Horse riding in or around Toronto
Posted: 4/20/2007 3:13:41 AM
I've been to the place called the Ranch in Oakville. They have alot of options so you'd have to give them a call to see what is offered these days. I can tell you that they have alot of horses that are in great shape so it is a pleasure riding them.

Your First Love
Posted: 3/2/2007 4:36:34 AM
My first love was when was 14. We got engaged when I was 17. He had a '67 red mustang that we got to cruise around in. Every time I hear the song "Emotion Rescue" by the Stones, I still think of him.

However, he had a friend that I got along with quite well and had wondered about him over the years as well. Recently, he found me on here. Pretty damn cool!!

Question for the ladies....

WOW, I have nothing!! Now I'm depressed and it's only 7:30 in the morning. I really have to work on that one. And if I have to think about it that hard, I seriously haven't been with any good men!! LOL

Having your pet as an audience...
Posted: 3/1/2007 4:42:56 PM
My dog has separation anxiety. He has to go everywhere that I do. When I leave he sits by the door and waits for awhile until he realizes that I'm out for awhile, then he tries to get in my room to sleep on my bed. My kids have told me that when they are home, they can hear him banging against the door to try to get it open. He'll stop for a couple of minutes then go back at it. It's a laugh.

As for bedroom activities, he's gone so far as to actually jump up on the bed and try to nip the 'guest' in the butt. I could only assume that it would be quite intimidating for a guy when there is a good chance the dog can remove parts before you are done using them.

By the way, the dog is a burmese mountain/border collie mix. Not a small dog.

I generally go elsewhere when I want activities. It's just safer for all involved. LOL

Burning Yourself OUT !!

My experience is that it just hits you. This morning was an example. I usually wake up at 5 but since I've had a busy week, I overslept til 7!! I was totally shocked. I just assume that I needed to catch up on the sleep since I've had too many late nights recently.

What's In A Sign?
Posted: 2/23/2007 5:22:21 AM
I'm curious to know sign everyone is. You guys posted the signs that you are attracted to, but not what yours are.
Capricorns (me) are not compatible with Cancers, although I married one, dated one, and my best friend is one.

In fact, my son who is a cap as well has been trying to date a girl that is a cancer, and his best friend is one as well.

It is quite strange. I do make a point of finding out quickly because the cancers have turned into really bad relationships and I like to watch for the similarities. But it wouldn't stop me, because everyone has their differences.

Does anyone know of a website that I could visit to learn more about this rebate? I am a low income person with 2 kids so I think I should be entitled, but haven't seen anything yet.

Let me know.

My goal has always been to put it up on December first, but I usually end up doing it 2 weeks before christmas.

But the question would be, when does everyone take theirs down??

Thats really heavy girl.......gotta give it a bit of time. Don't ever lose your 'virtue' too early in the game.

I'd say 2 years.....not before the 'giddy in the pants', obviously. I mean wait some time before that big commitment.

Addiction

Addiction is when you can't walk away
Addiction is when you can't say no
Addiction is when it is all consuming
Additionn is when it takes over all of your being
Additions is when you ask for help but you refuse it

life is hard
life is what we make of it
life is everything around you, enjoy it

living is when you can overcome the hardships that life has to offer
living is when you are able to laugh at what life put on the table and you ate it up
living is when you can finally respect the ones that tried to help you, and you refused, but now you accept
living is seeing life in the way that you were expected to see it

love is unconditional
love is all giving
loving is understanding that no one is perfect but you will try to see them as they are

anonymous

I just read this and I wanted to share. Possibly the big fish will not accept, but I'd love to know anyone else's op......

First Date of Your Life
Posted: 9/23/2006 6:53:27 AM
I was 14 and he was 17. We met at a singles 'family' function that our parents were both in. We were going to a drive in as a double date with friends when his car over heated. His car was a cherry red, '67 fast back Mustang that he was constantly working on. He had changed it from automatic to standard and hadn't gotten it finely tuned.

The rad over heated and he got splashed with the fluid when it exploded when he took the cap off. We had to go to the hospital for burns.

He felt like an complete idiot. I thought he was soo cool!!

Your confidant?
Posted: 9/22/2006 1:09:14 PM
I spend alot of time thinking about why I feel that way, and how can I correct the situation.

Example - I met new people the other night. Thought they were really cool when I was hanging out with them having a few drinks. Gave them a hug before I left after we exchanged numbers, and I invited them to a party that I'm having.

So I get home from work yesterday to 3 messages on my voice mail threatening me because the girl thought I was hitting on her boyfriend. I spent the entire time chatting with her and the bf was basically just in the room listening. The things she called me really hurt and it was hard to sleep. I didn't hit on him at all. I hugged both of them. But for some reason I was told that if she ever saw me again, she'd kill me. Then she proceeded to call me a fat whore.

That was really tough to deal with. I basically had to think it all through and convince myself that she is psycho and I'm okay. I didn't really want to talk to anyone for awhile. Now I feel I can get it off my chest.

Very strange, eh??

It is true that it's how you use it, and not the size. I don't want to give the wrong impression. LOL

If you don't know what you're doing, you don't know what you're doing. Makes no difference on size.

