What makes you smile when you look at your partner
Posted: 10/17/2006 12:21:59 PM
Back to sometime ago, my ex had a very cute habit. He used to wear eye-pad when he slept. I questioned him if he didn't want to see me when waking up in the morning

No, as a matter of fact he's being considerate. He did it because I'd suffered from insomnia that I normally read until late before I could fall asleep. So he offered to do it that I could turn the lights on, how sweet indeed. Hence every time when I looked at him with the eye-pad on, I couldn't help smiling and kissing him every 10 minutes.........

Solo Female In Germany

German train system is one of the best in Europe:

Get a Pass for 4 day @ euro 160 / 5 day @ 180 / www.bahn.de

or

Surf some great deals @ www.easyjet.com, you'll be surprised how cheap the domestic flights are, or some even fly as far as to Eastern Europe & Portugal

Suggested itinerary for 10-14 days:

-Frankfurt - Maine ( Rhine Valley & Wine tasting ) / Castle Road or Romantic Road by coach
- Heidelberg (Universitat / Philosophenweg / Alte Brucke )
- Munich (Olympiapark / Stadtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus / Glyptothek / Deutsches Museum / Hofbrauhaus )
- Fussen (Schloss Neuschwanstein / Alpsee )
- Nuernberg ( St. Lorenz-Kirche / Albrecht Durer / Schwurgerichtssaal 600 )
- Berlin ( Berliner Dom / Berlin Wall @ Charlie Check Point / Stiftung Denkmal Fur Die Ermordeten Juden Europas )

Have a nice trip

PERSONALITY TEST
Posted: 10/13/2006 12:08:47 AM
[this is puzzling me. Is this a scientifically proven test?]

Exactly, I'm amazed, it's 95% accurate.

*Pig, Tiger, Cow, Sheep, Horse
*Lousy dog, Yummy cat, Pretty rat, Sour coffee, Shallow sea
*Tom Cruise, George Bush, Laden, Tiger Woods, Prince Charles
*1997 and everyday

When I was in College, a professor shared a real good one. It's a story starting with something like: you get lost in a forest, then find a key, then you bump into something etc..etc. Such a shame that I don't remember it, anybody knows about this one? This one is truly wonderful. When you do it you don't have a clue what's all about, but the result is 100% accurate. Too bad I can't remember it.......

Blogs, and the people who love them...
Posted: 10/12/2006 8:02:52 PM
Yes, it's truly amazing, by blogging I've located my mentor who'd lost contact for more than a decade. Another day I was complimented by a local celebrity who I've been admired. Fantastic experiences.

Just a side note to Rainbowfishh: I like reading your posts, and you look absolutely gorgeous. But ever since you've used this scary mask for ID, I've found it a bit disturbing. No offended and please don't take it personal. Would you consider changing it to a cheerful one? Or put your pretty face back that I've missed. Thank you and have a lovely evening

Las Vegas
Posted: 10/12/2006 7:21:45 PM
Been there more than 15 years ago, stayed at the Mirage, the most luxury suite I'd ever seen. There's a gaint sauna jacuzzi in the center of the suite, like a swimming pool!!! Everywhere was golden palace feel, just too shinny.

Hence, Vegas is the place I'd not consider to go again. Man made beauty is not my cup of tea, no matter how gorgeous it is. Same rules apply to Dubai.

Belize it!
Posted: 10/12/2006 5:11:48 PM
A few things I'd like to mention:

Don't fully count on the bus, the largest bus company called Novelo had suddenly gone, exactly on the date I arrived to Belize this January. They still have some small companies providing the service, not reliable I'd doubt. On the other hand, domestic flights are highly recommended. Those small engine airplanes are cool, 4-6 seat only, prices are cheap, always on time and most importantly very safe. Say your flight is 2:30pm, you'd need to arrive 20 mins before. No custom, no baggage check in, no hassles at all. You'll get on the plane at 2:25 then take off at 2:30 exactly. What is more, your bonus to have that panoramaic view from the sky, it's stunning and a real treat. While a 3-hour road trip by taxi, likely you'll be charged US $200-300 (I'm not kidding), take a plane for US $50-80 then you'll be landed in anywhere less than 30 minutes, do the math. Two major domestic airlines are Maya Island Airways and Tropic Air, both are good. www.mayaairways.com / www.tropicair.com

**************************************************************************************************
10 Days Highlight

Day 1~ Fly into the international airport near "Belize City", spend 1 night and no more than that. Check out the "Swing Bridge" and the "Fort George Lighthouse", stick in that area and go no further. For budget hotels: www.greathousebelize.com or www.belizebiltmore.com

Day 2-5 ~ Take a ferry (the Marine Terminal is right next to the Swing Bridge) to the colorful town "San Pedro" (1.5 - 2 hr). Go further north there is "Ambergris Caye" or go down to south that's the less touristy "Caye Caulker". Simply paradise, the water is clear as crystal. If you're seasoned divers, you must visit the Blue Hole, a 12 foot deep cave which the entrance often attracts the fairy basslet, you'll see all the colorful fishes there, amazingly beautiful. It's a 20-minute boat ride from San Pedro. Too many choices of hotel, the one I stayed was called "Salamander Hideaway" at far north of the Ambergris Caye. Owner is a German who can cook and sing, 6-course home made dinner served every night. www.salamanderbelize.com

