Housing is a right, or is it?
Posted:

Ithink every Canadian should have access to housing. I think if there is money to send to other countries and to bring in refugees then we should have plenty of money to have housing for Canadians.

Have you ever been Lost?
Posted:
1/31/2009 12:50:16 PM
I am always getting lost but the most interesting one was when I got lost driving home from Mexico. It was where 4 states meet, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. It was getting scary because it was in the middle of nowhere and it got dark. I was tired and frusterated but eventually found my way again.

There is an expression that states if someone will cheat with you they will cheat on you and she has already done that with your friend. Are you prepared to always be wondering what she is up to when you aren't with her?

When someone tells you something about themself believe them. She said she doesn't trust men, that alone should make you run for the hills. Most people have been hurt by the opposite sex for whatever reason and we have to trust again at some point or we will be alone alot more than we might want.

When my marriage first ended, I said I would never get married again, that I would never put myself in the position to be hurt again. Now that I have moved on and dealt with the ending of my marriage, I think I would be open to the idea of marriage again. I did love being married and would be willing to do it again.

In Canada we have lots of different cultures, not just 2. For years and years Canada was a country with 1 National language and we did fine, there was no need to change it.

I agree that a country should have one national language. Canada technically has 2 but majority of Canadians speak only English. When Canada changed to 2 languages all it did was cost millions of dollars and didn't do any good for our country.

It depends on the topic. If it is a subject I am interested in I might look through a few posts, I just skip the long ones but will read posts that are short and to the point. They are usually the ones that are most interesting and make the most sense.

Man drags pit bull to death -- after it killed his chihuahua
Posted:

The guy is a total idiot. Anyone that can be that cruel doesn't care about animals period. What would he have done to the chihuahua when he p$$$ed off his owner one day? which would happen sooner or later
Whatever sentence he ends up getting won't be enough in mho.

The Death Penalty - When is it ever justified?
Posted:
6/17/2008 7:50:44 PM
It is the same in Canada, our jails too are full of poor people and minorities. The reason most of them are there is because they committed a crime. It has nothing to do with politics. They committed a crime.

The Death Penalty - When is it ever justified?
Posted:
6/17/2008 7:19:23 PM
The only time it is justifiable to kill another human being is in self-defense or in the case of police in the line of duty. Once a person is in prison who ever puts him to death is also a murderer.
This is a topic that the ones that believe in the death penalty aren't going to convince us that don't and vice versa.
It is interesting to see the different view points though.

Posted:

I don't believe in the death penalty because the person who injects the needle, hangs him, electrocutes him etc, is killing him because he is getting paid to do it, to me that is also murder. Also here in Canada we have had cases where the person has been innocent of the charges and spent many years in prison and if we had the death penalty they might of been executed.

Magpies and other problem wildlife
Posted:
6/14/2008 3:26:10 PM
Your story reminded me of an incident a few years ago with my cat.
2 magpies ganged up on her. she was sitting on a fence
when 1 sat in front of her and as she started to go towards it,
it flew over her to get behind her and then pulled her tail.
Another one then flew down to land in front of her,
so she had one in front and one behind her tormenting her.
I had to go out and rescue her.

People facing starvation
Posted:
6/7/2008 8:40:51 AM
What I find really offensive is that in Canada (can't speak for U.S.) we have people homeless, going hungry etc and that is just wrong. We are sending millions if not billions to other countries to help feed them but we have our own people going hungry.
I do feel sorry for other people from other countries but I think we should take care of our own first, then send money to other countries that need help. It is like your children need shoes and your neighbors children need shoes and you buying your neighbor's children shoes and yours go without. That is just wrong.
We have soup kitchens that have to beg for donations when our money is being sent elsewhere, they shouldn't have to ask for donations.
Also a country like Canada, our medicine and all schooling, (University and College) should be paid for by the government. These are necessities not luxuries. Take care of your own before sending to other countries or at least send less so you can take care of your own first.

I think it depends on the person and how he/she deals with things. My ex and I did the exact opposite, he got back out there and started another relationship right away, I wanted to be by myself to get over the loss, grief for the relationship, until I was ready to start over with someone else.

I usually don't read long posts, you can usually say what you need to in a couple of small paragraphs.
People that write long posts are like those people who like to hear themselves talk, boring.
