Do I tell guys I may be about to file a bankrupcy?
Posted: 12/8/2011 11:40:25 AM
How would that be taken if I tell them I may be filing bankruptcy very quickly here?
On a first date, 2nd, or maybe wait a month or two? Which makes more sense, or might be the kindest thing? How is bankrupcy seen in dating?

Are Some guys getting dates all over the place?

OMG, that is so funny and is the opposite of what I'm looking for. Maybe they should put a physical type that say, "has no abs."

Confused? What to say, angry over circumstances?
Posted: 11/28/2011 5:40:42 PM
So if you ended up starting to really get over an x, and then suddenly get thrust into a job right by them, so you have to see them on the way to work on the same block or something? How would you handle it? I wanted to marry him, he's only wanting FWB, I won't even do that because it's too painful. Now well, I'm confused and have to see this person? I got a temp job for christmas and it turns out to be directly across from his work? I want to run like hell, and am basically praying the temp company comes u with a random excuse regarding the company not wanting as many temps or something because they are staying very slow???
It's easy in a circumstance to want to run, but I've not worked in 14 months, and this job only goes 3 more weeks.... I just didn't think I could get into such a strange situation, it's not like it's avery small town I'm living in or anything. And the temp job company is 20 miles away from our work locations?

False teeth are the least of many women's problems when it comes to dating men. Given they can have so many behavior problems, drinking, drugging, cheating, etc....

Do women just go for guys with six pacs?
Posted: 11/24/2011 6:20:17 PM
I see chubby teenage boys and young men on busses with serious wives and girlfriends all of the time. It's a major unrealistic assumption around the tiny percentage of the population that you are making that those are really the most desirable men. I think men who spend too much time at the gym might be developing the only skill/attribute they have which is not that appealing to me.

the Meet Me feature...what do you think of it?
Posted: 11/24/2011 6:17:20 PM
I'm rarely in any way attracted to any men who click meet me and I get a message sent to my email. I have all but given up on opening those messages at all. *Chemistry seems so unique and in the eye of the beholder.* I'm not finding that part of the site effective for dating.

Is saying you're cold sometimes a trick to get close?
Posted: 11/24/2011 6:15:22 PM
If I don't like the guy, I'd not kiss him, but it's also possible a girl could feels he owes you something because you are trying to keep her warm.

What does a Woman mean by???
Posted: 11/18/2011 10:14:59 PM
She wants you to work for her. But I think she's gone too far and is actually playing power and codependent like games. She may be a "borderline personality disordered" person. I'd look up those characteristics.

I personally use the let's just be friends line when I think it's kinder than saying(or I'm avoiding guilting myself for saying), "I'd rather not bother calling or seeing you ever again," but usually I don't all or bother contacting them ever again anyway.

Home Nudity?
Posted: 11/18/2011 9:56:40 PM
I once worked where they made doughnuts. For the first few days I found it cool to get the rejects and take them home by the box full to eat. But after a while it was all sugar, coloring, and flour in different mixes. I was satiated..................... need I say more. I've never wanted doughnuts the same way since.

advantages of casual sex vs. premarital abstinence
Posted: 11/18/2011 9:42:47 PM
My sister raised her son as if it were the 1950's. I'm so sad, he's ill equipped to date in this modern world, he's intimidated by a girl who tries to rub her body against him in the slightest during a dance. He is ashamed and repelled by what should be a great gift to humanity and will be all confused over it I bet his whole adult life. As our other family said, he may either marry to have any at all, and marry young, even someone he barely knows, just so it's social acceptable for his parents to even try it !!!! Or he may become the 40 year old virgin.....So sad, when the stigmas of shame over something that makes children and brings one of the biggest joys to a person's life that are largely instigated by the Catholic/Roman/Protestant churches still control so much of the world.

Do women think nice guys are bad in bed?
Posted: 11/18/2011 9:19:31 PM
I had a nice guy once when I was not over my x, and we didn't exactly get to a home run, but from what I did experience, he was damn awesome in bed. I miss him sometimes..

What to do when your libido goes out the window
Posted: 11/18/2011 9:17:33 PM
In Chinese medicine if your yang energy, or Qi(essence in your body) is lacking, you may lose it. Try eating more peppers, ginger, cinnamon, fennel, and wasabi in your meals.

Hum? Is there a flirting section on this site?
Posted: 11/18/2011 9:15:03 PM
I'm confused this is a dating site, but in the forum there is no actual flirting forum. *cough, cough* Can I vote that one gets set up? Maybe, a flirting for F w/ F, Fw M, M w M or something if there are bisexuals, as I've seen some women listing wanting women and coming up on my searches. And I wish we had a live chat/flirt group 24 hours a day as well.
No confusion. There are 2 sections to POF, one is the
POF Dating Site
and the other which you are in now are
The Plentyoffish Forums
Read The Following

Detailed Forum Posting Rules
There is only one flirting section and that's using your
POF eMail
or
POF Instant Messenger
, or any of the
features
on the Dating Site - the forums are not for flirting or chatting, but rather for discussion. (See rules above)
If you require answers to how the site works - go to the

We've only been talking about 7 days, so he went silent almost as soon as we set the date and time 3 days ago.
I found we were both very into the same sorts of studies in general and were both intellectual, but he might be scared off by some of my spiritual studies, and he said he was solidly in belief of a Christian Tri-whatever it is, Body Spirit, etc.... and I admitted I do not follow that stuff at all anymore or believe in it. Maybe I'll just refocus on non-religious types that are for sure non-religious, as I think he said he was non-religious and then brought that up almost immediatly when we spoke.

