I personally really like the shaved look on most guys provided they have a nicely shaped head without tatts. I think it's sexy. I've even seen a few women with it done also but they've left a shadow of hair. I'd like to try it myself but I'm too chicken. Maybe someday for Cops for Cancer. That would be a good excuse. I'd rather see the shave look than long greasy hair that some guys have.

is it ok to wear a ring worn by another woman?
Posted:

That's great that he was honest with you. But I don't understand why you'd even want to wear it after another woman has worn it even though it was originally meant for you.

what is everyones opin on tattoos?
Posted:

I have two tatoos and I'm 60 and have had them for many years. They are small and discrete and well hidden. They cannot be seen even if I'm in shorts and a tank as I didn't want them to become a topic of conversation especially as I grow older. I like tatoos on men as long as they're not gawdy and all over the body. Dainty ones on women look ok as far as I'm concerned. Each to their own I guess.....it's a fad that doesn't seem to be dying off. And I don't think that tatoos depict (sp?) who we are. We who have them do so for a reason I guess. I just don't remember what my reason was.

Why do some women do this?
Posted:
3/27/2007 7:54:21 AM
Oh come on....she told Squiggy that she was interested in getting together again and has obviously changed her mind. It's a total last of respect on her part by totally ignoring him and not telling him so. Who would want someone anyways if the can't communicate their true feelings? Isn't it all about communication and respect isn't it? Move on Squiggy....she not good enough for you.

Hey bigpapag I can help you out as well with hosting for a bit if you like. I've hosted a few fashion shows in the past so I might still have some gift of the gab left so to speak. Although I'm sure this is a lot different. Will be glad to help though but you have to save me a dance.....fair is fair
p.s. My daughter will be visiting from Victoria....is it ok if I bring her? She would love to come and join us

How Can We Overcome Arbitrary Age Limits on Relationships?
Posted:
12/3/2006 9:59:29 PM
We all have our age limits I think. But I think it also depends on how much common ground, interests there is between two people. I prefer men somewhat younger as I can usually relate to them better than men my age or older for some reason. I was once in a relationship for 7 yrs with someone 15 yrs younger. We had lots of common interests and it worked for us......so some are thinking what happened then? Long story. We are still friends.

When do you tell your girlfriend that you just got yourself a ton of money...
Posted:
10/29/2006 1:40:36 PM
personally.....I wouldn't tell her at all. What if it gets to the point where you both decide that you might want to get married? You'd never know for sure if she really wanted you for you or your money. Let it go. To me that would be a good test. But that's just me.

One can't become smart til they're done being stupid. It was a favourite saying of my dads. Wonder if he was trying to tell me something. I find myself using it a lot also sometimes. It is oh so true though.

Should a woman expect a friendship ring within 6 months if a man is serious?
Posted:
10/11/2006 12:23:43 PM
The other thing I'd like to know is what should the woman be giving ME after 6 months?
When I saw this I howled. Good for you Swiftone. A friendship ring....hmmm....I had never even heard of that until a couple of yrs. ago. And who even knows after six months if it's the real thing or not. So why should a ring be expected so soon. I for one love jewellry and wear lots of it sometimes....but I buy my own.

Sounds like fun....wish I could do it. Just a heads up for you all though. I heard on the news a week or two ago that there has been so much traffic on the grind this summer that it is wearing down and giving way in some spots. Just be careful and keep your eyes open while your sweating away there. Take care all of you.

Can I set up a small table ...say at the entrance by the stairs and as people show up I can welcome them and give them a name tag to wear?..as you walk up the stairs there is a room full of junk if I remember ..that would be a good place for the table..and get people away from the stairs..what do you think???? Everyone? I will volunteer the tags and also the time to welcome ...maybe a lady would volunteer also or 2-3 to spell off each other..1 other question ....real names or POF names? What do you think?
Just offering my opinion here......I think it's a good idea Brian10. After all I'm sure we will be telling everyone our names once we're there anyways. Not that we'll remember them all. I know I won't. The age thingy...
I don't have a problem giving my name. Does anyone else? This is gonna be soooo much fun. Can't wait. Count down is on.

I'm Not Attracted To Men My Age....
Posted:
6/13/2006 9:26:24 PM
Oh my...I feared that this thread would eventually show up. In this day and age, a lot of men are in better shape in their 40s then they were in their thirties.
"For most part any man over 35 is pretty well past it"
I will hit 50 in a few years and I am seriously thinking of shooting myself.
God, some people are funny in here.
OMG.....please don't shoot yourself. What a waste that would be. Your a whole lot to good lookin.

Have you loved and lost?

chrissy...you may never get the proper good-bye your looking for. I'm in the same boat as you. I was with someone for 7 yrs. He moved away for fire-fighter training in a small town in Alberta. We commuted back and forth a few times. We talked marriage also. He used to talk about how lonely it was there and then I got an e-mail saying he had gotten someone pregnant and was going to marry her. He even sent another e-mail after they had gotten married. It hurt so bad and still does....that was almost 5 yrs ago now. I learned that you can't just UNLOVE someone. It does get better with time though. At least now I'm ready to move on and someone else will take his place someday. Your obviously ready to move on also or you wouldn't be on here I don't think. good luck to you

I'm Not Attracted To Men My Age....

I'm not attracted to men my age either. Mainly because I find them boring. Most of them don't seem to have any energy or our likes aren't the same. But I definitely have to agree with eagles4fun. I think it all evens out. There are both men and women who tend to let themselves go array after a certain age. But there are also those that don't. Hair growing odd places??? OMG.....happens to both sexes
