Nevada Couple Blames Internet for Neglect

As sad as this story is, if they had enough time to pull themselves away to make the babies, they should have enough time to care for them. I hope for the best for these children.

Dating a woman who has been abused in the past
Posted: 11/23/2006 7:23:03 PM
Damaged goods???? What is wrong with you ? I dated a girl for years who was in a relationship so bad she suffered from PTSD ( Yes I went to the " shrink " with her a couple of times ) I will admit it was a bit of a struggle at first, but she was worth it,any woman deserves a chance to be happy ,and safe. Calling her damaged goods only reinforces abusive behaviour. She is already the victim , help her out for Chr!$t's sake. Everybody has a story about love gone wrong but not everybody has physical, and more importantly mental scars. I think she actually started healing when she saw that he was only good at beating women. ( somebody who shall remain nameless had their hand around his throat ) If you're only going to date women who haven't been abused in one form or another you're going to be excluding at least 50% ( guestimate) If you care at all, give her a chance,be supportive, hang in there. Let's put it this way,if your mother was in an abusive relationship at some point in her life, would you hold her responsible ? Would you love her any less?

Imam's Removed from US Airways Flight
Posted: 11/23/2006 3:36:06 AM
The Sept. 11th terrorists made it through security as well. I'd say better safe than sorry. If you weren't actually on the plane it would be hard to know , or feel the threat level Nobody is bashing any ones religious beliefs or ethnic back grounds. Imagine what would have happened to the airline if there was an incident, and all these unheeded warning signs were brought to light later. So a few people were on a later flight, alert the media.

Do You Men Read Our Whole Profiles?
Posted: 11/12/2006 9:35:20 PM
I always read the profile, the whole profile before I send mail to any one,and I comment on it in the email. I read a lot in the forums so if I see a picture that grabs my attention , no it doesn't have to be a semi porn pic or even a picture at all , if the post is what I would call funny or intelligent. I'll pull up the profile just to see if we're somewhat on the same page.Believe me there are some FUNNY profiles out there, you guys don't know what you're missing. Look at all the pictures in the profile too, some times there is a bonus joke in there. I've contacted lots of what I would consider really attractive woman , been polite in my letter , commented on their profile or picture or both. I received a reply from every single woman except for 2 and both of those said in their profiles that they might not be able to reply right away due to health reasons.

I just dont understand women.....
Posted: 10/28/2006 9:34:32 PM
Ok folks, women 101,I'm going to get bashed for this but ,here goes. First of all a disclaimer,THE FOLLOWING VIEWS ARE MY OWN ,AND DO NOT APPLY TO ALL WOMEN! The whole beauty industry is based on how women think.Blondes want to be brunettes, brunettes want to be red heads, and so on and so forth.Women with striaght hair want curly hair, curly want straight ,of course. When they change to what they want , they want to change back.I haven't even got to make-up yet,or clothes.Don't try to change them,it's all part of the mystery. Our job as men is to make them feel like they look their best at any given time,no matter what. Now be very carefull with this, because if you like the way they look now, then of course you didn't like the way they looked before. I think it's all a big conspiracy, women are all connected by telepathy to each other. That's why they don't think like men, they don't have too,it's kinda like using " the force " aint it great?

who pays for dinner?
Posted: 10/25/2006 4:38:40 PM
Hockeymom93 where oh where did you find this f*^&%#g loser? My God,I've heard it all now! If a guy asks a girl out , he pays, simple,he pays for all expenses for the date right down to her babysitter if she needs one.If a girl asks a guy out,he pays, simple. If he's interested enough to go out with her , he pays,I don't know how to make it any clearer than that.I have accepted dinner from woman at a restaurant maybe 6 times in my life if it was my birthday and she threatened not to go out with me again if I didn't accept. I honestly can't believe all the cheapskates out there. Don't you think she's doing you a favor even being seen with you? Hockey mom, how, pray tell, did this guy talk you into marrying him?

