I only ask this, as it is of course my Birthday today, and I must say, I am not being vain or attention seeking, I just thought that being my Birthday, "Birthdays" would make a good conversational topic as it could very well stir up some memories and provide invaluable advice for everyone one here.

Do You Men Read Our Whole Profiles?
Posted:

Sure I read the whole profile and I only email if I find them interesting and I like what I see of course, but to be honest most of the female profiles I come across dont say very much at all and more often than not they say the same old thing, almost like they have looked at others profiles and thought "yeah I'll do something similar to that" although I think the truth is that any women with a decent picture knows they will get lots of email based on that alone, but if all they have is a pretty face and nothing to say then they shouldn't expect any of those messages to be intellectual at all, quite the opposite in fact.
My messages to women are always based on what they have written in their profile, otherwise what else would I have to say?

Life is a journey, Not a destination

Yes I think far to much as I am sure we all do, after all a human beings greatest asset is its mind, but the future is so unpredictable that it shoudn't be given to much thought, anything can happen after all.
Nothing will lead you to where you are going but yourself, you are in control of you own life and dont let anything or anyone make you believe otherwise.

For all the fella's!! What would it be?

Although it has already been said I believe that small notes (love letters) are the way to go, simply because when something nice is said to you the only thing that can beat it is when it is written down for you, because then it is set in stone and your mind.
It is what you do, not what you give.

Can a positive action have a positive reaction?
Posted:

yeah I can see how I come across as being serious but thats just how I write, im always chilled out, my humor is more physical but if you want jokes.
Three women were sitting around throwing back a few drinks and talking about their love lives.
One woman said, "I call my husband the dentist. Nobody can drill like he does."
The second woman giggled and confessed, "I call my husband the miner because of his incredible shaft."
The third woman quietly sipped her vodka until her friend asked her, " what do you call your husband?"
She frowned and said, "The postman."
"Why the postman?"
"Because he always delivers late, and half the time it's in the wrong box."
or this one
A guy walks into a bar, orders a scotch and soda and puts a frog on the bar. The bartender gives him the drink and asks what the frog's for?
The guy snaps his fingers and the frog jumps down and blows the man. The bartender is amazed, and asks to see that again.
So the guy a second time snaps his fingers, the frog jumps down, blows the man, and hops back on the bar. The bartender is astounded, he offers the guy $3000 for the frog.
The man of course accepts, and gives the frog to the bartender.
The bartender, after his shift, goes home. he's sitting in his kitchen, calls his wife over, says he has something to show her.
His wife walks in, the bartender takes the frog out of his pocket, puts it on the table, snaps his fingers, the frog jumps down, blows the bartender and hops back on the kitchen table.
The wife asks, "why the hell are you showing me this?"
The bartender says, "cause you're going to teach him how to cook and then you're gonna get the **** outta here."

No jaxx I haven't changed anything in my profile and I wouldn't even if their were a decent suggestion here, that was not the point of this topic anyway.
Not sure if you were joking but no the bike is not fuelled up, I wouldn't start it up indoors even if it was.
And the reason the pub is not on my first dates list is........ because it is on everyone elses

Msg:15. Larrson I was saying I would not respond to those who mock, not that I wouldn't reply at all.
Msg:16. Sorry dean its just that what you said came across that way.
Msg:17. I dont think you understood charms, I said I would not respond to nasty/hate messages because it turns the whole thread into a slagging match, now that is what I find immature.
You do have some valid points but I still dont see how I am being desperate, unless joining a dating site is in itself desperate of course.
Starting this topic is just an idea I had to put myself on the radar so to speak, I have recieved a few messages because of it so my methods cant be faulted.
Further more, I do value other peoples opinions and I have no idea what makes you think otherwise, I did thank everyone for their comments after all.

Msg:2. If you dont try hard then whats the point in trying at all? also I meant I would not respond to those who bash, a few jokes I dont mind.
Msg:3. I did not know their was a forum for profile reviews so thanks for pointing that out Georgiegirl.
Msg:4. Sorry dean01979 im not gay so No thanks mate.
Msg:5. The thread title aptly reflects whats in it now, and that suggestion has already been made.
Msg:6. I didn't think their was such a thing as to much information, but yeah it could do with a few jokes.
Msg:7,8,9. Well I didn't think the scoot would get more attention than me even if it was negative, and roger thats a pc monitor on a desk not a tv.
Msg:10. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, so yes it can, and pic 5 was taken in a mirror Hams06, thought that was obvious.
Msg:11. Ok didn't think I was coming across as desperate, just trying to get this site to work for me, thats what its for right?
Im not trying to force anything on anyone charms83, from what you say you sound like you think im full of bs, thats fine, your opinion, but no im not desperate im just not the type to sit on my behind and expect everything to come to me.
Also what does saying I will only reply to nice messages (as opposed to nasty ones) say about my personality exactly? i'd love to know, I did mean personal email messages by the way.
Msg:12. No mike im not a mod, its just a restoration project, I haven't even got a licence yet so yeah i'll have to drive around the room.
Msg:13. Sorry if you thought the title is deceptive but it is actually a trick question, the point of profile feedback is, if people are viewing my profile and chosing not to respond then I would like to know why, and no I would not readjust my profile to give people what they wanted to hear, the real question is, how much can you really tell about someone from their profile? I am being to think that is mostly down to the pics one has.
Thanks to all for your replys.

Ok im Just trying to (shamlessly) draw some attention to myself, it is a big pond after all, I would appreciate any constructive criticism about my profile, and any nice messages will get a reply.
Also to those of you that will mock me for this, you can say what you like but I will not respond to what you say in this thread.

Proof that their is or is not a God, most wars are fought because of religion so knowing the truth one way or another would certainly change the world for the better.

If they don't fancy you

I think that if some does not find you physically attractive, then all you have left is your mind, if you spend enough time with someone they will get to know your personality and then maybe fall for you that way.
I personally dont chase after women, and if I know they do not like me then I do not try to change their mind, I just keep looking for one that does like me.

Hey TTIP
Firstly I checked your profile and I think its very good, but you should not expect the same from women, they are from venus after all, the ladies will now beat me with a large stick, but its true, they want us to be honest and we try our very best but their is no real way to prove it until you meet someone and spend time with them, and we all know it.
Also ttip, I thought at first that your pic was fake, you look like a model and you must get just as many messages as the ladies do, so you should not complain.
To answer your question, No, their is NO way you can know what they look like until you meet them, of course you could make sure its a wide open place, check them out from a distance and then stand them up, but that proberly is'nt your style.
Sorry mate but this is the nature of the beast we call online dating.
(Note to self, be more positive).
Message ends.

UK rapists jail terms

That really is absolutely shocking john, and the police wonder why people turn vigilante.
I agree with chopping their little fella off, though what would they do if the guy was innocent, no compensation for that, their would have to be concrete evidence.
I think the current 7 year sentence is about right, just think how many times they get raped during that stay, now thats justice.
