Japan's 'Dream' giving the UFC a run for their/our money
Posted:

I don't see Dream giving the UFC comp here but at the same time I doubt the UFC is huge in Japan...I may be wrong but if Dana thought he could do anything there he would have been there by now. I think Japan is still pissed that first of all Zuffa bought Pride and second that they killed it very unceremoniously.
I preferred Pride over any others, loved the ten minute first round, loved the atmosphere and that was just over video I could only imagine being there live, I very much prefered the judging in Pride, and most of all NO CECIL PEOPLES!!!

Will Affliction give UFC a run for their money?
Posted:

All I know is for now they are putting on cards that are way better than the UFC, I hope they are able to stick around long enough to make a dent.
They've said they are committed to 4 shows and then see where it goes from there, hopefully it just keeps going.
I think the UFC is having way too many shows a year and are forced to water down their product...they will have a fight or two that people want to see and then just shove a bunch of TUFtards in there to fill in the rest. No way will I pay for that shit...

Whey Protein and Milk?
Posted:

Just having it with water tastes like what I imagine it would be to pick up the toilet bowl after a night of Taco Bell (I have chocolate flavored Whey), the only prob with the milk for me anyway is then I am in the bathroom afterward as if I had a night filled with Taco Bell.
I now eat the Myoplex protein bars which don't taste like rotting ass.

Bisping will be Top 3!
Posted:

Chonan beat that ass standing and on the ground though I doubt he would ever be able to repeat that performance.
As far as Bisbing I think he has a long way to go before breaking into the top 3...you got Silva, Henderson, Franklin in the top 3 for now with a strong Okami prolly at #4. I dont see him beating any of them any time soon, while I do enjoy his fights he always makes stupid mistakes that against better opposition will cost him.
I think given a few more years and good trainers he can be someone but for now he'll be stuck midcard for awhile.

So you met on the internet and you hit it off, what do you tell people about where you met?

The story I usually go with is "She was a glory hole worker and her braces got stuck, firemen had to come out and everything...funny thing is the moment I saw her it was love at first sight"
It's such a romantic story people usually just walk away because they are so choked up at the beauty of it.

You know whats funny is everyone was saying the same exact stuff the first time they fought and look what happened. Serra is a threat to just about anyone on any given day, that being said the smart money is on GSP....I think I'll pick Serra so if he wins I can look like a genius as to where if he loses I can always play it off as a Yeah we all knew GSP would beat that ass LOL

Life is a game baby, you gotta take that shit and run it the best way you know how...you roll the dice and see what numbers pop up. So far I have been doing ok but not great in the dating area but in life in general I am the bees ****in knees because I have my son and my health...getting better with each pound I lose.
I know one of these days I will meet the right chica, or maybe I have met her already and life being the game that it is has played me so I just don't know it yet...either way keep at it ese and it will turn around for you. Don't expect too much or you will be disappointed no matter what you receive but if you go into a situation expecting nothing then when fate decides its time to let you be happy you will appreciate it that much more =-P

Will Randy Couture win his next fight?
Posted:

for anyone looking for the fights check out www.dailymotion.com and search for UFC 74 they might still be up although the UFC is pretty quick with getting stuff pulled off the net in a hurry.
It was a good fight and Randy did much better than I expected him to do, I thought for sure Gonzaga would out power him for a bit then maybe tire out or submit him. I did not expect for Randy to come out like he did and dominate the bigger man...I am very happy I was wrong on this one and I would definitely like to see Randy Vs Fedor but from what I heard randy broke his arm so we will have to wait a lil bit before he fights anyone.

Belfort...Lidell...plenty others...
With such a compelling argument as this I stand corrected and now see that Fedor could not even hold Randy's jock strap.
I do thank you for the edification sir....

Very true and who can blame him if he will actually be making about a million per fight.
I just really don't see how you can see them as close to being equal, who has Randy faced and beaten that even comes close to Fedor's resume?

