I have pictures added now and hope you like them, sorry they are not of a high standard, I thought I would just use my mobile and not all came out properly. If there is anyone with pictures I would like to hear from you.

I really did enjoy myself dancing on Friday and my feet feel fine ....hmm or is part of my brain still numb...... think I had a few more drinks than usual that night but hey who was counting

I must say it feels really good to bring folks together to take part in something they enjoy, and to hear back from you.

Hi Folks
Another good night at the Babylon Lounge, it was a bit subdued numbers wise, then again we were on the same weekend as Bonfire night and right after Halloween, so I believe we had a good turn out.

We certainly had a good mix of regular and new faces with a large amount of socialising between the two groups.

The DJ's did well so thanks to them, and best wishes to their sick collegues Paddy and Jerry, hope you both get better soon.

Pictures will be added later as not home yet and do not have leads with me, any one else with pictures to add contact me and we will sort them out ASAP.

Until next time keep on dancing and stay safe

Carole I'm sure if you did not do your make up it would not be Halloween all over again, I am amazed at how you ladies are able to highlight your beauty with makeup and even if it takes a while with such skill.

Lou it will be good to see you again also, catch you tonight.

Pete sorry you can not make it tonight, your not the only one with trouble on Fridays there are quite a few in the same boat. Thankfully there are other meets on other nights, some are in other areas but the next one I know of in Brighton is the Karaoke on the 5th Dec hosted by Zeegary at the Blule Lagoon:

Hopefully they will be on soon to give us a clue how to find them

Micky sorry you can not make it, look forward to catching up with you soon I hope.

Hopefully you will be able to make it darkcress, we are all sure you will enjoy yourself.

Hopefully it wont be to cold to enjoy the view of the beach and if it is not cloudy there will be a bit of the moon to light the sea.

But then what we are interested in is the good music going on inside for us to dance to, that is something we can look forward to regardless of the moon and weather

Bob PoF do prohibit hosts from charging other members entrance etc.

How ever Pof also say
Small cover charges to a venue are acceptable if they are charged by the venue as a normal course of operations.

I am not charging anything, the venue organisers are, and it is something they always do.

Hope that answers your question, and will we see you there for a spin round the dance floor

This is an evening of good music for those who like to meet new people and dance to good music of a wide variety covering Mowtown, Soul, Reggae, 70-80’s Disco, Ska and a sprinkling of 90’s RnB / Club Classics, these guys do know their dance music.

There are flyers available for a £3 admission before 10.30pm.
Those of you in the Brighton and Hove area should be able to pick them up at various venues in the town.

For those of you out of the Brighton and Hove area and those of you in the area having trouble spotting them you can follow the following link to download your own.

I am sorry to hear that some are not so happy with their pictures displayed. If any one is unhappy with the pictures displayed message me direct and I will do my best to remove them as soon as possible.

I would like to thank Mark for taking the pictures and putting them up for me, something he did of his own free will and time. Thanks Mark

If any body else has pictures they wish to share let me know and we can then set about arranging getting them up for the other members to share.

Thanks everyone for coming and having a good time

It was good to see so many people enjoying themselves and look forward to your comments.

Pictures will be added ASAP, Mark aka Tactile Guy took a lot for us so big thanks to him , and if there is any one who has pictures they would like to share with us please contact me so it can be arranged.

Andy aka blueepodi, I am sorry to have deleted your post, but PoF do not like people leaving mobile numbers on their threads or posting them on their profiles. I have passed your mobile number onto another Worthing member and hopefully you will hear from russ999 soon.

blueepodi left this message earlier

<div class="quote">would love to but need lift from worthing

Andy

Hopefully you can sort something out on short notice.

The other thing the Worthing members can do is get a train over and share a cab back, Brighton members have done this many times in attending Worthing meets.

Look forward to seeing you all soon and enjoy good music with an almost full moon backdrop on the beach.

I really dont understand...
Posted: 9/30/2009 4:11:40 AM
You do need to read someone Else's profile in order to get a favourable response.

You might find some of the ladies, (apart from the other reasons given) are thinking

"WTF, what type of music do I like, it's in my profile" followed by "If he can not be bothered to do some simple reading, then I can not be bothered to answer stupid questions"

I have formed a good friendship with someone who for ages just sent me 5-6 word replies. My messages also got shorter but now we have a damn good laugh when we catch up at the PoF Meets.

Take the time to read, have concise ideas about your message, not too much meandering, and yes ask a question them (preferable) or add something about your thoughts that will leave them wondering what does he mean, in such a way that they feel impelled to contact you ( not so easy and very hard to get right).

