I've got to second her on this. Its a great group doing lots of new fun things. If you are still young at heart and willing to get out and play you should join. Its not a dating group though, please dont treat it like that. Its a group for friends and adventure ;)

Your favorite time and place to start sex by giving a mind blowing blow job?
Posted: 3/1/2009 9:34:04 AM
Ok folks.... If you havent done this yet then you need to start ;) phone, tv, drive in, wherever. Yes it is about control and yes it goes both ways. I had one gf who would do this while I was watching tv..... but if I stopped watching tv she would stop. Very fustrating and VERY fun! For the guys, yes, turn it around and do it to her when she is watching her show ;)

The only condition is phone calls with parents are off limits... just too weird. Can make some professional work phone calls very difficult too :)

This ain't my first rodeo!!!

He's a dumbass and needs to suck it up and fix it. It's your car, he ignored your wishes, didn't respect you, and broke something (which was semi broken but in acceptable condition). He broke it, he fixes it. It would be different if it was an accident or he didnt know about it, but this was just stupididy so he's on the hook for fixing it.

PS.. I think all men have done something similar, we tend to learn the hard way :) A real man (or woman) steps up to the plate and accepts responsibility for their mistakes.

meeting women over 30
Posted: 9/12/2008 8:39:51 AM
lol... I dont have an exact age that I am looking for but I do state that I'm not looking for a 20 year old or a 40 year old.

I get blasted on a regular basis for this. If she is 39 3/4 she states that proudly... she is not 40 therefore I should date her.

If she is 40 to 45 she makes an argument as to why she should be exempt from this

45 + I either get attacked right off the bat or told that I dont know what I'm missing

And of course when I stick to my stated preferences I usually get insulted for it ;)
I've also been attacked/insulted for my stated preference of not wanting kids ;) I guess I should change who I am on the spot for these anonymous internet strangers who know me better then I know myself ;)

You cant let this stuff get to you. Its the weird internet and everything happens, either laugh or become jaded and bitter ;)

What do women really want?
Posted: 8/20/2008 6:09:24 AM
I think Puppet Master is bang on. Kitten's response on the other hand really bothers me.

Yes I want a smart, funny, open minded, easy going, sexy woman. Well established I could care less about, I just dont want to be expected to be her suggar daddy. I'm not sure how that equals a lack of responsibility. I also dont think dating should involve one person taking responsibility for anything but their own actions and their own lives (or joint lives in a committed relationship). To me taking responsibility for someone else is demeaning to them - implying that they are incapable of taking care of themselves. (note: this isnt the same as spoiling each other, thats a seperate thing that shouldnt be based on money or responsibility)

What do you need us for? Well I hope you dont need me for anything I "do". You are right, you can do everything that we can do. I want someone to want me, to love me, to care about me, to be my partner in crime and to have fun with. If you are only looking for a man to "do" things for you good luck in your search.

Your point about only being a sexual object I agree with completely, neither partner should be asked to sacrifice their dignity.

As for our behavior - there are always bad apples, both male and female, dont paint us all with that brush. No one person or group is responsible for societal change. But also, have you ever had someone try to change you (as you seem to describe as the womans role)? The natural human tendancy is to rebel against that.

I'm not confused, and it really doesnt matter if I understand exactly what a woman wants. We all do things sometimes that we might not even understand ourselves, how can we expect a partner to know everything. Does it really matter as long as we accept and love each other for who we are.

Halifax Harbour Open for Swimming!
Posted: 8/4/2008 8:46:59 AM
Oh, I believe the "clean" test results. I just dont agree with the testing methods. There is around 2 meters of sludge accumulated at the bottom of the harbour (ask a diver). The water is clean, as long as you dont touch anything that disturbs the layers of sludge. I might swim from a boat, but not from shore.

There is nothing wrong with bachelor/bachlorette parties (and from what i've heard the bachlorette are worse). The problem is with communication and respect. If you can talk about it with your partner, the entire truth, and they are ok with it then there isnt a problem. If you cant talk about it and need to hide it then there is a problem. If you are ever in doubt about doing something put it to that test "can I tell her/him about it".

plump women why we are so over looked?guys look a bit harder you will be amazed what she is like ins
Posted: 6/12/2008 1:21:22 PM
We cant control who we are attracted to. It is true that beauty is more then skin deep. What attracts me is the whole person - attitude, energy, lifestyle, and yes appearance too. One of the most attractive things a woman can have though is to be comfortable with herself and confident.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and admit - I only date people I am attracted to! What a shock! Its only shallow when appearance is the ONLY thing you are looking at.

