I JUST GOT HOME FROM THE GET TOGETHER AND BOY O' BOY DID I HAVE A GREAT TIME...18 PEOPLE SIGNED UP AND NORMALLY A SMALL FRACTION OF THE ONES WHO SIGN UP ACTUALLY ATTEND...BUT TONIGHT WE GOT ALMOST AS MANY AS SIGNED UP..I LOST COUNT BUT I THERE WERE ABOUT 15 OF US THERE AND I MUST SAY I DONT THINK IVE EVER LAUGHED THAT MUCH OR DANCED THAT MUCH IN MY LIFE....I GOT TO MEET SOME VERY SPECIAL AND WONDERFUL PEOPLE TONIGHT AND I ENJOYED MYSELF SOOOO MUCH.. AND I HOPE THE OTHERS DID AS WELL....I HOPE WE CAN DO THIS AGAIN VERY SOON!
AND OH YEAH THE BAND WAS AWESOME!
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO CAME OUT AND AND MADE THIS PARTY A BIG SUCCESS

ROBERT..IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT ABOUT 1/3 OF THE PPL WHO SIGN UP ACTUALLY ATTEND ...IVE SEEN 130 PPL SIGN UP FOR A PARTY AND 15 ACTUALLY SHOW UP..BUT ONCE AT A RICHMOND POF PARTY LAST YEAR ONLY 15 PPL SIGNED UP AND I THINK ABOUT 18 ATENDED SO YOU NEVER KNOW! EITHER WAY 15 OR 100 ITS STILL A LOT OF FUN TO GET TOGETHER AND HANG OUT , LISTEN TO SOME MUSIC, TALK , DANCE, HAVE A FEW DRINKS AND MEET SOME NEW FRIENDS IN OUR LOCAL AREA...
IF YOU ALL WANT TO KNOW HOW TO FIND OUR GROUP WE WILL BE AT THE BIG TABLE UNDER THE WINDOW...JUST WALK THRU THE FRONT DOOR AND HEAD STRAIGHT BACK PAST THE BAR AND PAST THE DANCE FLOOR...IM THINKING OF GETTING A BALLOON TO TIE TO THE CHAIR IF THEY LET ME..I'LL LOOK FOR A FISH IF I CANT FIND ONE IT WILL JUST BE A HEART OR FLOWER OR SOMETHING

OK GUYS LISTEN UP THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!! there has been a slight change of plans..I just found out that they are having a live band on saturday night instead of a dj...this means they will be collecting a cover charge even if you arrive early they will collect from the tables...but the good news is ....the band is Ron Moody and the Centaurs...I dont know about you guys but i remember them from wayyyyy back when I even think they had a hit top 40 tune once upon a time... anyway i hope you can all still attend

hey guys i planned the party and posted all the info on one of the party threads...i'm not sure how to make it so ppl can sign up for the party and how to fix it so it shows up in green on ppl's main page...any suggestions?

Hey everyone, I think its time for another POF party in the Richmond area...soooooo Here are the details..Visons Dance Club, April 14th at 8 pm..
Visions is located off of Midlothian Tnpk in the Koger Center Holiday Inn (1021 Koger Center Blvd) beside Johnston Willis Hospital
Visions caters to the over 40's crowd mostly (only club in Richmond that claims that) they play dance music from the 60's-90's on saturday nights ..no cover charge if you get there before the music starts at 9 ..theres a dress code but not a real strict one..just dont show up in a wife beater tank top with raggedy jeans or something like that, and you'll be good.
Their number is 804 379 3800
If anyone needs motel accomodations let me know..I can reserve some rooms at a motel a few miles from the club (Visions is in the Holiday Inn Select but the rates there start at over 100 dollars!)
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!!! come early and eat dinner if you like ....(the club serves nice light fare and there are several restaurants on the premises)

I was thinking about a richmond party and youre youre right english teacher..its a great idea...i will call a club i know in ricmond called visions (its not crawling with youngsters and easy and free parking) and reserve some space there. Ive had many chatroom parties there in the past and its always been a great place. They dont play extremly loud techno music or rap or hip hop..its usually more like oldies, beach music and top 40..they usually dont have live bands on saturday nights
After i make a call to them i will post a thread announcing a party there..I'm thinking around april 14 which is the weekend after easter and I'm also thinking about reserving a few rooms at a nearby motel just in case anyone needs one...if any of you you have any imput please let me know..

I think this thread has gotten a little off track..it seems to have started out as a a question of honesty about profile information and ended up as a comment on personal preferences. I agree with the originator if this thread that people should be honest in their profile and even though i am myself a bbw or few extra pounds or whatever you want to call me i agree that different people like different physical features.. what i do not agree with however is the very crude and rude old joke he referenced about how to have sex with a fat chick... roll her in flour and aim for the wet spot..i think that was very tasteless and tacky.
I also agree that people on these sites who are interested in dating should post a recent picture that portrays them accurately.
I am overweight myself but i do not get offended when men say they are not attracted to large women because i have my preferences and they have a right to theirs..if everybody liked the same thing this world would be a very boring place...but guys you can have your preferences without fatbashing or being unkind to those of use who are not within your particular height/weight/age/looks/ guidelines

Mary..thank you so much for putting this event together, i'm so looking forward to it. as far as name tags go, it wouldnt be a bad idea, i sure know i'm terrible at remembering names. i would also like to mention that if this is successful we could maybe make it a regular thing and get together several times per year..i have had some parties for the small chatroom i host on msn and we have a great time, we play fun games and have contests with small prizes and it really livens things up ...we play a game called "dare' where we pass around a big bowl of dares for everyone to perform such as .."ask a stranger for a cigarette or directions to the closest sex shop" or "ask a stranger to dance" or "sing a song" or "give
anyone in the club a kiss on the cheek " just silly things like that but its fun...we also make up cute ballots and vote on such categories as best muscles , best hair, best buns or best eyes for the men and best chest, eyes, hair or buns for the ladies..its surprising how things like that break the ice and get everyone talking and laughing (the alcohol doesnt hurt either).... it might be something to think about for future parties......anyway just wanted to thank you for planning this and tell you how much i'm looking forward to it... and let me know if i can help with anything.....gail

COME ON RICHMOND PEOPLE... the people in va beach are having a get together on saturday and already they have over 100 people who say they are attending..I know we can get some more people interested in coming to Richbrau, after all... its a cool club with pool tables, good beer and a dance floor ...what more could you ask?...besides i'm sure there as many singles in the richmond area as there are in the tidewater area..how about you guys joining us for a fun evening? (and dont forget to invite your friends)
