Women the superior sex
Posted: 11/8/2009 7:10:51 AM
ok ok i stand corrected, there have been females who have made discoveries and invented things. i was wrong and i admit it

men are still the stronger sex though. do you know it was a man who invented the term wife? Washing, Ironing, Fvcking, Etc

i'm not so sure. if there was a war of the sexes i'm pretty sure men would win quite easily. also can anyone name me one single thing that was ever invented by a woman? any great breakthroughs in science or engineering? and pms doesnt count

Overclocking help
Posted: 11/3/2009 3:07:25 PM
thanks for the advice, the bios reported both the cpu temp and the system temp at 20 degrees C. i'm more confident now to keep the overclock as it is

(edit) thanks also, i'll get cpuid now and check. yes i know they seem really low but they are the actual temperatures. ive heard of golden sample cpu's before. maybe ive just got lucky and have bought one . i do have a zalman tunnel flower cpu cooler though

(edit 2) cpuid shows core speed 3213.3 MHz, multiplier x 8, bus speed 401.7, fsb 1606.6 MHz. no indication of temp though

Overclocking help
Posted: 11/3/2009 2:29:03 PM
i have an intel Q6600 quad core processor on an msi p45 platinum motherboard. For the last 8 months i've had it running at 333 x 9 , a nice 3 Ghz . Tonight i decided to push it a little further and upped it to 400 x 8 which is 3.2 Ghz and an fsb of 1600. The thing is ive never upped the voltage on the processor and its now running at 3.2 Ghz 1600 fsb and the idle temperature is only 15 degrees C. i ran a stress test on all cores and it passed without any errors, the maximum temperature the cores reached under 10 threads full stress was 31 degrees C on air cooling!

Surely this cant be right? is my msi monitoring software reporting incorrect temperatures? does anyone know of a more reliable and accurate software for reading the cpu temperature please? i dont want to burn my cpu out because of faulty software

How to tell if a woman is horny??
Posted: 10/23/2009 11:39:49 AM
i believe there's a test kit you can get. a bit like an oil dip stick on a car. you gently slide it inside the woman, through her ear i believe. then you wait 3 minutes and if the stick turns blue you're good to go

come on, seriously, what a silly question for a grown man to ask

Post op transsexuals.

no i couldnt date a post op transexual, but i can sympathise with the condition they have and with their troubled confusion. females are born with 2 connecting branches between the two hemispheres of the brain where male's only have one. they also have a slightly different skeleton. a lot of the time males who feel they should have been born female actually have a female brain and skeleton but male genitals. so you can understand why they'd want to be fully female and also the confusion they must feel when growing up. i really dont think its something that should be ridiculed

wow! i can't believe this thread is still running! ive left pof and come again since i started it, which was aaaaaaaaaages ago.

i noticed a few guys took the opportunity to use this thread to belittle women, and i feel i should apologise to those women as it was me who started the thread. it was never be meant to be used in that way, merely to create awareness and perhaps offer courage to a few.

its also nice to see all the beautiful bbw ladies here, and once i again, you rock

damn, looks like i'm going straight to hell then .................. i think the only passage i know from the bible is 'judge not lest ye be judged', i'm not sure if it's relevant here or not. tattoos have been around forever, some like them some don't. does it really matter?

graphics/video card advice please!
Posted: 10/16/2009 2:11:51 AM
its definitely overheating, like many have said above. 2 ways to solve it, download rivatuner and turn the fan speed up on your graphics card. this will get noisy but it'll solve the problem. option 2 is take the card out, remove the cooler, buy an aftermarket graphics card cooler and fit it yourself (its not that difficult).

personally i'd stick with ati graphics cards

missing ram?
Posted: 10/14/2009 4:21:56 AM
when you look at 'available' ram, you have to take into consideration peripherals that also use your system ram to run. for example, an older graphics card with no on board ram of its own may very well alocate 512 Mb of system ram for its own use. this will be deducted from the available ram shown overall. it puzzles many people why they can install 4 gig of ram into a machine and then only see 3.5 gig available, they blame the os when this is not neccesarily the case

What's an awesome computer to get?
Posted: 10/14/2009 4:12:38 AM
if its actual numbers you want, baring in mind you want the best bang for your buck, i would recommend..........

intel Q6600 quad core processor.... up the core speed to 333 x 9 and you have a 3Ghz quad core that will see you good for a few years

minimum 3 gig of 800 speed 1.8v low latancy DDR2 ram in dual channel mode will give you an easy 1600 fsb

a 500 Gb hard drive is a nice size for gaming, office work, media etc. make sure it's sata ii and a decent speed

if you like gaming then the ATI 4850 is relatively cheap and a good performing graphics card for all dx9 and dx10 games. if you have spare cash you can put 2 of them in crossfire

for a motherboard i like asus or msi brands. get one with a 1600 fsb speed if you can. look for the type of ports it has, e.g number of sata connections, firewire etc.

if you can do it i recommend buying the components and building your own pc, you'll save a ton of cash. if not, just look for the above specs and you won't go far wrong
