Exploring relationship, okay to mesage others?

Im not so sure I buy this. IMO this sounds like a way to troll profiles and keep contacting new people while keeping the one in hand...just in case you find one better.
AND, if my sweetheart was still in contact with his ex'es, it would be a red flag.
I think I would see it as, he is keeping the door open,
just in case 'we' dont make it. Especially if he does this behind my back.

Men givers vs. Women givers

((I am very giving also.
I think the one lady is right, codependent/love too much is almost hard wired into some people. Giving comes easily and we are taught very young to share, but receiving is giving up control, power and admitting we can't do everything ourselves.
I have guarded my whole like to not be one of "those kind of girls" that use and abuse men. I divided everything 50/50 and paid my share. I don't expect to be fed bon-bons by hand. Lately, I realize that many of the men in my life saw that as I was controlling because I couldn't accept help, and I admit I am scared to death to be in debted (in my own mind) to someone when I might feel bad for not being able to return the help or compromised down the road.))
Ok.. Im just thinking out loud here. But, this is a very interesting topic. It made me think.
Ive never really thought of it as being a control freak. Ive been 'in control' since I was about 14 years old, raising my five siblings made me grow up fast. We were raised by a single mother. Dad just wasnt in our lives all that much. So when mom and dad split up. I WAS the man of the family. Ive always needed to be in control. That was my job. I was the boss when Mom was gone, which was all the time.
I was taught we didn't need to take, we had all we needed no matter how meager. Pride I suppose? My fathers family is Blackfoot Native American. They/we raise their/our children to have 'pride'. But, their/our idea of pride was -strong independence-. We Natives have a different code of ethics and a way of life, in general, I would say.. We tend to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders at times. And it makes one mighty tired.
BUT, this story has a great ending. Ive finally met a man that makes me want to share control...share boss-hood. Be a partner in life. I want to give up some of my control with him...Im learning to 'recieve' without feeling its 'taking'.

What?? Maybe you need to read the post I was responding to before you try to insult me. And Im always a lady, why dont you try being a gentleman?
ignorant? Dude, if you can think one step only, I would offer you yo go check your IQ, may be that's why you are over 44 and are having hard time to get even a real plumber license?
What?? Why are you so angry? Are you even READING what we are really saying and responding to?

Its probably kids of someone in office. Which gives you an idea of the shananagans that will be going on in a decade when these kids are adults running for office.

Joe Biden's October Surprise

So, having Congress in his pocket, how long d'ya think it will take Obama to have our country back in control? One year? Two? One term? Two? Or will he f*** things up so bad he'll be a one term wonder?
Tough question. Im not sure I have a solid answer yet. ...there are several things to consider. The Bradley effect, comes into play for one. So we might not even have to worry about this question. For one, government will always be out of control. And, I did not vote for Bush.
#1. money talks..but what does it say? How did Obama get 605 million bucks?
#2. Im concerned about the company he keeps. Will he continue to do so and to what degree. ( Rev. Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Khalidi.... to name a few )
Will he fulfill his promises..How will the economy effect his judgement..
How will he treat others not of color...I have many questions.
I think the jury is still out on this. Lets discuss this one after November 4th.
In the mean time, Im going to work hard, make goals and save every penny I can. Because I will never be able to retire.
Does anyone have any doubts that preparation for the 2012 election will begin around November 5th?
No doubts here...I think its already in play.
Ive already voted for this election.

But what disturbs me more is Pelosi. She'll be running around the neighborhood like a loose pit bull chasing a steak on the end of a stick.
oh yeah.. back to reality here. Maybe we 'fear' the unknown? or maybe its her 'new way of thinking' ? ...and why do you call it paranoia?
We are watching a Re-education process being formulated and practiced on a diversity of levels. There is a “new thing” happening, a global community is being shaped where there are no moral absolutes and it is therefore “prejudice” to suggest that anyone’s point of view might be right and another’s wrong. There must be agreement that there are no absolutes, for us to achieve global unity.
The New Age wants to have all things incorporated in its wholistic approach to life. The winds are blowing with new ways of thinking, (or not thinking to be exact).

find it hilarious that You people are arguing about this issue, when the real "rich" people, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and even Donald Trump has had nothing to say in the matter..... and actually some of them actually APPROVE the measure...!!!You know, I did some research and I could not find a rich guy that was against it... Well, NO,!!,... let me clarifiy that. THERE WAS ONE GUY... The only one that I could find... his name..??? John McCain... Rings a bell...??? Hello, anyone there..??
I feel its funny our opinion has to line up with what 'You people" believe in or its not believable that we believe that way therefore making it unbelievable and hilarious.
Its called an opinion.
You know what I do find hilarious ? The fact that "You people" want other peoples money because you don't feel you have enough and you want more ....that's somewhat on the jealous and greedy way of thinking, don't you think?
There is no way Id walk over to you and put my hand in your pocket to take your change when I had worked for my own change. That doesn't compute. Maybe Im missing something somewhere....
Joe the plumber works as a plumber. He acknowledges he doesn't have a plumber's license, but said he didn't need one because he works for someone else at a company that does residential work. What am I missing here?

