People get conceptions about people when they've been chatting on line or talking on the phone. Once you meet face to face I think they sometimes get disappointed because the reality doesn't live up to the fantasy. That's just the way things are. I've ran into women and we seemed to hit it off pretty good. I give them my phone number and tell them to give me a call sometime if they want to hang out or something and I never hear from them. I try not to take it personally. I just figure I'm not their cup of tea. (Although it doesn't do much for my self esteem ) That's just the way it goes. Anyways, his behavior seems a bit rude and that should be a warning sign. Move on. The right guy is out there somewhere. You just have to keep looking. Don't give up.

Being a bit on the short side, (5'6") I don't usually send replies to women over 5'6", assuming most women are looking for guys taller than them. I'd be interested in hearing some of the womens opinions on this. The height thing doesn't bother me but it seems even the tiny women are looking for guys 5'10" and taller.

I think they can be friends without sex. The problem is that once you really get to like the woman, you want to have sex. I made the mistake of getting involved with a close friend several years ago and we decided that as friends, we could share some recreational sex together just for fun. I kind of feel the same way about women. A lot of women seem to let themselves go after a certain age. My problem isn't so much the looks. It just seems I'm a lot more active than women my age and I don't think many of them could keep up with my activities. I do agree with you that a lot of men let themselves go also. Being recently widowed, I realized that I neglected myself a bit after 30 years of marrige. I can't do much about my looks or height but I did realize that losing a few pounds and hitting the gym occasionally definetly makes a difference. I also think we preceive ourslves differently than other people see us. I'd love to date a 20 or 30 year old just because they look so good but unless I find a women who has an "old guy" fetish, that ain't happening.

NO! I have to intention of living without sex, even if I'm the only partner I have.
