Women Looking For Sex

I was married to a married woman looking for sex, umm, not with me.
Not because I'm so moral or ethical, but my policy is married people shouldn't be screwing around with anyone other than their spouse, unless they are officially separated and living apart.
It really does suck to be the unsuspecting spouse at home with the kids. Even after twenty five years it's still an unpleasant memory, thankfully not the painful one it once was.

Seems like in a certain segment of society many sexual acts, between consenting adults, are considered taboo. I wonder what all those judgmental folk think about when they're not imagining the wanton sex they're not having?

No, no, no. This is not the way adult play together. Sex is a healthy

Marriage is a government sanctioned union. Does that mean we need a

I'm actually disappointed when I see how "elderly" much of my generation has become.
I agree with that. Being a grandparent is fine, but that shouldn't define one's life.
When I suggested a 4 mile hike he was horrified. His idea of enjoying nature was driving to a scenic spot, looking and driving home!
Kind of sounds like a man who lacks imagination.
Stodgy isn't limited to men. I have women friends who are just content to be grandmas, and act accordingly. They rarely take risk, have become complacent some have lost their sense of humor.
Seems I've been meeting some of these ladies, are they your friends?
Had a first meeting a week or so ago with a lady who chided me for riding my bike to our meeting for coffee. She thought it was irresponsible for me to be riding my bike on a cloudy day. Sheesh......
..Yes, there are a few of us around who are not into the bar scene and not ready for the retirement home (although I am preparing for that if I don't meet anyone soon)
maeflowers, don't do it. Sign up for that dance class instead!

Insecurity issues

I suspect you insecurities are not just related to your weight loss but other issues you are not as forthcoming with. I've dated many women, of all shapes, sizes and colors. The most appealing thing in each of them was self confidence. They liked and were comfortable with who they are, which made them each all the more appealing to me. Insecurity can be a determent to any relationship, especially a new one.
You seem to place a good deal of importance on looks, maybe you are unconsciously attracting the kind of guy who does as well.

Shorter man Taller woman

I've never had an issue with taller women. My ex was 6' exactly, wore heels often, and was very attractive. My 2 daughters are both tall, one 5'10, the little one 5'9.
Somehow they seem to be more self conscious about their height than their mom was.
What does height matter anyhow?