I also appreciate all my respectful sparing partners.
I have to echo "readyforsomethingfun" and his opinions. (well thought out post by the way. I applaud you)
I just don't feel comfortable with the complete control of government by the democrats.
Total Democratic control dis~unifys us. It will be "Unchecked Liberism" (if thats a phrase) and I feel that's an unacceptable 'change'.
Obama is too far left for me to be comfortable with. But, on the other hand, if O. does win, I feel he will be Cautious. He isnt crazy and he has run a brilliant campain. The man is intelligent, and in the end, I feel he will govern more to the center, trying to keep us all happy.
I don't want anyone to be hurt or harmed by any of the things I've said on this board. But, Im as passionate about politics as much as the next man/woman., and I feel my opinion counts no matter how crazy, below the belt, and insulting you guys get. I wont back down.
It's been fun debating and I'm going to miss it.
Im sure I'll see you all in the year 1212.

Definitely whoever wins, we all should hope for success because do we ever need it now.
Then in 4 years we all could collectively get our act together and vote Ron Paul!
One saying from the good old days we all need to hold dear to our hearts... United we stand, divided we fall. We need to always remember to disagree with a common goal and we can just call each other names because it's fun.
Ditto !!
I am totally...all about fun. So, let the fun begin !!!!
I will have to get back with you on the Ron Paul thing. Let me go get some references...
and when do I get to call you "butt~head" ........... Darlin' ?
(I sure hope youre smiling)
I honestly believe. that whomever becomes President, will , at the end of the coming 4 years, may regret having done so. I just hope Americans won't have to regret it too.
and I have to reiterate...Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. All that glitters is not gold.
In case I don't catch any of you until the election is over, I just want to say Love, Peace and God Bless you all.
I know we have had our differences ,but at the end of the day, we are all humans trying to do, what is best for our families and trying to get by ,with whatever we have.
Right Back atcha ..
Love, Peace and God Bless you all.
See you on the other side.

Ive read that:
While Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama “has tried to push his origins into the background, his ‘Islamic roots’ have won him a place in many Arabs’ hearts.”
That’s the observation of Iranian-born commentator Amir Taheri, whose column in Tuesday’s New York Post notes that many Arabs and other Muslims see Obama as “one of them.”
Is no one putting this puzzle together yet?

A company believes that Obama will win. Sooo they plan to up the product cost 8-16% to cover that and then lay off 25 employees to make up the loss in product sales.
I see dark days ahead, my friend.
Hey, can we impeach Obama if we come to our senses, before he gets a good hold on things?

Can you see those two as action figures. Biden ..you pull the string and he contracts " foot in mouth" disease and says something way off the wall. Obamaman would be in his super hero suit able to part the water in the bath tub. What a hoot. I'd buy that idea.

REDD... wow MA'AM... do you only receive or ACCEPT ONE news source?Because you work TWO JOBS, .....
Sometimes its safe not to assume. Im not taking from one source. Very recently Obama has said that if you make less that $200,000, your taxes won't go up. The story keeps changing.
I read lots of information and this is my understanding.
30% of Republicans say there should be a more even distribution of money and wealth, compared to 60% of independents and an overwhelming majority of 84% of Democrats.
The sentiment that money and wealth should be more evenly distributed does not address the issue of exactly how this objective would be achieved. One of the more contentious points on the presidential campaign trail in recent weeks has been McCain's continuing assertion that Obama's tax plan, which would involve higher taxes for high-income families, is "redistributionist," with some McCain supporters going so far as to argue that Obama's tax plans would be "socialist." These disputes focus on the longtime argument in economic and political philosophy over government's ideal role, if any, in attempting to redistribute money and wealth through the use of taxes.

