What happened to the Lindy Hop?

Hey everyone. Local dancer here in Vancouver BC. Just wondering what ever happened to Lindy Hop Swing? I used to be able to go almost anywhere and find it, or at least people that did it..... Now its harder to find than a needle in a haystack! (mind the old quote) Are there any of us Lindy hoppers still out there?

If you want a good time and a large dance floor, especially for spinning etc.... Go to boone County. Ya they don't have as much seating as some places but if you love to dance you don't really need to sit too much there anyways lol

If you go to boone county on thursday nights for the 2-step lessons, you can bring a partner or they can set you up with someone there. AND....If you make a mistake, its ok. Nobody there judges anyone on their dancing capabilites, everyone just goes there to have fun. So as long as you have fun dancing, you'll do fine.

Hey jojobeans, Roosters is ok but if you wanna learn how to really 2-step/triple step/cha-cha or anything else like that, you should really come to boone county in coquitlam. Way more fun and allot less of a meat market. Thats the main reason I don't go to roosters. Thursdays from 8:30 - 9:30pm are free (with a food band donation) 2 - step lessons and wed's are West-Coast Swing lessons ($5) taught by a 3 time world champion. So come on down to boone county!

Hey everyone, Just looking for more people that are interested in country dancing. Everyone from professionals to the ones who just wanna learn. If you love to dance and have a great time doing it, IM me and I'll let you know where the best spots are to go and which nights not to go where.
I look forward to see all of you on the dance floor soon.
*I am also more than willing to teach anyone that would like to learn to 2-step/triple/cha-cha or west-coast swing.