You will have better responses if you leave them with something to answer, if you have pique their interest.

Leaving them with the feeling s/he nice I will get back sometime can get lost in the wash of life.

Other wise the other answer is, you dont cut the mustard, no chemistry, and they are busy answering someone's message that really sparked their imagination.

Thing is to keep trying and one day it will be in reverse, some will be in contact email mode with you will some newbie will be asking the question in your OP

We have a good number on the sign up and still plenty of time for a few more to join us.

One tip for you members that are now starting to come a long to meets:

Open up your filters as much as possible then you can allow other meet goers to contact with regards to travelling together or catching up prior to the meet so you don't have to arrive alone.

Stellax did try to get hold of you when I saw others from your area sign up and was unable. Altafica would not have been able to contact you as you have the must be male box ticked as well as other restrictions on who can contact you.

When you contact some outside your restrictions it does then open up the doors to friendship. Though by opening out your restrictions friendships can form, as I have seen many do so.

Just something for all you newbies to think about, the more you get to enjoy the meets.

Hope everyone is having a good week and will be in party mood come Friday

sorry to burst your bubble Chippy 2, but my singing doesn't improve no matter how much you drink.

You dont know how much we can drink, and even if it does not improve only the sober ones will know who sang what so the bribes wont cost a lot to keep it quiet

No body is forced to sing by the way, does not mean people wont try a wee bit of encouraging and qite a few still have yet to take the stage and we know who you are

Main thing is for all to have a good time, and make new friends or have a catch up

Stellax I have had a quick look down the list and trsitam from Chichester along with bikergalrach from Portsmouth are the only 2 signed up so far coming from your direction of Southampton so far.

Stellax hope you can sort yourself out to come it was good seeing you at the Littlehampton meet and you may have had a chat with tristam as he was there also, if I have not got my faces muddled

Coolmark60 can not see anyone from Bedford signed up yet, but now you have the shout out lets hope others will see it and get in touch for you to arrange traveling down together.

pete0433 can see your signed up on the OP so your on the list like every one else who has hit the Sign Up To This Party button.

Wow this is a good start to the meet, only been up a few hours and a nice mix of new and regular faces ( for some reason they don't like being called old, which after all is the opposite of new!! )

For those of you who have not been before, you can bring friends along to give you support until you get to know some faces and make new friends.

I went to the last one and there was a Full Moon, which was glorious, this coming month the meet is 2 days before the Full Moon.
This means you can enjoy the Moon lighting up the sea on the night.
Plus if you get to arrange a date on the Sunday, it will be lit by a Full Moon, the rest is up to you.

Sorry to hear that not everyone can make it, we all understand that family and work comes first.

It is really looking like it has the makings of a good meet, with a good mixture of old and new faces.

We promise to be gentle with you, if this is your first meet (this time ) but I am pretty sure that you will enjoy yourselves and if not this meet will be joining in with the banter like old friends on your next meet.

On the whole we are a pretty laid back bunch and enjoy making friends and nothing more is expected of any one, but to relax and join in the conversations as you feel is right for you.

With the list getting so long I can see me thinking about packing some sarnies just in case

I have a Bright Orange furry tiger fish that I will be wearing about my person, most likely on a hat, so you can see where we are.

Hi lucielo69

Everyone I know now admits to being a bit nervous about their first meet. You are allowed to bring a guests with you to make it a more relaxing experience for you, and this goes for those new to meets or if you have a few meets under your belt.

Something that I have said on other meets that members also find works quite well, is for the members attending to message one another and make friends prior to the meet, or reacquaint previousily made friendships. You can arrange to meet up and arrive together.

One thing people do get out of doing this is an open dialogue with someone else who is attending that can be carried on at the meet.

This can give you at least one friendly face to look out for other than that of your hosts. I have seen some good friendships start out this way.

Have a good bank ho;iday weekend folks

English 66 it is good to have you along.

Only a couple of weekends to go now until the big day.

Your hosts, being myself and Dixiey are planning to do something to stand out from the crowd. Myself I have a Furry Bright Orange Shark that I am going to try and attach to one of my hats, while Dixiey has told me she is hoping to find a fish shape balloon or 2 to wave about for you to see.

My mobile number is available if any one coming is concerned about not finding the meet. Message me privately and I will send it to you.

Please DO NOT leave your mobile numbers here as this is for your own safety and against Plenty Of Fish rules for safe use of the forums

Good to hear you are with us and no longer laid up Dixiey.