I work sometimes double shifts and two jobs..I work very hard for my nickel ninety eight. I don't mind helping, but I'll be darned if I want someone stealing or taking, what I worked hard for and dare to call it 'sharing'. At least ask my permission. This redistributing stuff should be nicknamed, 'The Butt Effect".. Its stealing what I worked my butt off for and giving it to the ones that just wanna sit on their butt and take......and it ticks me off.
Just my view on that subject.

Heres where we do our best leg work.
Just days before the hare is supposedly to win the race, the McTortoise saunters up to the finish line. And the Winner Is....McTortoise by a hair !! (and the crowd cheers)
The race between McTortoise and Junior has tightened considerably, with Obama now leading McCain by about 3 points ..
Last week, Obama held a 49 percent to 40 percent lead over McTortoise, but changes in several swing states has narrowed the margin the junior senator from Illinois has over McCain.
Giddy up.......

My choosing to not vote for McCain has little to do with him as I do respect and like him, but besides the policies that we see not working now
I feel his party
has lost it's way and the best chance for it to find it's way again is to realize that this current radical departure from actual Conservative ideals is why they lost prominence in D.C. and stand to lose all significance nationally.
You feel HIS party? You mean the republican party? I thought you were Republican. Did I misunderstand something? or did I read that wrong..
Just another in a myriad of examples of why I feel embarrassment to admit I'm a Republican to others. Michele said she's "doing ok. Up and down" and a Republican will get "all better now" out of that to perpetuate and justify continued soulless desperate stabs at some sinister conspiracy.
and I find it curious that you're dramatically upset because of that. Usually a true Republican does not get offended that easily, this surprises me.
'doing ok' and 'all better now', have little differences, why are you so angry? Soulless desperate stabs? Isnt that a bit dramatic? An over reaction maybe? I dont understand you accusing me of being soulless and desperate because of that one sentence. My making the assumption he had tasks other than visiting his grandmother is my opinion and isnt a stab of any kind. Im saying flat out, he seemed to have gotten his birth certificate blocked from public view.. now why is that do you suppose? Thats not a stab, nor perpetuus its just a simple question.

You may not think that McCain deserves to be president because he served, but you cant say it isnt a big plus as being experience the commander of the nations military forces could use. What experience does Obama have in that arena? Ummmmm, Zero? It only makes sense to me, McCain would be more qualified to run than a man who has zero time in the service. Especially since 911.
It isnt a big plus! This man has a hammer and sees every problem as a nail. What we really need is an even tempered person to rule, not one who is still trying to come home with honor from Viet Nam.
Thats your opinion and youre welcome to it. I guess thats why you're on the left of me, we have different opinions. We will just have to agree to disagree.
Actually I think thats McCains personality 'cause he's just Mavericky that way...and personally I like my men to have more of a backbone and not be so naive as to want to sit down to a tea party with the enemy that hates our guts and dont care what we have to say. Just my opinion, mind ya.

Do the foot work yourself. I spell it 'GOOGLE'. There are several links there with the same information with rags more credible, if you'd prefer.
No, he didn't go to see his Grandmother as her health declines. Nope... can't be that and we'll still spit on her to perpetuate more of the boogeyman theories.

I think Biden's lips were looser than they should be, and he knows more than he's letting on. They're setting us up for something.
With Biden on your side, who needs enemies ?

Also in 1995, the first organizing meeting for Obama's state senatorial campaign reportedly was held in Ayers's apartment. In a widely circulated article, WND first reported Obama served on the board of the Wood's Fund, a liberal Chicago nonprofit, alongside Ayers from 1999 to Dec. 11, 2002, according to the Fund's website. Tax filings showed Obama received compensation of $6,000 per year for his service in 1999 and 2000.
The "Friends of Barack Obama" campaign fund lists a $200 campaign contribution from Ayers April 2, 2001.
The two appeared together as speakers at several public events. The more I google Obama, the more I discover what he isnt saying speaks louder than what he IS saying.
Yes, we are being set up for something.

just because he served DOES NOT MEAN he DESERVES TO BE PRESIDENT!! PERIOD!
A commander-in-chief is the commander of a nation's military forces or significant element of those forces.
As a practical term it refers to the military competencies that reside in a nation-state's executive, head of state or government. Often, a given country's commander-in-chief need not be or have been a commissioned officer or even a veteran, and it is by this legal statute that civilian control of the military is realized in states where it is constitutionally required.

Another reason a military history is important:
“Ayers was a terrorist. Bernardine Dohrn was a terrorist. Ayers has never offered one word of apology — he glories in it, thinks it’s terrific. And that to me is not what I would call acceptable or mainstream behavior,” said Dan Polsby, a former law professor at Northwestern who is now dean of George Mason University Law School. “If Obama takes a different view on that — well, OK, that’s data about Obama.”

