the perfect relationship ?

At this point in my life, that sounds absolutely PERFECT!
And I agree that it depends alot upon what point of your life your in. For me, having done the husband/kid thing already, and having no further genetic need to "settle down and start a family", the freedom to pursue a romance is fantastic!! The thought of passion and romance without the down side of domestic arguments and getting on each others nerves is great. Sign me up!!!

I'm Inspired To Ask If Anyone Thinks About Marriage This Way...

Well, from my personal experience only...I think one of the sources of the complacency and resentment that can build up in a marriage is the resistance to change.
We all change, evolve, grow so much over the years that we are often drastically different people at 35 then we were at 25...and in order to stay excited and happy together in a marriage, the relationship has to evolve and change as well. Add kids into the mixture and the changes and challenges that each step of THEIR development brings...and you desperately need to have a living, adapting environment that can constantly evolve with the new needs of the couple.
If either partner is unable or unwilling to negotiate these adaptations...or look on them with some sense of adventure and excitement...then I think the marriage can grow resentful, cold, and stale.

Best break-up lines

Oh here's one I got about ten years ago that literally left me speeachless...
"You know....I've really tried to love you...really...but I just can't. Sorry...."
Hmmmm.....oh okay.....so as I reached up out of the bed and pulled my bra off the light fixture....I thought...what is the penalty for manslaughter in this province again??...

Non-committed but potential cheaters?

Well....I suppose at least they told you upfront.
What I don't understand is the ones who get to know you and THEN tell you...."I have to be honest with you....I'm living with someone...but I need more...yadda,yadda,yadda". Then I'm really ticked because I actually invested time getting to know someone. It feels like an emotional trap of sorts. There are "married and looking" sights out there...but I guess the "free" aspect of POF is just to good to pass up for these folks.

Absolutely - laughing is the second best explosive feeling in the world.
I would totally go for a second date.
Go for it man!

How do you approach a girl?

I'd have to say that humour always gets me. If you can make me laugh, you've already got my attention.
The other night a friend of mine (who is gorgeous and approached all the time) got this line - "Hi, would you happen to have any gum?" She responded with "That is the dumbest line I've ever heard. What were you going to follow up with? We really need to work on your pickup lines." The guy laughed and said, "Hey, you're funny! Beautiful women are never funny. Were you a fat child?"
She was so thrown off by this remark, she started laughing, and from then on he had her attention all night.
Weird, I know...but sometimes quirky works!!!

Are you looking or wanting to be found?

Spade, you are too funny!
I am definitely looking to be found...then when it all falls apart in a noisy, cluttered, emotionally ruptured heap at my feet...It was never my idea!!! (You got no one to blame but yourself buddy...)
But I would say I am looking for a quirky, fun, reliable car...good mileage...definately want to buy....has to be a utility vehicle (for off-roading adventures) but not a behemoth! And has to have room for a family. Preferably some dents (for character and history)...gotta love a car with a story! And has to be comfy...
Okay...I'm done...

Sometimes No Pic = smalltown girl!
Just because I feel okay delving into the online dating world, does not necessarily mean my family, friends and co-workers need be affected by it. Get to know me and I'll show who I am, but I'm not about to advertise myself as "available goods" when my nephew or my next door neighbour could be the next yahoo looking for a date. The world has become way too small for that....
