"Regular New York"? We here in Western New York - Buffalo, Niagara Falls, all that - we feel like this is regular New York too. New York City, now that's a way different story.

Heidi - I don't know about that turkey business - originally, we were going to have the party Thanksgiving weekend but people had overbooked November, so we were unable to do it that weekend. Not sure what he is going to surprise us with! But we will have a great time.

It's going to be a holly jolly party at Slick Willies on December 13. The kick off is at 1:00 p.m. Rudy is going to regale us with food [real food!] and specials. The game will be the Bills vs Kansas City. Slick Willies is located at 2316 Niagara Falls Boulevard Tonawanda, New York 14150 It's near the Wal-Mart, Y'all - be there! As always, there will be no cover charge and plenty of parking. Nikki will again be my co-host.

Exactly what Sharzi said. And get this: I was getting just about NO emails until I posted in my headliner that I was UNAVAILABLE. Why would you go after a woman who posts UNAVAILABLE? Yet I have gotten more emails since I posted that than I ever got in the three years before. And on another thing Sharzi said - why email us if you haven't even read our profiles? You could save yourselves a lot of humiliation if you would just READ. In some of your emails, you clearly show that there was no way you could have read the profile. And also - the typical "form" email when prospecting a person. Geez, like we don't have the brain to tell a canned prospect letter that gets sent blanket to about 50 women? I love guys - I do. And I don't go in for the "all men are the same" maxim, but there really are a great many that do the same behaviors [women as well]. And do NOT believe that these gals are getting "hundreds of emails" - that's just ridiculous and braggadocio. Women are just as good at exaggerating as men are. It's not gender specific. Oh and OP - yes, many of the same people are on here AND the pay sites. Go figure - why pay for what you can get FREE?

Assuming that over 100 people are coming to the party, I would seriously like to know where we are all going to park our cars? It has been my experience that parking is very very difficult on Elmwood. Any thoughts?

Even though the Bills got there booties in a sling, the party was great. I'm always delighted that so many of you come out and have such a good time. the "coffee date" is one of those things being given an unfair slam. For all intents and purposes, you are meeting a STRANGER - someone you do not truly know. it should be safe, sane, consensual and PUBLIC. You could be meeting the Boston Strangler. Meeting anyplace public where a person can feel unthreatened if things take a wrong turn is a necessary thing, whether it's for coffee, ice cream or a freakin McDonalds. I agree with the above posters - it isn't a date, it is a first contact to determine if yall even want to date. Mixing that with booze is just asking for problems and impaired judgment. I have had some nice first meets and some disasters where I was never so glad in my life that it was "just coffee" to suffer through. And I am very aware that I am not everyone's cup of tea either - fortunately, I had the good fortune to have a pleasant parting of the ways with someone who was not in the slightest interested in me either - nice conversation, thank you for coming and sayonara.

You can get as dressed up as you wish - although it may be difficult to dance with glass slippers, eh? At the first fancy fling, some were dressed just this side of semi-formal; others were dressed more casually. This is just a way to get as dolled up as you wish without feeling over dressed. And getting super fancy is not a requirement, either -

In the meantime, let's have a POSITIVE thread here. Everyone - anyone - is welcome at any POF event whether I am the host or Dubs or Richie or whomever. I host these events because I am requested to do so by other PoF'ers. It has been my pleasure to do so.