Alternative to driving!
Posted: 5/28/2008 3:38:41 PM
Well, suprise, suprise... Bayers lake is a mess due to poor city planning. They originally designed it as an industrial park, and seem to have stuck with that plan no matter what. The traffic flow is a mess because each and every one of those large stores was promised two entrances off the main road... so we have lights every 10 feet slowing traffic down.... but no organised plan, just band-aid on band-aid.

The Zenn car is in production and being sold in other countries. It costs below 15K and it has passed all the safety tests and so on. However, the government is stalling on approving it for use. The latest reason is that it is too quiet - blind people wont be able to hear it coming. Like you can hear a regular car coming on a downtown street crowded with buses and trucks.

You should be able to get help on there. Also, the oil light might need to be reset (see below)

"You have to reset it after every oil change. If you open the driver side fuse box, you will see the red rectagular reset button. Turn your ignition on, either hold it or press that button. The change oil light will blink. Press or hold it again. Something like that. Check your manual."

"If there isn't a red reset switch in the panel, or even if there is, you can reset it using the gas pedal. Turn the key to the on position which is when all the lights and dings start going on. When the change oil light is on, press the gas pedal down 3 times within a 5 second period. the light will flash a few times then go off. You cna then turn the key back to off and then restart it and the light should be off after that."

I havent had any horror stories, but then I would never buy computers from them. On the other hand I did have a kid there get into an agument with me over computer hardware. I told him my background (which should have shut him up) but he kept arguing. He was so wrong it was almost funny.

I did have fun one day getting service, I was looking for a small tv on a busy day, didnt need any help other then them grabbing me the box and getting a sale. Like Polly I stood there forever. Finally I played a trick on them. I went and stood in front of the biggest, most expensive tv. They almost raced to get to me. You should have seen the look on the winners face when I turned around and took him back over to the small tv's.

The other file type that may be giving you problems is .bin or .cue. I may be wrong but from what I understand these file types are meant to be burnt to cd. Once you burn them you should be able to open them.

hmm, seems I'm the only one who didnt get the same line for love so I had to put it up. I need trust too, but I'd have to agree with my line too.

Polly, took me a while to figure out you had the new profile. I like the new pic you have up. Cheers

You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is still unknown, and a little scary. You'll get through wild times - and you'll textually enjoy it.

For you, falling in love is all about the adventure and uncertainty. You can only fall in love with someone who keeps you guessing.

Why don't men like to dress up for dates?
Posted: 12/27/2006 5:06:43 AM
I dress appropriately, but not over the top. Maybe this is the wrong attitude, but I'm not trying to impress with WHAT I am. There are a lot of things about me that would be impressive, but they dont define WHO I am. I want to go on a date, be myself, and if she likes me it will be for who I really am. If the only way I'll get a second date is a tie or suit, well I'm not sure I want the second date.

A judge was interviewing a woman regarding her pending divorce, and asked,
"What are the grounds for your divorce?"

She replied, "About four acres and a nice little home in the middle of the
property with a stream running by."

"No," he said, "I mean what is the foundation of this case?"

"It is made of concrete, brick and mortar," she responded.

"I mean," he continued, "What are your relations like?"

"I have an aunt and uncle living here in town, and so do my husband's
parents."

He said, "Do you have a real grudge?"

"No," she replied, "We have a two-car carport and have never really needed
one."

"Please," he tried again, "is there any infidelity in your marriage?"

"Yes, both my son and daughter have stereo sets. We don't necessarily like
the music, but the answer to your questions is yes."

"Ma'am, does your husband ever beat you up?"

"Yes," she responded, "about twice a week he gets up earlier than I do."

Finally, in frustration, the judge asked, "Lady, why do you want a divorce?"

"Oh, I don't want a divorce," she replied. "I've never wanted a divorce. My
husband does. He said he can't communicate with me."

The problem with politicans...
Posted: 12/10/2006 4:54:21 PM
A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is Politics?"

Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense."

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.
Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now."

The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about."

The little boy replies, "The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."

The problem with politicans...
Posted: 12/7/2006 6:02:37 PM
The problem with politicans.... is that they are politicans. I dont think that anyone who wants to be a politican should ever be allowed to become one, or run for election.