Day 6-7 ~ From San Pedro Airstrip, take the airplane back to Belize City to the Municipal Airport instead (cos fares are much cheaper than international). From Municipal you should fly down to "Dangriga", the jungle area. Take a bus or taxi to the "Cayo district", check out the largest Mayan Ruins (in Belize) called "Caracol". Forget about the rest as they're much smaller. Recommend "Jaguar Paw" the jungle lodge located on 215 acres of the rain forest, there you can enjoy the tube caves and zipline, fun fun fun, must try. All 16 rooms are decorated in different themes, very interesting. www.jaguarpaw.com

Day 8-9 ~ Heading to "San Ignacio" by bus or taxi, approximately 2-hour from the Cayo district. Stay in the "Lodge at Chaa Creek", a magnificent setting on 330 acres of rolling hills above the "Macal River ". A bit pricy from US $120-180/room. For budget traveler, there's the "Macal River Safari Camp" on the same site, offering small rooms on individual wooden platforms at US $55 only. Local meals are included. www.chaacreek.com

Day 10 ~ Take a 2-hour bus back to Belize City then fly back to your home sweet home. By pass the capital "Belmopan", trust me, you have nothing to lose.

Have fun

I always make a copy of my passport, ID and all the credit cards I bring along, and keep that copy alone in a separate hand carry. I find a handy calculator is very useful indeed.

I learned
Posted: 10/12/2006 2:34:39 PM
Today I've learned that my mission is accomplished.... it's such a RELIEF....I AM FREE!!!!!!

Free as a bird I can fly without wings.
In six months the first time I wanted to sing.
No more pretending, no more suffering.
I'm who I'm, you're who you're, nothing; really; matters.
We're just two missing puzzles in the whole game.
Now the master has taken it over, finally.
My sanity sustains.
Thank You Heavenly Father.

What touches youre heart ?
Posted: 10/8/2006 11:04:44 PM
There was a time in Dominican Republic, I had sun-bathing by myself on a seclude white sand beach nearby a village. Shortly I was surrounded by a family of local kids, they're talking to me though I couldn't understand a word. But I happened to have a large pack of smarties with me, hence I pulled it out from my bag and shared with them. All in a sudden the eldest boy had run a long way back and forth, came back with his baby sister in his arms, sharing the smarties I'd given them. Thereafter we spent the whole afternoon building sand castles and taking photos together. Had so much fun.

Just before I left, I said I wanted a pen....... that boy again, he ran such a long..................way home to grab it for me. Despite very little English he'd spoken, I managed to put down his address. I promised I'd send him the photos plus more chocolates as soon as I'd returned home. The moment they waved me goodbye with tears in their eyes, had profoundly touched my heart that I'd never forget. The other thing I'd never forgive myself, is that I didn't keep my promise......until I'd lost the address forever.

In five years I couldn't let go, imagined how disappointed the kids would have been. Longing to go back someday, kids will you be there waiting for me?

Fake stories/thread
Posted: 9/24/2006 7:42:38 AM
Eric.... I'm a BIG girl born in 1964

My point is, forums are like communities, regulars come here often to discuss rather than taking advice. Or sometimes it may help to add a few laughs by reading some good jokes. It's all about networking, socializing. Let's forget about those nonsense like: fiance in military located in Iraq, woman claimed herself having affairs with other guy, posted a thread to present the drama with all graphic details...that sort. Who's fooling whom after all, I simply wouldn't waste more than 30 seconds to read a post like that.

But ChaoticDreamer said it well: [Having forums such as this helps a person open up and ask for help. If 90% of the discussions {issues} were false and the other 10% is real people asking for genuine help and we give it...then we have done some good.]

For myself, I'm here to kill time, to get inspired, to improve my English as a second language..... So far, I've found it quite rewarding and fruitful indeed. Not to mention I've met my dream man here

Blessings to all and have a peaceful Sunday.

In the name of God, I'm genuine and so my words. Been here for 5 months, noticed many of the threads and postings have become readable, rational, thus made more sense. We all know and appreciate this is a free dating site, however, to maintain its quality up to a certain standard is the ultimate task IMHO. I've learned much in the past few months, in hopes to learn something good and new continously, in the years to come. Well done.

Self Mutilation or nervous habit?
Posted: 9/21/2006 5:23:10 PM
It could be something to do with hormonal balance. Say myself if I've gone through a lot of stress or lacked of sleep (normally due to work), my body would easily get rash on the back or legs. Sometimes it gets pretty serious and ugly that I may need to take medicine. But most of the time I just get rest and relax then it'll be recovered in a few months.

Better check it out with the doctor rather than speculate, my 2 cents anyway.

