HST!

I for one have signed the paper towards the protest against the HST. And its great to see that the crowds are growing everyday showing just how much British Columbians hate this plan

Hot enough for ya?
Posted: 8/5/2009 12:01:49 AM
After the winter that I, and many others in my situation had to go through in 08/09, I will, and am always willing to go through the amount of heat that the sun throws my way so far this summer. Bring it on! But I will admitt that the cooler, more normal temps that have started to come our way, and the fact that I for some reason decided to buy an air conditioner earlier this has made things much nicer to deal with lately. And rain in the not too distant future for southern BC, which will (I hope) will help with the fires that are going on in our beautiful province right now.

Tanning beds
Posted: 8/4/2009 11:48:12 PM
I used to always go to the tanning beds a couple of weeks before heading off to someplace tropical to get my body/skin used to what is yet to come as far as the hot sun that I will be getting is concerned. However, after the most recent report on tanning beds and certain cancers, I won't be doing that anymore. I will just get as much natural sun exposure as possible before heading off on my future vacations.

One liner profiles
Posted: 8/4/2009 11:43:54 PM
Now, now you two ^^^^^! claws in please. LOL.

When I go fishing, my intro line is not much more then two or three lines. But they are usually enough to have them go to my profile read and pic. This is where I have a fairly good amount of current pic and info for many to at least respond, even if they feel that we wouldn't be a match.

I very much like it when woman takes the time to send me a short note to let me know that they interested or not, because they are at least giving me the time that I gave them in showing interest.

Due to the high heat I just can't see myself taking two buses and two skytrains to get out there for this one. Hope everyone can stay cool in this heat and has a great time tonight. I'm staying home in my air conditioned unit.

Maybe next tuesday, k?

Disabilities?!
Posted: 7/27/2009 4:16:36 PM
40 and still going strong with my spinabifida. It has its downfalls like infections of the bladder/kidneys and such but that has never stopped me from doing the things that I love like camping, swimming, wheelchair basketball, (however slower it may be.)

Going camping on Thursday to Monday up at some of the Upper Coquahalla Lakes with many POF/Facebook friends that I have met over the last three plus years. Its posted BCBears site so have a looky, and if you can make it, please do,.............the more the marrier.

Learning Disabilities
Posted: 5/31/2009 1:46:07 AM
In many cases the disability that some people may have is in many ways stronger or weaker depending on the individuals perspective of said disability. The more positive outlook that you can have over such things (and they largely very) can and in most cases do have an impact on how not only you, but how others see you with said disability. The less one makes of their own disabiltiy, the better the chances other will see it as a turn off or obsticle for themselves in how they view you.

My personal example: three years ago when I joined POF I was very nervious about the idea of perfect strangers wanting to be interested in involveing me in outdoor camping situations. But thankfully for me most, if not all the peeps involved in any of the camping situations that have come up over the past three years have come across to me personally in a way that had me feeling completely capable of doing and participating in anything and everything they may, or want to do during that or any other camping trip. And in my experience that has given me the camping bug rug back in my personal live. In large part because of how others see me, and what they feel they could help me particapate in AND my own personal outlook at my drive and determination to do those very same things with the people involved. And for that I will always be thankfull for. Thank you to all of my camping POF Buddies.

Would you wear a specific ring that was designed for singles only to wear?
Posted: 5/31/2009 1:33:32 AM
I love rings for all things and reasons. And with that idea in mind and the fact that men and women wear rings to signify that they are engaged/married. I think that men/women whereing a ring that signifies that they are single would work for me. But I believe it is a personal choice.

What do you like most about being single ?
Posted: 5/31/2009 12:07:47 AM
I like the time and freedom to do whatever/whenever. However, I'm ok with the idea of shareing my life with someone specail again these days. I have gained many great friends through this site, but still looking for that specail someone.

In the meantime, I have learned well how to value my alone time.

is it ok to laugh at the handicaped?
Posted: 5/26/2009 10:40:23 PM
Unless its found to be funny for some reason by the person that just got splashed, then by all means laugh along with the poor guy. But if the person in question is helpless/defenceless and could use some friendly assistance from a fellow pedestrian, that in it self isn't funny to me in my eyes. And in my view it doesn't matter whether said person is abled or dis abled.

Bacon Brothers Complain about Harassment
Posted: 3/30/2009 9:20:49 PM
Do I like it: NO

Has it slowed them down in their business dealings (which are illegal by the way) and possibly slowed the frequency in the killings: MAYBE.

And it is in my opinion (not the law's) that if/when you are a regular member of an OUTlaw Gang involved with illegal dealings and murders, your rights should be suspended/taken away.

Is this the beginning of a new and maybe nessessary way of dealing with todays issues in the lower mainland Murders, I'm afraid so.

Is it fair that the tax payer has to pay for all this, NO. But nevertheless its gonna happen that way anyways.

POF Sunday Brunch March 29th
Posted: 3/29/2009 10:08:25 PM
It has been my absolute pleasure hosting this event for over the last two years or so.

It has given me op after op to meet so many great and interesting people, many of which I consider to be a good friend today.

And I look forward to host this event again for many more months to come.

Contrary to what I was saying earilier today, even if/when I meet that specail someone one day in my (hopefully, not too distant future) it is my intension to continue to host this event. Why? Because even if I don't find that specail someone, this event along with all the others are great places to meet new friends, and just maybe that specail someone.

Keep an eye out for when the next brunch will be.

I had a great time today. It was a great turnout for those who were able to make it. But also know that others that signed up couldn't make it for one reason or another, as some that didn't sign up were able to show up.

No worries though, its all good. Always a good time at fresgos

BTW, for everyone that is coming to fresgos for the first time, we usually meet up in the back of the resturant after ordering your food. Just look for me, I'm the one in the wheelchair.

(Hopefully there won't be more then one guy there in a wheelchair, otherwise that could get a little confuseing!) lol

Was just wondering if anyone would be into carpoolin from the ferry to the site, splitting a site and car it back to the ferry. If that could posiblily be arranged, I just might be able to see myself taking part in this one after all. I have tenting gear and enough money for transportation/camping site shared/ and ferry ride. Just no transportaion to and from the camping site.

15 down and one week to go! Lookin forward to the brunch of course, as usual. lol. It's great to see some new faces amoung some of the regulars! That is one of the main points of this Brunch that I host. For the new peeps to meet other peeps, regular and New. That is one the whole reasons for the events afterall, right?

I live by a sellect few credows. And one of the main one's is: There is no such thing as having too many friends.

Lets face it, some peeps that meet as friends always have the chance to turn into somthing more.

See ya'll Sunday

I could be soooo into this idea however, transportation is as always a problem. Is this a provincail campsite? if so, if I can reserve a site, its free for me, and there is usually room for a couple more peeps with me on that particular site. Just an idea. Time will tell. Anyways, I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what transpires.