Barack Obama has repeatedly denied any adult relationship
with domestic terrorists and Weather Underground founders
William Ayers and Bernadine Dorn. But did you know that
Barack Obama’s political career as an Illinois State
Senator was launched in the living room of William Ayers?
Did you also know that beyond their mutual work serving
together on boards and education initiatives in Illinois,
that Barack Obama endorsed William Ayers’ book (1997)
entitled, “A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court.”
In a Chicago Tribune review of Ayers’ book, dated December 21, 1997,
Obama called Ayers’ book, “A searing and timely account of the juvenile
court system, and the courageous individuals who rescue hope from despair.”
That was 1997 ! Obama was an Illinois State Senator at the
time. He was associating with William Ayers when he was at
least 36 years old, not 8 like he would like for you to believe!

Another reason a military history is important:
Joe Biden, warned Democrat supporters at a Seattle fundraising
event of an eminent “international crisis” that will be thrust upon our nation
within six months of Barack Obama’s assumption of the US presidency!
He told those attending the fundraiser, “Watch, we’re
gonna have an international crisis, to test the mettle of
this guy.” He continued, “I can give you at least four
or five scenarios from where it might originate. And he’s
gonna need help.

(McCain)
~He does not know the meaning of quit ! ~
this is exactly why Im on his side.
Why SHOULD he quit. If Hillary had the gonads to continue on, why isnt it ok and honorable if McCain has the gonads? I applaud people that arent quiters.
I think McCain out-gonads Obama by far, in that arena.

A 'hero' is often a matter of perspective. In this way, there are those who believe that Obama's willingness/passion for putting his feet on the ground and doing the physical work of reclaiming communities makes him a hero in their eyes. And, who are we to disagree with them?
Say it aint so....You can not possibly mean to compare the two with each other in terms of the american 'hero' as the two being equal on that plane? Very interesting.

Just a thought, I also found it some what interesting that the ones complaining about my bigot comment actually responded. If your not a bigot, why would you respond and take offense?
That made me laugh. I find it somewhat interesting that you would accuse us of being guilty because we responded.
That's what forums are for. You/I/We say something, I/you/we respond to it.
I/you/we say something you/we/I, respond......get it?
For one, I'm not complaining, I'm responding to an untruth, as I see it.
For two, I responded because I TOOK offense. Not because I was guilty of anything.
For three, as I see it, you have no basis to say those things. They aren't true.
Like you guys always tell us........I want proof of what you say.

BOY the BIGOTRY by some of you is soooo OBVIOUS and sad! What really strikes me is all the people so against Obama have yet to give good solid reasons as to why John McCain is soooo much better.
the best and most solid reason I give is Because McCain ISNT Obama.
And because I dont want to be on your/his side does NOT make me a bigot. That way of thinking is very unreasonable..Im so tired of people using the race card..I never remember there are color differences until YOU mention it. Whats up with that?
If people get angry, because a reporter reports the color of the perpertrator, then they are angry for nothing. Yes if a white man did it say so. If a red man did it say so. For once I agree with harliegirl

I have just GOT to ask this.
Why isnt anyone dragging up dirt on Biden? You cant tell me there isnt anything to rag him about. Maybe we can google how much he spends on his underware, what brand his toothpaste is and where he buys his hair spray.
We can get just as petty, I betcha.
think about the $700 BILLION DOLLAR Bailout.
Nooooooo, dont make me. It makes me hot under the collar to think about that.

it just amazes me how Obama supporters are totally blind to Obama's numerous flaws.
and yet.. we agree once more.
See? Im not such a bad person after all..
I have voiced before, I dont go along with all of what McCain believes in...Im just voting for the lesser of the two evils, as I see it.
twisted? conspiracy? What are you saying? Are these not truths?
The individual events are true, I just don't buy the neocon right-wing spin. Which NoBama blog did you cut and paste that from?
Oh, I see what youre saying. Like I said at the very beginning, I got that in an email this morning. I didnt get it from a site.

That you could possible understand it ~ I think it's well beyond you to understand such things~ you hold nothing but GOP calloused indeference and would eat your own young. . I can't imaging any art form of grace that would lend itself to your skills. ~ The American people have rejected your ideas and mindset, no one listens to you anymore ~ saved for the ones infected by your posion. ~
you're crossing the line buddy.