My Love Poems
Posted: 9/18/2006 1:02:08 PM
Missing the gentleness of you kiss
If I had but only one wish
Sitting next to me instead
Snuggling with me on the bed
It’s a lasting dream no one can steal
Nothing can change how I feel
Guy, you know I miss you so
All aglow you made my heart
Cause only you and I together
We'll be counting the stars forever
Always craving your touch
Loving you with my heart so much
Over many miles I would go
To be with you I want you to know

Scorpio, these poems are so beautiful and touching. I wish I could write this well. May I use the one "Missing You A Lot" and I've done a bit touch up on it, hope you wouldn't mind. This is dedicated to someone I dearly loved, the one I couldn't get him out of my mind. He knows who he is........missing you crazy......

Laid Back vs. Bright
Posted: 9/6/2006 10:17:19 AM
How often you hear people describe themselves as laid-back in metropolitans like NYC, London, Tokyo or Hong Kong? More likely you'd hear people in South America telling you they're sort of laid-back, if you happen to complain about they're not being productive or effective. To me, laid-back means a lack of enthusiasm, someone takes his/her responsibility way TOO easy, knowing that he/she could give a best shot to get a job done, but he/she wouldn't bother to do so......all because he/she is a so-called LAID BACK person. Nothing wrong with that you may say, just kind of attitude you won't find it in any bright person as a matter of fact. Indeed, a bright person tends to be more dedicated and competent, in my humble opinion.

Let her win? Yes or no?
Posted: 9/4/2006 12:42:24 PM
Perhaps it's not about winning or losing, it's about balancing our relationship. Consider billiard or snooker is a men dominated sport, 9 out of 10 times when a couple hit the pool, who'd bet on the lady who may win?? Nevertheless, billiard plays an important part in my love affairs, I've been excelled in this sport, have had beaten all my ex in the past 20 years!!!! Funny I still remember each time their jaws dropped in amazement when I gave the black a long nice shot.

If you've read this far, I bet your eyes rolling and thinking “big deal huh?” Alright my point is; whenever you're participating in any kind of sports or games with your beloved, take it for fun for love for granted, just not for COMPETITION. Somebody must be good at something. Nobody is good at nothing. If I've won you over the billiard, I know you'd have beaten me on car racing. If you go deep sea diving, I can sky dive to watch over you and waving. If your bowling average is 230, my target shooting average is 350.

So baby, you don't have to let me win, when I win I win, I just want you to be impressed!! On the other hand, I don't have to let you win. You must you have and you WILL win, when you win I will only love you more!! Because you're my man, you're the one that I look up to. Why would I want to put down my hero makes no sense. So are you ready for a billiard or shooting game?

hidden movie gems
Posted: 9/3/2006 5:05:11 AM
* K-19 The Widowmaker / 2002
~ Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, acted by Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson
~ A controversy of cold war politics and patriotism between US and Soviet, that led to the Soviet nuclear submarine disaster in 1961, based on the true story by Louis Nowra. The film cost $100,000,000 was not financed by any major studio at the time, making it one of the most expensive independent films to date. Production made no surprise but Harrison Ford & Liam Neeson were just awesome.

* Missippi Burning / 1988
~ Directed by Alan Parker, acted by William Dafoe and Gene Hackman
~ A Civil Rights murder conspiracy that involved FBI and 3K gangsters. Very powerful screenplay and serious production. Not to mention this is William Dafoe's master piece; apart from my all time favorite - The Platoon.

* Midnight Express / 1978
~ Also directed by Alan Parker, acted by Brad Davis
~ Based on the true story of an American Billy Hayes, who got caught in Turkey when smuggling drugs. The controversial is about his time being served in the barbaric prison was not at all justified nor humanized. The music of the film was incredibly touching.

How nosy are you?
Posted: 9/3/2006 3:19:49 AM
Practical thread. Haven't gone through all the pages, by reading some latest feedback I'm amazed by some posters, for the morality they're holding against human decency. Let's put it this way.

Being nosy: Gossip about which celebrity gets pregnant before getting married, interrogate your friends about his or her secret lovers, ask your neighbors what they think about the single mom with 3 kids living upstairs....etc.

Invasion of privacy: Hacking somebody's e-mail, voice or instant messages, password or that sort. Doesn't matter it's your partner, your children, your parents, your cousin, or your maid. It gives you no right to do so without any concerned party's awareness or consent or whatsoever. (Am aware some of the parents would install the key logger in the PC; in order to keep track their children's on line activities. That may or may not justified, but I'd prefer to educate my kids how to be trusted).

Whoever gets nothing to hide does not necessarily mean they're welcoming spy. Whoever gets cheated does not immediately entitled to be a hacker. I feel terribly sorry for those who believe an eye for an eye, or those who make up extremely stupid excuses to justify their irritating acts. Why'd you take somebody home that you simply don't trust? If you can't afford a hotel or motel then better withhold your urge until that somebody can be trusted, or your financial statement gets improved, whichever comes first.

Premeditated killing is considered first degree murder, whereas killing impulsively could be manslaughter. Can you or can you not differentiate a felony and wrong doing? Think it over.
