I do have a question for those of you who follow the wheat/grain-free diets now. Are you ever able to "cheat", have a small helping of something with wheat once in a blue moon without problems, or does even an occasional little bit have an immediate adverse effect?

Sometimes ( rare) I have chips and salsa or a tortilla at a Mexican restaurant or a bun with a big burger when I go out with friends. maybe twice a month.
This weekend I had toast on the run with a friend and my stomach did not like it at ALL and have been lethargic almost 2 days now.

I get a "food hangover". Headache and or feel bloated, low energy ect.
Same with something sugary but sugar is worse for me, usually a bad headache.

I have to eat nothing but apples and melon to feel better and take enzymes to reduce inflammation.
It does cause a reaction pretty quick in my case.


Imagine I ate like that all the time for years and couldn't understand why I had such low energy.
Its been about 12 years now.

Glad you came over to the no grain side and feel better.

I think LETTING strangers you do not know or care about that probably have a profile full of lies and fake/old pictures is TRAGIC.

Nasty grams usually come from people who can't get anyone to respond to them or 13 year olds on moms computer.

It COULD work, but if either are on the extreme end of the spectrum..I don't get how compatible the lifestyles could be.
But it happens.

I have cringed at watching people I care about with a huge belly stuff sweets and breads in their face always saying "WELL its in moderation"..Whatever.
If it were in moderation..there would not be an issue.


How many times do we see that ODD couple and the fit one is looking at other fit people walk by?
Yeah they do.

I think most of the time some major insecurity on the less fit person would be an issue in itself.

"Gluten free foods and snacks" often contain lots of sugar and other things you should not eat.
Just buy things that are from plants and animals that are not processed or fed grains and given hormones.

I have found people that have oatmeal, whole grain cereals ect for breakfast have more fat in the belly and are often sluggish .
The thing is, those are often touted as healthy by people with MD behind the name.

Most blame meat and fats for their ills and issues.
The potato has a bad rep also.

Grains are inflammatory and will cause issues with most everyone.

What could have happened though op (and that depends on your area), is we had a strange/early spring and he could have had very slight allergies to things that usually bloom at different times.But they went BAM and everything bloomed at once.

It was a snOtty/wheezy 2 weeks around here..



The athletics outside and him breathing through his mouth would also be a factor.
PLEASE>>>>>>>>>Don't use others peoples inhalers EVER!!!

I had a friend at cheer leading camp drop dead from that many years ago.
Heart attack.

Give him coffee and some quercetin and bromelain capsules on an empty stomach.
He needs to slow down outdoors until the doctor sees him..

Sub-lingual DMG is also a natural safe alternative for getting oxygen to the lungs.

Get a good well lit face shot.

A FULL body pic is imperative, not bust up.
Dress like you would on a first meet in a couple of pictures.

I think its that part about no time for a relationship.
A relationship does not mean a gal wants to see you 7 nights a week, a relationship can be many things.

You "come off "as not really having time for anything other than a few nights of fun once in a while.

If thats true then leave in how BUSY you are. Someone will eventually want a beer bong thong night once or twice a month when you have the time.

Most women/gals/girls want to meet someone that makes time for her and takes them out for FUN while getting to know you.

Thats usually once or twice a week of going out or an afternoon and an evening.

Maybe re word that.

I think I clarify that the intent is ridiculous to list in my profile.
It is different to many people.It will be a different intent with people you or I meet.

Some I may have a intent of just dating because they are fun..as in not long term relationship material.
Others I may have another intent.

Putting nothing serious seems to turn a lot of men and women off that want to possibly have a serious relationship in the future .
Read the entire profile and it seems to be clarified by some and ambiguous at best with others
Some its VERY clear by the entire profile their intent no matter what the box says.

Nothing on the market that looks natural IMO.
Maybe those slow tinting moisturizers or a clear tinted moisturizer will make it less noticeable.

I should have said grams.. MY bad. Squeeze me like a melon and call me juicy.