The color of blue jeans matters. If you put a dark colored shirt with a pale colored blue jeans it won't match.
If they are middle of the road blue jeans, you can usually get away with just about any color.
I'd just avoid all stripes and concert t-shirts. Stick with polos, plain decent T-s or Button down dress shirts(not PLAID).

I'm actually pretty shy myself. I do find it difficult to act open towards a guy so he gets a hint.
If I'm really desperate I just start babbling small talk or ask them the time.

Testimonials on the bottoms of profiles?
Posted: 11/11/2011 10:12:35 AM
So I see a testimonial on a profile, and well, all I can think is she's likely an x. And I don't want any references to nor photos to see of women's he's slept with before me. Its' actually a turn off. Now if I knew she was his best friend wife, that would be another story.
What would you think if you saw male testimonials below a girls ad?

Should I give him-a no show a piece of my mind?
Posted: 11/10/2011 3:17:16 PM
I met someone and he stood me up.
I've not blocked him. Would think it's appropriate to give him a piece of my mind?
At least say, I think your choice of behavior was very rude!
Clearly I'm frustrated and angry, I then cancelled out on someone else because I don't want game players in my life wright now and it's like he dashed my hopes and I want to just quit dating for a while and I just hid my profile thinking I'll give up and take a month off over getting my hopes up and just getting let down by creeps like him or other weird game players who are clearly not able to do any kind of relationship but are on this site anyway????

Do guys do FWB exclusive with girls?
Posted: 11/7/2011 5:57:30 PM
First, I know all about the whole Communism stuff, hilarious to have it brought up here.
Second, what if I found a FWB and we enjoyed ourselves for a year, no one would get hurt.
Who said it would have to be super temp?
I tried this with a roommate and he morphed into wanting super serious commitment and was a great guy but there were history issues of his past behavior(like being a dead beat daddy) I wouldn't live with. I think it's a sexual double standard to expect a girl to sit around just using her vibe for months on end cause Mr. commitment isn't around! It's 2011 and women now have the right to enjoy and persue sexual relationship and have their needs truly met in or out of a typical romance!

I'm ideally willing to do an ibetween relationship exclusive FWB sitatuation. Should I say it openly on my site? Will me be so much less likely to committ to this sort of thing? Or do you think I'd mostly get players who are just seeking lots of Casual Sex?
I guess I'm just trying to be careful about trusting so I don't get into a jam if I try it.

We had a long chat about this kind of guy just the other day, it's on another thread.
This is a form of a player, I won't tolerate! If they have inappropriate boundaries with other women who only supposed to be friends, they have i-n-n-a-p-r-o-p-r-i-a-t-e boundaries, you won't be the only woman ever in their life, this is how they roll and you mise well roll on out and find a better guy right now.

You said, Why not say " Im looking for a stylish guy, takes pride in his appearance, well groomed, likes manicures and pedicure and his idea of fashion isnt wearing a Nirvana or Stones T-shirt with Levi jeans and pumped up kicks?
Much more what I'm looking for. Honestly jeans are fine, the rediculous t-shirts are OUT.

I guess I want a guy to lean way into the metrosexual style of living, so not sure I'll word that but I will for the future. I'm not into facial hair, dirty clothes, men who work on cars for a living(I'm chemically sensitive). I like to talk, to be with men who are really talkers and intellectual! Cerebral types!

Guys Asking for Exessive Photos?
Posted: 10/25/2011 12:57:31 PM
So when men respond to my ad I frequently get this guy...
Guy X: Hello, how are you, do you have a photo?
(photos is in in ad, he's already seen full body shot in fancy party dress)
Me: Well, why don't we meet and get to know one another?
Guy: Sure maybe soon, um....Can I see more photos of you first?
*At this point I quit and block them and never talk to them again.
Is he
A. Looking for porn shots to use and wouldn't meet me anyway?
B. Fearful that at some point one of the shots will show I'm actually a BBW, which I am NOT in real life....
Anyone?

I'm not sure what message I'm getting across here in my profile to guys. Can a few interpret it for me from their perspectives? I just changed it from seeking long-term to just dating and didn't really rewrite it to focus just on having a good time. But I'm no longer(after so many failures to find men I'm super compatible on here) expecting to find the love of my life here. I am happy if I just date for entertainment purposes at this point. Maybe I should say that outright, I don't know.