We are always gentle with newbies, remembering how we were in the beginning ourselves. I am sure you will feel at ease fairly quickly with the faces I recognise from the sign up.

And any way dont you think we hosts don`t get to thinking...... "OMG there are so many new ones, what if they don't like me or the meet. Lets run away and hide"

Sexymum yes kids are welcome, it's a day at the beach for one, and I know of a few other mum`s who might come along with their kids once they have had a chance to check their calendars.

It is good to see so many signed up in such a short space of time, could I please ask people to use the sign up button in the OP so we can see at a glance who is coming.

Reason for the sign up request is some like Lesley leave messages of best wishes because they are unable to come.

We hope to see those that are working / unable to make it or on holiday at another meet soon.

Killing Moon it is good to see you sign up, and I will do my best to encourage some nice young lads to come along for you to meet. ~ So lads if your looking sign up and more young ladies will come a long.

Mick the fish will have already been caught, so no need to worry about trying to catch your own lunch.

I should also say it is good to see so many new faces in amongst some of the veterans, and right nice friendly bunch there are....what a day this is going to be see you soon

Sunday lunch time get togethers have been a fairly popular event among Plenty of Fish members in the past, and on this occasion we have a new host that is well known by members in a new location, Littlehampton. There are some really nice fish and chip shops along Pier Road facing the closest part of the river, the favourite of the hosts being Osca’s, and if the weather is a little unkind or you fancy a proper Sunday Lunch there is the Windmill Harvester. By the Harvester is a car park which is one of eleven in Littlehampton.
It is a reasonable walk from the station through the town centre and following the link below you can explore some of the area.

Hosts:

Dixiey

Don’t forget to bring the things you would need for a day at the beach and we are near the amusement park.

START OF SUMMER HOLIDAYS CAMPING WEEKEND
Posted: 7/24/2009 3:48:00 AM
Looking forward to seeing folks later, hopefully wonrt be too damp when erecting tents, but in the morning will be in the best place to make the most of the good weather promised fro tomorrow...ie not stuck on the road

Had a bit of a cough this week and been a bit breathless , so not sure how much help I can give peeps in setting up once I have my tent up. But will be around to help out with advice.

See you all soon

PS for those of you still wondering where the usual place we pitch up is, here are some directions, sorry I did not feel up to posting them earlier

The spot we try to get is found by turning left when entering into the touring field (that is the one for tents and caravans escorted by cars) going past the toilet block until you reach the far end of that straight, just after a couple of small trees on your right, ie same side of the road as the toilet block.

Most of the time you are free to pitch where you like at these sites, but we do try to pitch in the same area each time other campers allowing. Also no-one will be upset if you want to camp away from the bunch.

As for those shorts, they will be putting in more appearances through the summer, after all what being covered in fish they are a great way of flying the POF flag.

Are any of you ladies going to join us with a Fishie themed bikini in the future ?

Even though I got there a bit late, I had a really good time catching up with folks.

It was a real friendly venue and got a chance to speak to some of the locals, who admitted they were not sure about us being there on hearing about the meet. But after meeting everyone did tell me as far as they were concerned we are welcome any time, lets hope the management feel the same way

Pity I did not get to support the locals with their fund raising endeavours, from what I hear their local charity does good work and after the comments would have been nice to support them, and I hear the prizes were pretty nifty as well.

Well done the hosts for finding such a friendly place to meet.

Been a while since I have been to Shoreham beach and this seems like as good a reason as any to go again. Good company, good conversation, good drink (if the specials are right that weekend) and not forgetting good food - well and truly burnt by all concerned

See you soon

Chichester spring camping weekend photo's and comments.

Been a bit slow at saying what a great time I had with such good people, made new friends as well as catch up with faces I already knew.

Thanks go to everyone who looked out for us when I was feeling a bit rough round the edges, and glad me being off colour did not spoil the weekend.

The Weather was great and I got a bit of a tan now, redness is fading to a nice colour now, weekend was so relaxing even with everything that went on, something I really needed.

Pictures show just how much folks mucked in and shared the experience well, roll on the next one, er which if I remember right Saucy asked me to think about setting up as she is a bit tied up for the next few months.

Well we will definitely have one in August to celebrate our 2nd anniversary of camping at Chichester, of which there has been at least 9 now.

Hopefully we can squeeze another one in some where in the calendar, thanks Saucy for the first 2 camps of this year, and Jacquie for hosting on this one