I love Fedor but Randy has probably the best chance of beating him out of anyone on the current UFC roster. I'm thinking Fedor probably feels the same way and that's why we need to see this match up before it really is too late.
Think about it...Randy's wrestling and submission defence all but cancels Fedor's Sambo. Randy's is likely just as strong physically...and their respective standup is pretty close with perhaps the edge going to Fedor.
Then you throw the cage into the mix as an intangible and it's almost a dead heat.
Regardless...the match needs to happen.
Are you serious?? Fedor has fought and beat Nog 3 times who's ground game is phenomenal yet Fedor made him look like a tard wrestling with a pickle and yet you think Randy can do something against him?
He beat Crocop standing and forced him to back peddle the entire fight but you think Randy could offer anything standing when sloppy ass Chuck tore him up twice on his feet?
He has faced and beat Hunt, Fujita, Herring, Coleman, and Goodridge yet you think their physical strength is about equal??
Wow I am wondering which world you live in or if you have ever even seen Fedor fight before.
As for Randy's upcoming fight I think he might win if an over confident Gozanga comes into the cage. But if Randy takes him down he would be foolish since that is Gabe's best part of his fight game. Randy will be over powered just like he was against Barnett.
I would put my money on Gonzo but I would also never count Randy out.

Though I have met a couple of women who upon meeting them I was wondering if the pictures in the profiles were of them or maybe a better looking sister.
And no I am not superficial but as M4's "Truth in Advertising" topic is concerned I know what he means =]

AFAIK Sherk has yet to be suspended since he just got an extension on his hearing as did Baroni. If you have other info though please do share =]
If Sherk truly is innocent then I can understand him wanting to fight it but if there is even the most remote chance of him coming back dirty then this will only exacerbate the roid situation in MMA.

It will play out like it has with Dana picking off all of Prides top talent and slowly but surely adding more and more dirt to Pride's grave.
Even if there is more shows using the Pride name there will never be another Pride event because as much as it saddens me Pride as we know and love it is dead.
If I had my way I would take Pride to the Pet Cemetery......

UFC can not compare itself to boxing.

Usually I respect other peoples opinions no matter how retarded but not only is the OP's topic retarded but he also spouts off shit without knowing what he is talking about.
MMA Fighters have training camps just like Boxers do, Tito and Rampage both train up in Big Bear like some Boxers do, and they will normally have 6 week training camps. If you looked into things a bit more before making yourself look very closed minded then perhaps people would have actually discussed this with you.
It seems as though you had no intentions of having a conversation as it were about the subject but rather you had a uneducated opinion and for some reason you thought it would be a good idea to share.
You know I've had some really good shits in my 34 years but never once have I decided to dig one out of the toilet, put it on a leash and walk it down the street to show people my accomplishment....I am sitting here wondering if you will be putting a shock collar on the next turd you decide to parade around out in the streets.

