A Barn By Any Other Name...

When I look into this mirror
The tears swell in my eyes
The reality I've come to know
I've just now realized
For years and years I've searched for her
And she was no where to be found
And as I spilled my heart to them
They poured it on the ground
Now that I've come on this trip I see what I've been praying for
A girl with so much beauty that I could just adore
But she is so far away from me
It's just a foolish thought
That there would ever be a chance for me
But my heart is finally caught
So I will go about my way
But I will never forget this day
that the Lord showed me
There are still Angels

I am a soldier on the border of Kuwait
I am a soldier only God knows my fate
I am a sailor on the sea where I might die
I am the pilot breathing hell through the sky
22 years ago I was born in the USA
and got send to Iraq on August the 8th
I’m young, scared, but still full of pride
I am an American, and God is on my side
Grandpa served ‘Ol Glory in World War number 2
And I am still defending the Red, White and the Blue
Not one drop of blood is worth the oil of Kuwait
I might kill a man I don’t know enough to hate
Hell, I dunno if we’re even going to win
But I still believe that freedom in not a sin
Soldiers of my ride are waiting there to die
Both sides are still screaming the same warriors cry
Why? Why Why?
I am the soldier on the border of Kuwait
I am the soldier only God knows my fate
I am the soldier on the sea where I might die
I am the pilot breathing hell from the sky

In Memory of a True Warrior....
Anthony "Frogman" Wright
1972-2005
Warriors have a deep - seated need to win. They must be proficient in the ways of death.
They must also be ready to die - at one with themselves, and with their world. Those qualities are perhaps the most obvious ones.
But Warriordom is more than skin deep - or "win" deep, for that matter. It is a code, a philosophy, by which you live your life. It is the unique way you inhabit and relate to the people around you, which seperates the Warrior from everyone else.
All Warriors have a quiet, understated, yet profound sense of absolute honor, no matter what the personal or professional consequences. Warriors never Rest : they are constantly looking for ways to prove their abilities and expand their minds. Warriors always trust in themselves to survive and to persevere, no matter what the odds.

Sounds kind of worldly to me....
I don't have any, and it's not because I'm a "Christian".
1. I don't like needles.
2. You put yourself at risk for Hepatitis.
3. What purpose does it serve?

What do you think of a peron committing suicide over a broken heart??
Posted:
4/17/2006 12:45:49 PM
Why is harming one's self a crime? And why is it that we have a right to live, but we do not have the right to die? Isn't it bad enough that they can force you to be born into this world? They dictate what you can and can't do for a lifetime, and apparently they are entitled to drag it out as long as possible.
Really, I'm not being sarcastic: exactly why is it unlawful (and by some people's standards, immoral) for a person to slowly or quickly kill himself?
Are there so many people itching to commit suicide that it would jeopardize the survival of the species? You should have the right to do whatever you like to your own body. So long as you do not injure or kill others in the process, and so long as you are apprised of and fully prepared for the consequences well beforehand, you should have the right to abuse or even to permanently shut down your body. Who decided that self-endangerment and self-destruction are not inalienable rights?

Dvd Burning issues?
Posted:

I normally use DVD Shrink with ANYDVD running in the background.
I had problems as well with Nero and began using NTI Platinum to burn the Video_TS.
Haven't had any problems since.

Online DVD rentals - truly off topic !

I recently signed up with net-flix. The only complaint I had was with series t.v. shows.
I ordered "That 70's Show", and they would send disk 4 instead of the 1st of the series.

Try downloading DVD Shrink... It's Freeware. After you open your disk and save Video_TS to your hard drive, use roxio...nero... etc. to burn. You may want to try ANYDVD it cost $40 but is worth it plus keeps up to date copyright encryptions. Good Luck !!!

Easter Sunday is coming. How do you feel about those people that only attend church on the holidays
Posted:
4/15/2006 11:43:55 AM
It might have something to do with the fact that some people were forced to go to church every Sunday. Christianity was forced down my throat... Freewill did not exist.
There are good Christian people out there that don't attend church. In retrospect, there are also evil people that do attend church.
Hope Everyone has a Great Easter Sunday :)

What do you feel about celibacy, is it worth it, or does it matter
Posted:
4/11/2006 1:27:20 PM
I chose to become celibate for a year in order to reanalyze and revise my views
towards women, and the world in general. I had become quite the scoundrel, at
least by my expectations, and I did not accept this in me. That’s up in
July, but I have regained a lot of perspective about what I want in a
serious relationship and though that doesn’t mean that its impossible that I
could be involved in a casual sexual relationship, it does mean that I will
not be involved sexually with someone who does not meet some fairly high
expectations………knowing me, that means I may be celibate for quite some
time, which frankly sucks but is better than the alternative. Anyway, what I
am saying is that most likely I am really only hoping to make some new friends
out of this and I have always wondered what it would be like to do one of
these online things. I imagine it will be fun to see just what type of responses I
get for this book.

My favorite is when I get calls wanting to do home improvements. I live in an apartment.
Sears called wanting to know if I would be interested in getting siding and trim done. I thought it would be fun so I told them yes. After listening to their 10 min scripted speech, they asked me how many square feet I had. I did an estimated math calculation and told them over 100,000. "Sir, are you sure? Do you live in a very Large house?" No, I replied, I live in an apartment. "We don't do work to apartments". Then why are you calling me?

Re: Ratings - true or false

After rating a young lady who looked like the "Girl next Door" type, I noticed that others voted very low. She was at least a 7 or 8. I find beauty in simple things like smiles, voice, tone, and unfortunately you can not rate certain things from a pic. These girls who like to show skin in order to obtain high ratings have issues.

Re: So, John Kerry should win, right?

Maybe the reason why we all differ in our political opinions is our economical background.
I happened to be raised in the upper class and vote for the party that is looking out for my best interest. You do the same, I'm sure. I would never vote for a president or party that gives "hand outs", oh I'm sorry.... Social Programs to a bunch of lazy minorities. Truth be said, we live in a class system. It has always been that way, and will continue far into the future. Having John Scary as president would be the worst thing that could happen. I happen to enjoy my lifestyle. I have worked hard for what I have and do not need my taxes to pay for social programs.

Is everyone on here a liberal nut? I can't believe that people actually trust a guy like John Scary to run this country. No matter if he does get the popular vote, he will never get the collegiate vote.
