I thought hanging out is just a boring date. Nothing wrong with it, so long as the parties have no expectations beyond 'hanging out'; why is this a concern?

Try to catch a guy when he's not full of his own ego. Luckily there is a simple test. If his butt is not wiggling even ever so slightly, you know he is in the proper relaxed state of mind. Be careful, some butts have been known to vibrate from the ferocity of the ego at such speeds that are imperceptible to the naked eye. Other than that, don't start off with a tired old joke.

I paint my toenails, do fifty situps and then balance my checkbook. I find it really puts me in the proper frame of mind. No, what are we talking about? Personal hygiene? Certainly, you should look your best and so should everything that is an extension of you (car, clothes, jewelry, wig, handbasket of fruit) if you want to make a positive impression. I mean who wants to turn the other person off because the grapes you are carrying are showing signs of mold and fruit flies? It's disgusting not to mention inedible! And don't think that the people you introduce your date to aren't an extension of you as well. Learned that the hard way. Now everyone I introduce my dates to must go through a thorough inspection and quality control beforehand. You just can't be too careful!!

Scarlett has a point, in some cases the knowledge in the science of cunnilingus is lacking, not the art. Guy might understand how to apply paint to a wall, and the floor, ceiling, curtains and pets inadvertently, and it might do the trick. But there's all sorts of knowledge to be had yet. At what point will he be an artist?

The way I'd understand "freaky" is a partner ready to do anything, anytime, anywhere, that was mutually enjoyable. I'm not sure where the defining line of inhibitions becomes a question of watersports, or pretending you're not human and hiding in a closet, or throwing shitballs, or anything else that few people (i'd expect) would enjoy at all. Oral sex in the car is cliché, and dangerous if you're doing it well. But being unpredictable in when and where and how you please your partner is ideal. Is that what we are talking about in finding this ideal 'freak' potential? Admittedly, I've never been too bizarre in the how where it comes to dress, tools, or.... animals? I have no trick that I do with a stick of butter and a roll of lifesavers, and I keep all my excrement in the toilet. Does that leave me with low freak potential?

Reading this thread, my thoughts are that the desire for knowledge makes one keen to any deceitfulness, that if a trust with a partner is broken, that can be overwhelming. But in my experience, longing for love is sometimes the greater desire. You might accept an apology and trust your partner again, ask for more open dialog about interests. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, and I too suffer.