Compass
Posted:
5/21/2007 8:14:29 PM
Eyes open slowly almost painfully, he has no idea where he is or how
he got here but what he does know is that he wishes things were the
way they were when all he had were dreams. He shakes his head asco
if this will somehow take away the fog covering his brain and as he does
so he realizes that he is in some type of forest which he has never seen
before.
The boy rises to his feet cautiously because he hasn't a clue what to
do next, should he cry out for help, would anyone hear him? Should
he just stay put in hopes of someone coming to look for him? Or
should he gather himself up and become the man his Dad always told
him he would some day become?
Standing there contemplating his next move he feels into his pocket
and pulls out a compass, it was a gift given to him 4 years earlier by
someone he no longer knows... someone he once loved but now bitterness
has taken loves place. He examines his compass which is the greatest
gift he has ever received aside from life and as he does so he sees
that it is pointing him in a direction, not exactly north but somewhere
he needed to get to and he knew this compass would lead him to his
destination.
Though scared he now knew which way to go so he took his first step
into the forest, branches snapping under foot and tree limbs smacking
him in the face as the treetops got more and more dense. Every time
he moved it seemed to get darker but this is the way he was being lead
so he knew he was going the right direction. He walked for what seemed an
eternity slowly coming out of the darkness of the forest when he saw
a river that was just awe inspiring and it had one of the most beautiful
waterfalls he had ever seen the waters were blue and calm on the banks
and white, choppy, and very powerful running down it's center, he could
only stare at it at first not knowing if he should dare take the chance
and go for a swim but it was so relaxing hearing the waters churn and
so inviting as the sun cast it's reflection upon it's breath taking waters
so he decided to jump in and feel the river's glory.
He swam back and forth along the mellow banks not daring to go toward
the rougher waters and as he swam he was happy for the first time since
he woke from his dreams and he wanted to chance the white waters but
he was scared of getting pulled under or finding himself on the bottom
of a mighty river gasping for air that would never come, and just as he was
about to venture a bit further toward those waters the river became cold.
It was a cold like he had not felt before and it was enough to freeze
up his arms and legs where they became useless and as much as he
wanted to swim and enjoy everything around him he knew the river didn't
want him there anymore, he somehow made it to the banks again and
washed up on shore but he was disoriented and freezing...his brain didn't
seem to work and his thought patterns were those of a new born infant.
He walked on trying to forget the river trying to get his head about him again
when he stumbled into a place he thought looked good from the outside
but once he got past the bushes he was caught in a wall of thorns and
poison ivy and he could hear the birds above him laughing and mocking
him and he tried to fight his way out but no matter what he did the thorns
stuck him deeper and deeper until he bled and it seemed as though
the wall of thorns was never to release him, then he reached into his
pocket and found his compass once again which was now pointing
toward an exit he had not seen before so he struggled and pulled his
body free of the prickly bush he had wandered into and upon freeing
himself he collapsed.
The boy had no idea how long he had been passed out but the sky
was dark but this time it wasn't the trees blocking out the sun for he
could see the stars and the half moon above him, he had enough
light to find a more comfortable spot to lay and nurse his wounds so
he did just that, walking for a short time he came once again upon
the river and lets it's melodic sounds lull him to a deep sleep.
He woke up the next morning still in a bit of pain and a bit weak from
the blood loss, the waters looked so serene today, calming and healing
so he took a chance and let himself slide back in but this time he verbally
reminded his brain "Just be careful" and the waters felt so good, so invigorating,
so much like what he had hoped for to bring healing to his body. He started
again to gravitate toward the white waters and toward the peaceful
chaos they held, he got close felt his heart racing and his breathing
getting shallow in anticipation...there was no cold coming towards him
this time no freezing surprise waiting to seize up his body, no...instead
he felt a biting sensation then more, it kept coming harder and harder
until he felt flesh being ripped from bone and he cried out in agony
at the pain he was enduring. He tried to make it to shore but the harder he
swam the rougher the waters became and the more pieces of himself
he lost until all he wanted to do was give up but he knew that wasn't
something he could afford to do because there was so much more life
to be lived. He swam as hard and as long as he could and made it to
dry land though there were parts of him taken by the river that he knew
he would never retrieve.
He laid there next to the river wishing he could swim her gorgeous
waters but knowing the outcome of another try so he did the only thing
he could do which was to shed tears over the lost bits of himself he
wouldn't ever see again but even as he lay there in his grief he was
grateful to have had the little bit of time he did have in the waters of
something so magnificent and he thought about the gentle waters till
he found himself once again in a restful sleep.
His hearing came to him first and it was a good sound, he was still
near enough to the river to hear the waterfall and he was overcome
with happiness and sorrow all at once, he stood up, reached in his
pocket, pulled out his most prized possession and looked upon the
compass needle. I was pointing toward a giant tree that even from
such a far off distance the boy could tell housed many dreams so he
trusted his gift and made sure to shine it and take good care of it because
he knew as long as he held it close and as long as he was true to it, it
would be true to him and he would some day come out of this forest...
he would some day become the man his Father told him he would one
day be.
His compass would lead him home.