I am 120-121 I eat aprox 60 grams of protein to keep up my strength and muscle tone with my activities.
I could also gain muscle if I lift heavier at 60 grams.
I could also have less and not lose muscle..

It's not a RULE. It's a maximum to average guide I go by for me.


We have already seen time and time again that what you eat has little effect and that calories is where it is at.

After you've lost the fat you're looking to lose, you can increase your protein consumption a bit to help you build muscle. Focusing on either fat loss or muscle gain at a time will give you faster results than trying to do both at the same time.


^^^^^^^Was the point I was trying to make.
Focus on your food and fat loss first. Stay flexible and do natural movements/use you own body weight with some exercise not to LOSE muscle with your fat loss.
30 minutes a day walking/stretching and things you can do at home to start would be my advise.

Eat real food you make at home.

FOOD is KEY to fat loss, not working out.
Eat enough to keep your metabolism up and blood sugar in balance.

These BIGGEST LOSER contestants may be inspiring to watch them transform so quickly but the 6 hours working out a day and sub sandwiches / processed cold cuts by jenny with severe calorie restriction is not how to do it and keep it off unless that is what you want the rest of your life to be like.

I think it is dangerous for MOST people to go that route.

When your body fat is at the level you want..Go from there with serious weights and targeting areas to build.
Again get/stay flexible and enjoy walking, biking and go dig up that tree stump.

If you want to lose fat.
First concentrate on a eating lifestyle you can live with.
No sugar, grains, processed foods are KEY for me.
No "diet" foods.
No "fat free" foods that add sugar or ready made shakes.

It will be hard at first because your brain tells you sugar is wonderful.

SUGAR IS THE ENEMY except when found naturally in whole foods.

Make sure you incorporate being flexible .
Start slow so as not to injure and you will get strong quicker than you think esp at your young age.

Most of us need half our body weight in protein for moderate exercise and work outs.

Have snacks. Walnuts, almonds, an apple through out the day and portable.
Do not keep foods in the house that are not good for you.

Make yourself eat 4-5 veggies and 2-3 fruits a day. I eat more fruit, but thats my blood sugar /mood balance.
Lean organic protein esp plain Greek yogurt is a good source of protein and salmon.

Buy a crock pot, throw in meat and vegetables..supper will be ready.
No splenda/sweet n low ect. in anything.
Educate yourself on reading food content.



Eat healthy fats or your body will want to hold on to the fat you have.

I like days out or evenings out, pubs, restaurants or cinema, nights in with wine and a dvd, and walks on the beach. I know it sounds corny but I love being near the sea, wind, rain or shine! I love spending time with my daughter and enjoy all the family type things so kids really are no object.

You need a FULL body shot.

You have an array of pics that show the same look.

Make your main clear ( yours isn't). I think the 3rd pic is the most flattering and clear that you have up.

Nothing can make me more sore than working in the yard and rearranging furniture.

I do a little of everything but running and it still makes me sore if I spend a lot of time in the yard and doing reg house work.
Aerobics, weights,yoga, bands, walking. Something different every two days.

Just blow drying hair works different muscles or scrubbing pots.
I exercise my feet and hands also.

My mood is really high right now.

I'll keep a log and I seem to need to leave the house to get motivated to work really hard and longer.
I do minor work outs at home.

Some legs and some arms, but the classes are an hour and I wont do an hour at home.
One its to hot and two, some others that go really INSPIRE me.

I see someone 35 and 200 pounds or 83 working like a horse or someone that has one leg.

It's amazing what people can do and just makes me feel great to be around such a diverse group.
I have no excuses around them.

Some are advanced and I know I can get there.

I'm very lucky my instructor is so fun.
My weight lifting/leg class varies many exercises.
The lunges and squats are worked in almost every class I take even in Yoga .

I have a friend that started me on squats in 3 positions and the instructors in class have improved HOW I do them.
I wasn't holding my butt correctly it seems.


2 classes on Tues and they both work the arms in different ways. One is weights ,one is bands and a lot of stretching.
Something in the arms and legs have been sore everyday this week.