Kelly's Beach
Posted: 10/25/2006 4:00:37 AM
So sorry for your loss , it's one of life's harder lessons to loose someone no matter how strained your relationship was. You sound very proud of certain aspects of your fathers life so I know you're hurt by his passing. Rest assured he'll live on at the beach and through the fiddles or violins, and in the hearts and minds of people who's lives he's touched. Take Care.

Danes in trouble again... tsk tsk tsk
Posted: 10/14/2006 11:56:04 AM
Over the centuries, how many people have been killed in the name of God? How many more will it take? How are we going to know who's God is the most peace loving? What the hell is wrong with people? We won't even know if there is a god until we're dead anyway, myself,I'm going to try and not know for as long as I possibly can.

Men paying for the sitter ?
Posted: 9/17/2006 8:35:22 PM
I haven't read the whole thread, but my personal belief is yes, the man should pay for the sitter,it shouldn't even be a question. You know she has children,it's part of the package,if you want to take the woman out,it shouldn't even be a question.Don't whine about it,it's the absolute right thing to do.

How Do I get her to break up with me?
Posted: 8/14/2006 7:18:01 PM
Did it ever enter your mind that she might be the one who is trying to get you to breakup with her? It would make perfect sense to me.What is it that you do to annoy her? Stop wasting each others time, call it a day before feelings get hurt even more,in the end things will be better off for the both of you. If that doesn't work, tie a note to a brick and throw it through her window. JUST KIDDING about the brick thing.

Native People
Posted: 7/24/2006 11:00:45 PM
OP , If you've been all over Canada, like you say you have I find it hard to believe you haven't seen one native person. Here are some directions. When traveling in Ontario,on the famous "Trans Canada" pull into the downtown areas of Kenora,Dryden,Thunder Bay,or even Sault Ste Marie, you will see natives or Indians or whatever you like to call these people. If that doesn't work, pay attention to the road signs, they often tell of the Indian reservations you are driving through.Still no luck? Take a short flight to Muskrat Dam or Martin Falls,Landsdowne House ,anywhere just a bit north of the higher population areas. The main thing is to keep your eyes open! I'm pretty sure you don't have a handicap sticker on your truck cause you're blind,or maybe you should. LOL

How do you know to start looking again?
Posted: 6/9/2006 7:16:01 AM
My questions are how do you get engaged at 18 which is way too young, then again at 19 and still to young. You must fall pretty hard, and pretty fast, take some time.Get to know her a bit before you pop the question.Trust will come naturally, and don't forget, she may have been hurt herself a few times and may need some time to trust you as well.Just about everyone has a story, that is unless they married their highschool sweetheart, and are still together. And what the heck is "LD"? You mean to say that in 9yrs a girl hasn't asked you out on a date either? Do you project this really bad attitude or do you have a face only a mother could love? LOL! Well I'm probably wrong on the attitude thing cause for some reason women love that.Anyway , good luck , everyone's not a clone, take your time, the trust will come, and if the next one breaks your heart too,for whatever reason, then find the next one.Just think what it would do to the country music industry if everyone was happy in their relationships. How many people would be out of work, song writters, therapists, lawyers, prison guards, the list goes on and on.Suck it up move on she's out there, your job is to find her and keep her,and I don't mean locked in the basement either!

Physics teacher under fire for gun experiment
Posted: 5/28/2006 6:14:28 AM
I say bravo to this teacher, good job,we could use many more just like him.i'm sure he's not brining lots of rounds to school with him and his students safety is number 1 on his priority list.Physics,as far as I'm concerned,is the most important subject in school because it applies everyday to everyone in almost everything we do.We can't just wrap up the kids in cotton as one person said, they need life experience.Besides "what if" someone spilled some nitro on that cotton, then you'd have gun cotton, now theres something more dangerous than an M 1 or a .357 magnum.