Marbles
Posted:
2/27/2007 8:26:12 AM
Oops I posted this in the poems section cause I was to tarded to scroll down and see this forum =P
Any way I guess this belongs here then =]
Once upon a time there was a little boy
He was never without his bag of marbles
and he played all sorts of games with them
sometimes he would find a stick and shoot them like playing pool
other times he would try to juggle them like he once saw at the circus
One day he was playing by the wooden fence out back
he was throwing the marbles against the fence and catching them
as they came back when all of a sudden he heard someone say
"Stop That"
the little boy was frozen in his tracks because this was the most
beautiful voice he had ever heard.
He looked through the knothole in the fence and saw
what looked like an angel on the other side and he was scared to say Hi
She asked his name and he was so shy he couldn't answer right away
though he eventually told her. He also asked for her name and when her heard it
it made perfect sense that an angel would have such a name.
They talked through the fence daily often playing games through the knothole
sometimes passing notes and although he was still learning how to spell he did
the best he could, sometimes making her rudimentary drawings for her
and they became very good friends often talking about how they needed to find a way
to climb the fence so they could play together without having to rely on the knothole
The more they played the fonder he grew of her, he had a favorite marble in his bag that he
protected like no other. It was red and crystal clear and it shone like a most beautiful diamond
and he decided that he was going to give his angel this marble so he pushed it through the
fence and she said thank you very much and they played some more.
The little boy had other friends and he would play with them on occasion but every time
he was away from his angel he wanted to run back to the fence just so he could hear her voice once again
so one day he decided to tell her about the way she made him feel and hope that he could knock
down the fence and spend all day playing games with her and sharing stories back and forth
so he went to the knothole and looked through it but she was no where to be found.
Days went by and he waited by the fence for any sign of her and he often thought
he heard her whisper to him but it was nothing more than the wind playing cruel jokes.
Days turned into weeks
and then one day he went out to the fence and peeked through the hole as had become his routine
and still no sign of her but something shiny caught his eye and he looked down
she had been here, she had passed him something through the knothole only instead of
happiness consuming him as he had hoped, it was a sadness that filled him...
one he had not felt in a long long time.
Laying on the ground on his side of the fence was the beautiful red marble he'd given to her
only now it was dusty and scratched in several places.
He bent down to pick it up and as he did he felt his throat swell up and his eyes water
and he wondered what he had done wrong.
Once upon a time there was a little boy
he was never without his bag of marbles
he took his bag of marbles and buried them deep deep
in the earth because he knew he would no longer need them.

Paul Weller: You Do Something to Me
Posted:
2/27/2007 8:20:54 AM
This song really sums up a lot of crap at the moment.
You do something to me
something deep inside
I'm hanging on the wire
for a love I'll never find
You do something wonderful
then chase it all away
Mixing my emotions
that throws me back again
Hanging on the wire,
I'm waiting for the change
I'm dancing through the fire,
just to catch a flame
an' feel real again
Hanging on the wire,
Said I'm waiting for the change
I'm dancing through the fire,
just to catch a flame
an' feel real again
You do something to me
somewhere deep inside
I'm hoping to get close to
a peace I cannot find -
Dancing through the fire yeah
just to catch a flame
Just to get close to,
just close enough -
To tell you that.....
You do something to me - something deep inside

Short Story

OK so it's not a poem or quote but I don't really know where else this might go.

Laying on the ground on his side of the fence was the beautiful red marble he had given to her
only now it was dusty and scratched in several places.

How do I show my love?

Dude if you really love her it is gonna be really hard to let go but you need to and if you need to cry then fu'ckin do it...I cried like a bi'tch when me and my ex split though we were together for 7 years and have a child together so it is a bit different.
Point being you need to let go as everyone is suggesting and maybe she will see what she is missing, or maybe she is telling you this because she found someone else to****her down in which case you don't need someone like that any way.
I am sorry for you though.

Met a great woman one year ago...

I have a similar situation though we live only about an hour and a half apart but when I wanted things to go further she wasn't ready...in fact she pretty much cut off all communication with me for a bit then later we started talking again and this time she was ready but I was (and still am to a point) scared of her and being hurt again.
The other day I let he know my feelings for her and now there is a kind of...strange thing where we have talked about it but not to much. Anyway I said all that to say if she is someone you really like then I would say go on with what you need to do and as cliche as it is If it is meant to be it will be. Thats what I am trying to do, I hope I end up with Mi linda but if fate has something else in store for me so be it.

