could you live without your tv

yeah I agree, I have the tv on whether I watch or not,,,just like the company of the noise. I agree to the point that the good shows no longer exist,,,sex, drugs and violence is about all there is,,,but that is what we wanted and that is what they show,,,,,I watch a lot of the game show network.

Star Trek-Trekkies-geeks or not?
Posted:

I did not care for the Enterprise show as well,,,never watched it. DSN I did like. The movies really sucked, as you knew each ended and there was nothing to follow up on. But I did like the others. Voyager was not bad,,,,,had to get used to it. What I hated was the final episodes, they never really fitted with the show thru the years,,,,and seemed empty,,,,do a show and if cancelled send it off the way it went thru the years it was on,,,,

Profile Photo Does NOT Look Like the Person You've Just Met
Posted:

I agree with what you just said. A few yrs back I met a man who told me that one lady sent him her best friend's photo in case she was not good enough for the meeting with hopes that once they met and talked he would like her. When I asked him what he said his reply was nothing,,,just tipped my cap and said goodbye.
My point is yes send a picture that is capturing the real you as it will come out at the meeting.
My pet peeve is these guys that states must have photo to contact. These guys have NO photo so why demand that from the lady. Not fair and goes to show that they aren't gentleman at all and should be avoided at all cost.

If you are going to post a pic, then make sure it is you and not your friend, He will find out when he meets you and therefore will climb back into his truck and leave. That happen to one of my friends, I asked her what was she thinking. One pet peeve on here is guys that puts in their profile "must have picture to contact". I don't mind that, seems fair enough,,but what about when they dont have one. That is when I see it as unfair. Don't demand a photo if you don't have one

I still stand by my decision to talk a while before you meet. It works for me as with my work schedule,,,it sometimes take that long to get time together. And if by the second email they start asking about sex, then I see the red flag.

Fact, if I had met these guys right off the bat I would not have known that these "divorced" gentlemen were actually separated and living in different portions of the house. By the third email they let it slip that they were living in the basement til the divorce was final,,,oops,,,did they let that slip,,,
So yeah, I wait for a few more emails and then we meet,,,by then they have told me all I need to know

Not really, I still stand on my rules. They work for me and that is how I do it. Talk and get to know that person some before you meet. Men who are eager beavers are after the ole fashion booty call,,,that is all. A man that is willing to wait is wanting something more permanent....

Sorry I disagree with you on some of your statements. I had a guy wanting my phone number after two emails. I said no. I didn't know him and had no idea what or who this guy could be. A date goes for at least six emails. That way he has accidently let a lot of things slip in his emails and saves you a lot of heartache later on. But you can always get fooled whether you talk a long time or short. A person has to set their own rules on how they want to date and if doing online, how long to talk im or email before meeting. If the guy don't want to wait,,,then figure no major loss. Those that wants to meet right off the get go are usually the ones that are into booty calls and nothing more

Question: Guy wants to meet you, he agrees to the safety rule but he is having car trouble and wants you to drive to him. He offers to pay for the gas and you pick out a good restaurant. You know the town so it is not a strange place. Would you go?

I prefer to im/ email before I talk on the phone or meet them. That way I feel that we already know each other to some extent and feel more comfortable and at ease during the first face to face meeting. Everyone must go at their own pace and dont let someone tell you that you are wrong on what they do. I im/email this gentleman, we sent pics to each other, knew what each other looked like. When we met he was 50 lbs heavier than the picture he sent, but it was alright, we remain friends even tho we are not dating any longer.
My pet peeve on here is guys that demand a picture to communicate and they dont have one posted theirselves.

Just because Al Gore talks about global warming, everyone wants to flake him off. How about our leader Mr. Bush who has now confessed that global warming does exist. How about the scientists in Greenland where ships are sailing in open water that should be frozen. How about the glaciers that are getting smaller. It is not tree huggers that are discovering these things. It is the residents of countries that are seeing the changes. It is the residents of Iceland and Greenland that have notice what is going on. Yes, whether you like it or not, we are killing this planet for our own selfish good. We are not leaving much behind for our own generations to live on. Yes, there are alternatives. But until you find a way to get our leaders out of the oil companies pockets,,,we will never see it,,,and neither will our families down the road.
GOD created this planet for us to enjoy,,,,not destroy

I read that same story and another story was that if this had came out before the Iowa caucas then Clinton would have probably won and that would have changed everything that happen. So no I don't think that she knew then. I do hope that NE nails him good and they say they have more stuff they are going to release soon regarding this and that money trail. Since wife knew back then of this, she should have told him NO on running. He couldn't win all he did was stop Clinton from getting it. Family values,,,what a farce for sure.

Well I am a democrat,,,and I can say I really don't care if they are a democrat, republican, independent or green party or whatever. He ran on family all the time he was screwing another woman. When Elizabeth needed him the most, he was betraying their vows. Now it looks like another slap in the face with this love child. I agree what a person does under the sheets does not make him a poor leader,,,but it sure makes them a lousy human being.
I think what bothered me the most about this was the woman badmouthing Elizabeth and he stood back and didnt say a thing to defend her,,,saving his own a**I would say....

Simmah, I can't believe what you just said. Remember what he has been through!!!! It is Elizabeth that is dying from cancer. Elizabeth gave birth to that son that died. Elizabeth has had to deal with what he did and now have to deal with the fact that he fathered a child with this woman. Remember what she has been through and what she is going through.
You make it sound like we should all feel sorry for him. He has told lie, after lie, after lie.

Posted:

This "test driving" before you buy is a crock of crap. That line has been around so long,,,it is hard to believe that women still falls for it. There is more to love than sex. If on our wedding night, I found out that he couldn't,,,well there are more ways to please a woman than with a penis. And any man that don't realize that,,,well wouldn't be worth my time anyhow,,,,,so ladies don't fall for the "do it for compatiablity" line. It is old and needs to be retired,,,,

Another thing, when you talk online, the majority of people abbreviate and I think that is what is wrong with most people,,,when you can get by with writing: how r u instead of spelling them out, then you run the risk of getting emails in the same category. I never im anyone unless I spell out all words. I may misspell some but at least I try.

I have yet to receive an email for a guy that I didn't have to try interpret and decipher what he was trying to say. When we meet it is different. A lot of guys just dont like to type,,they prefer talking in person,,,so yes, it don't bother me. What bothers me if to receive a badly written letter with them telling me that I don't use good grammar,,,,go figure.