I agree that we are much better off then most other countries, however I think there is a lot of corruption in our system. Why is it that almost wherever the auditor general looks, she finds "discrepencies". I think we have a good system, but it does need some reforms, but those will never come from inside the system.

Posted: 12/5/2006 6:19:16 PM
I went out and played in it of course. Traffic was too slow for fun, so to entertain myself I kept diverting into empty parking lots. I even managed to get stuck, briefly, as I was doing donuts.

Tried to get out in the woods today to really enjoy it but coudnt get away until it was too late.

with the Laws of physics,is there an end to space?
Posted: 11/22/2006 3:45:35 PM
The real question is "will it collapse back in on itself" Physicists dont know the answer to this one yet. The universe is expanding, presumably from the big bang theory... But its own gravity could pull it all back together into a reverse big bang. (no sexual puns please, unless I get to be part of it ) Kind of like launching a rocket into space. If its going fast enough it gets into space, becomes weightless (yes I know thats not quite accurate) and goes forever. However if it wasnt going fast enough, it doesnt escape the earths gravity and crashes back down.

Winters coming ... Why are you glad?
Posted: 10/25/2006 6:03:33 PM
I love winter. skiing, hiking in the woods, playing in it, snowball fights, the cold, all of it. I'm a bit twisted, as soon as there is snow on the ground I make an excuse to go for a drive in it. I have 4x4, but its way more fun to leave it in 2.

What 2007 vehicle should you drive
Posted: 10/25/2006 5:55:20 PM
Toyota FJ of all things. I've seen them at a show, they arent a real 4x4. I drive a real truck, but I do need a rock crawling jeep with 35"s on it

Parking Lot accidents
Posted: 9/26/2006 4:09:20 PM
Parking lots are assumed to be 50/50, unless either party can PROVE wrongdoing by the other party. The best way to do this is carry a cheap disposable camera (leave it in the package) in your dash. Dont move the vehicles from the spot, even if you have to crawl out the other side. Then take pictures. You might as well use up the whole roll as you're going to get it developed anyway. Also they can tell if you were braking or in reverse from the lightbulbs, if they were broken in the accident. If thats the case you can move the cars and wait for a cop to show up to collect the evidence.

Another advantage to waiting for the cop is that you then dont have to file the accident downtown. You end up wasting less time if you just wait for them, plus if you were not at fault your case will be stronger.

Not that I've needed this. I've only been in two car accidents (see keep yourself alive thread), one was clearly their fault, one was clearly mine, but both were witnessed and just minor dents.

Keep Yourself Alive!

Well for those on the mudding trip this shouldn't be too much of a suprise..... I've lost count.

I've never ended up seriously hurt in the hospital but I should have. I usually start with a pinky finger when I'm checking to see if I can still move.

I've been hit by a car 7 times while walking or riding a mountain bike, ive flown over 2 1/2 house lengths at 70km/h with no helmet or gear on (stopped counting it as an accident if it was under 40km/h), been trapped under rolled ATV's twice, hypothermic on a regular basis when I was younger, seriously thought I've broken my neck a couple times, and I've tried drowning a couple of times.

Borrowing versus ownership
Posted: 9/26/2006 2:49:00 PM
Depends on who its for. For my true friends what I own they own, there is no borrowing. I've had a kayak for two years till it got stolen back by the owner one night when I wasnt home. The kayak was actually missing from my place for 2 month this summer when another friend took possession of it. I know where it is, if they need it they can have it. They have keys to my truck too, so some days I get up to go to work and find it gone with a car sitting in its place. Thats fine because his keys are on my keyring too.

For anyone else though nothing should be borrowed without a return date as part of the deal. If they need it longer then that they should check back in to re-borrow it.

The videos are more or less put together! There are a few chunky spots but they look pretty good. I've emailed them to those who sent me their address so if you dont recieve it let me know. Anyone else who want them can just message me with their address.

Enjoy

Another twist in the saga. I just checked to see what was recovered and it seems that all the pictures were lost. They must have been on the sectors that were destroyed when the card got a spark from the reader. The video's did survive, sort of.... the video pictures are there but not linked together into a video. I guess that I now have to find a way to reconstruct them into a stream. I'm starting to think that I should have given up without trying but its too late now. Maybe if I start drinking the transitions wont look as choppy as they did on my first try.
