Posted: 6/1/2006 2:41:03 AM i split with my ex because we lived too far away and both worked long hours so spending time with each other was hard. we never argued about it, the phone and msn, mics and webcams were great but took its toll and he split with me. I was gutted and after about 3 weeks of leaving the house he came to see me and said he still loved me and was feeling just as bad as me so we decided to stay friends, hes my best friend and we thought it would work. it didnt, after maybe a month he said knowing that i was now single and the thought of me being with someone else was too much for him. He called off the friendship and said it would be easier for us both in time. That was a few months ago now and i love him just as much now as i ever did, i miss him so much but i dont think you can stay friends with an ex you still love.  Jaffa Joined: 4/17/2006 Msg: 6 (view)   how long does it take? Posted: 4/24/2006 2:12:50 AM i really dont think photos should be thrown out, if you took the time to take a picture, must have meant something. but then again does depend on the ex if you keep photos of them. ive got photos of ex boyfriend that i have kept in a box and put away. but my recent ex i burnt every single picture i had of him, hes not worth even remembering, he made my life hell and still is so i dont want to remember the time we spent togther  Jaffa Joined: 4/17/2006 Msg: 26 (view)   Losing a loved one to death Posted: 4/22/2006 5:54:24 AM i lost my mum when i was 18 months, cant remember her but have photos and many stories about her. my dad bought me and my 4 brothers up on his own. hes 56 now and only remarried 2 years ago. he said he was so in love with my mum he wasnt interested in anyone else and the way he managed to live was to make sure he bought us up as well as he could. you never get over something like that but doing something positive helps. xxx   Show ALL Forums