Gracias, actually the tag line was me just looking for anything to say...I made the profile really just out of boredom when a friend told me about this site. I do think it is a bit retarded and I should probably change it sometime in the near future, I appreciate the advice you have given about the negativity and such but one thing I have come to learn is sarcasm doesn't not translate to well in typed form sometimes.
I know the pic isn't the best but it was the first one I came upon at the time so I threw it up there =] I'll look around for a couple more that don't make me look like a troll LOL and I am wondering what it is you don't like about seeing up someones nose? There is alot of info to be had there...the color of ones boogers instantly tells you of infection or other much needed info (hope that translated).
Bye for now =]

For some reason I think you aren't really embarrassed but rather you want all the ladies to know that you got a crazy****in hopes of having one of em finding out for themselves.
Record that shit and put it on youtube.com, I'm sure it will be favorited many times over ese =]

Chuck always seems to have trouble with fighters who are aggresive, examples are Rampage, Overeem (till he gassed), Randy the first time, Belfort...and everyone knows Silva is very aggresive. That being said a couple thumbs to Silvas peepers will keep him at bay so Liddell does have a pokers chance

This was the worst UFC event since 55 and i really thought none would top that for shittiness.
I can't wait for Pride to come to the US and I really hope the Silva/Chuck fight happens...as much as I wanted Babalu to beat Liddell I am now looking for Chuck to thumb Renato into submition just so I can see the Axe Murderer beat the shit out of him LOL
I have also heard Fujita is supposed to be fighting on that same card but no word yet on who his opponent might be, I'm thinking AA might be a good matchup for him or maybe we can see Ironhead beat up on Mir...that would be fun

Rampage has a great chin but it just fell apart against Silvas knees, I think that says more about Silva's knee strikes than it does about Jackson's chin.
I was mostly kidding about Overeem mostly because of his always gassing but if that guy can get his shit strait then he will be a very good fighter instead of an inconsistant one as he is now.
I think you are correct about Arona possibly getting KTFO because of the way he punches but those leg kicks would take their toll on Liddell and he would either get sloppy-er with his hits giving Arona the chance to take him down or he would go in for the shoot himself just to get away from those kicks...I would very much like to see this fight. I don't really like Arona to much as a person from the interviews and such I have seen and read but as a fighter he is pretty solid.
Though this has nothing to do with Liddell I for one thing Lil Nog v Shogun was the fight of the year for '05, I know there were some very good ones but I've watched this fight about 8 times now and it just keeps getting better...I also think Nog won that fight but I did like the way it turned out cause we got to see Rua kick Ricardo's ass LOL
One more I think is better than Lidell when he fights at 205 is Yoshida.
I'll also say it's nice to be able to discuss this without it turning stupid like it would on just about any myspace board LOL

That would be Kevin Randleman who used to be in the UFC and was a champ but I forget if it was HW or LHW.
Here is another one that is pretty ok

Who was Liddells last real opponent? Maybe his 2nd fight with Randy where he damn near took the mans eyes out but other than that he hasn't fought anyone of any signifigance since he was in Pride for the tourny. I know he fought Randy again but Cotour was in his early hundreds in that fight and was a shadow of his former self.
He has Sobral coming up but this fight will not be pretty for Babalu simply because of the style match up, I really hope Sobral works on his striking a whole hell of a lot and uses it to set up the take down...then he needs to find a way to keep Liddell down...Very tough fight for Renato.
For the woman who hasn't seen any Pride events (sorry I didn't catch your name) email me and I may be able to get you a couple DVDs if you like.
Sunday is gonna be a good day, I get my son back and I get to watch some Pride FC LOL

Cool to see so many into MMA, for those who havent seen much pride I would suggest going on youtube and looking some stuff up.
Here are a few of my Favorites:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU3162CboNk
Two of the best highlights I have ever seen.
I know this question wasn't posed to me but I will answer as far as who is above Liddell IMHO
Silva
Rampage
Arona
Lil Nog
Shogun
and although he has beaten him I would maybe even say Overeem, that fight was going his way till he gassed...they need to give him 2 minute rounds so the **** could keep from gassing LOL
I can't wait for the next Bushido either!! Dennis Kang is becoming a ****in pimp

I say let her move back in but make sure you walk around the house naked all the time and say that is a new house rule, if she starts walking around naked too then all you have to do is set up a slip and fall with her underneath...