My azz and thighs have been sore since SAT but in different ways.
One day the frt is sore, then the back is sore.

Not sure if thats good or bad or if I am just not used to the varied movements, but I think its a "good sore".
Crunches everyday 4 days straight also.

I just wonder about recovery..Sat and Sun off except walking and extra triceps..

Its SO FUN.

If it wasn't fun I don't know think I could do so many days.

Travelling any distance in excess of, say, 20 miles or so, during any sort of beginning online dating relationship can be a somewhat risky proposition.

My legs get hit regularly and are very strong and my a.s.s is nicely 'lifted' I put that down to the squats and lunges.

I'll get there................ but you are something to measure up to.

SORE azz again today.

Good work out Monday .
Was taught some great form yesterday from a pro and thighs are sore also.
Lunges and squats..OMG. Really enjoying them.


I always had typical Irish azz/ upside down heart shape, just not a lot there to work with.

If you had garnished the plate with some parsley and red onion, had some crumbles of organic feta cheese on the asparagus and a nice salad with olives..All would have gone well.

EYE appeal goes a long way

WHO argues about food? 3 year old children.


You should have known your "customer".
Both of you need a good shaking.............No match.

Did you at least offer her a drink first?

Heel spurs..can be caused by injury ( ,obesity, gout, lupus,strain on the arch) and other things.

Yes you can get them in both heels.

VERY common in people with an acidic diet high in animal protein, sugar and processed foods, cheese.also arthritis,neuritis or tendonitis.

Get the proper amount of calcium.magnesium, good healthy protein, vitamin c with bioflavnoids, MSM for inflammation while you heal.

Bromelain in the mornings before breakfast.

Eat anti inflammatory foods

Good comfy shoes are a must no matter how ugly.
Stretch and use Ice packs

Massage can help with oils for some people.
I would schedule the PT ..It can take months.

Healing time is different for everyone.

Surgery is usually a last resort, so must have been really a bad case.

That must smart like hell.
A splinter drives me nuts.

I don't get people.

A man that can cook a steak with just salt and pepper, grill a salmon or a chicken breast is OK by me in the cooking dept.
Thats all other than chopping veggies and loading a dishwasher they need to know except get their own dayum tea in my book.

By The By 2cigs a day or 2-3 beers a week is not even close to being as dangerous as daily consumption of sugar in any form/soda/processed/ unidentifiable food and grains. That includes rice / grains/corn made for cheap laborers and to fatten farm animals.
Anything in a box or that has ANY ingredient you cant pick or dig up( other than some salt and spice)
The meal looked ok except for the mushy stuff..

Keep a frozen LASAGNE handy for your next guest in case she freaks out by that "shyte".
Then you will know it's not the food.

^^^^^^^Squats are easier on the knees but I'm taking it slow.

You have had enough ISSUES with this man to make 5 made for TV dramas if its the same one terrified he will have to raise your grandkids and all that other mess.

Thread searched to ask a question..regarding squats.

Just started squats with my lunges yesterday and did pretty good.
My azzz feels like someone beat it today just walking and doing the butt stretches and yoga.

I haven't worked the lower body hard in a while and wondered if anyone has tips on how to most effectively get the most LIFT of the butt as far as skipping days without using weights for now.

Legs were spread a good bit during the squats to go low.

Maybe he did what I did and freaking LOSE weight by doing more exercise, lifting and adding some extra protein the first month.

About 4 pounds.

I did meet a body builder in my new fitness class that claims he can put more muscle on my arms and shoulders..He said he could look at them and tell.

Won't have to change my eating.

He is big and muscular at 83..Amazing build.
Hmmm...... Think so? By looking at them?

He isn't imposing on her way of eating.

He just said he won't pay for her to eat meat on a date with HIM.
Did he bring up the subject of meat?
He could have done/said it differently if he wanted to date her


They both sound extremely immature to fight about it.

Seems he could have said "I would love for you to try this vegan restaurant/meal and take you out.""Would you care to try it?"

She could have missed one meal with no meat.

Get out and meet new people and have some fun. Be busy.