Pet Help - My dog
Posted: 9/19/2006 4:25:00 AM
So I get a call from my daughter when I was at work yesterday. She only ever calls me when somethings up. Our dog peed right in the middle of her bed!! I stopped on the way home to buy a steam cleaner to try to fix the mattress but don't want to have to do this every day when we all have to go out.

He's a border collie/bermese mountain dog mix. Around 10 years old. I don't know the actual age because we rescued him from the shelter and they weren't 100% sure either. He seemed to have been neglected because when we first brought him home and had to go out anywhere, he would randomly pee in our place. And whine and bark until we came back. Plus he's been the most unruly male I've ever been around!! LOL

He's been alot of work for a number of years but finally after about 3 years, he finally got used to the fact that if we go out, we will be back. We never leave him alone for any real length of time.

He's not a small dog, and being male would usually lift his leg on something. NOT in the middle of her bed!! I'm thinking that its because he's getting old and was maybe dreaming and thought he was outside.

Anyone else have this happen? What do you do to prevent it from happening again? And how do you save the furniture that you have if it continues??

If it happens again, I'll be taking him to the vet, but I found it so bizarre that I thought I'd see if anyone had any words of wisdom on this one.

Posted: 9/16/2006 8:01:58 PM
rexetcetera, love the fact that you are basically in my neighbourhood!! Only 3 hours away. Sooo true about Sunday mornings. I has to be Corrie, because the other choices are terrible!!

I try to watch corrie throughout the evenings but miss a good portion of it because of cooking and cleaning after work. So I always have to watch it all on Sundays.

dumb and painfull stuff that a split second decision caused ?
Posted: 9/16/2006 7:44:38 PM
I was trying to think of one that isn't toooo imbarrassing, but here goes. I was at my friends place one night partaking in too much wine. When the cab buzzed, I went to the buzzer and told him I'd be right down. Then lost my balance, fell into her coffee table, knocked it over with our glasses, etc and ended up with massive bruises everywhere.

Doesn't pay to drink and not put food in the belly!! LOL & OUCH

I just had someone comment on my profile pic. He had the nerve to tell me to change my description back to "a few extra pounds" because you can see it in my face. He's never seen me in person, whereas the people that have seen me suggested that I change it.

I am steaming mad!! I haven't been angry on this site, ever, and this @sshole, just caused it. I've lost weight since those pics were taken, but haven't updated.

Advise from Men - Shaving
Posted: 9/8/2006 11:04:18 AM
/\/\/\/\/\ Rowdy, it was suggested that he get his own razor. It's on the list for weekend shopping. I just wasn't prepared when he asked me last night. So we had to use one of mine (brand new of course).

I got him started, then he took over and finished off where mom was too afraid. No cuts, no camera. But I think I'll buy one when I pick up the razors. LOL

Advise from Men - Shaving

Thanks everyone!!

@ 58froggy – he asked about showering first. My only reference was with my ex who showered after. So that’s what he did. I’ll have to look into the ‘seabreeze’ stuff.
@ Dante – he had enough on his upper lip and whiskers on his chin. It was really bugging him and I didn’t want to say no. That’s the only place that got shaved. I told him it looked fine because the other hair around his face wasn’t noticeable yet. LOL
We used shaving cream for sensitive skin because that’s what my daughter and I use.
The balloon idea is great. I would never have thought of that. I had plenty of experience with the leg area before any sensitive areas were worked on. LOL
@ Gumper1 – I’ll make breakfast…..
@ Singin – we talked about the electric idea. I was thinking it might be better in the long run, but I needed some opinions first. It’s going to be on the list for xmas.

Man, do I feel old right now. My babies are all grown up!!

And last but not least - Rascal - Duck tape is the handy mans tool. I use it instead of waxing nowadays.

Advise from Men - Shaving
Posted: 9/8/2006 6:29:05 AM
I have a question for the men.

My son wants to shave and doesn't have any males around to teach him. I actually had to show him how last night which was really weird because shaving a face is far different than legs, pits and other areas for women. I was terrified I was going to cut him. Yikes.

In the meantime, I'm wondering what the process is. I had him wet his face with a hot cloth. We soaked the razor to get it warmed up. Used some shaving cream (my daughters) and shaved with one of my razors. (How nice is that? The boy is using an orange bic razor. LOL)

So, do you use aftershave? What does it do? Does it sting? Do you prefer razors to electric? Should you use any kind of face creams?

Help!!

First Day Back to School

I don't find first day as bad as second. My son is in grade 11 this year so I'm pretty used to the routine. I still make his lunch and never have to on the first day. The whole routine actually starts tomorrow.

I still stressed at 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep though knowing that I'm back to getting up at 5:30 instead of 6ish.

Best Friends
Posted: 8/29/2006 11:35:48 AM
My best friend is 12 years older than me. We've know each other for 33 years. She went to school with my oldest brothers and sister. Then they drifted when they all got married. She then became friends with my other sister which is how we started seeing each other. Now her and I see each other regularly and my sister has other friends.

My first best friend lived right beside me when we were kids. We stayed friends until I moved away. Then we became friends again when she moved to Kitchener when I lived there. We haven't been in touch in years.
