That all guys like boobies. I'm an ass man. That the only thing men think about is sex. I love to think about food. And no, combining the two does not appeal to me. That guys are only interested until you have settled down into a relationship. It isn't that I lose interest in you. It's that there are only so many hours in a day, and I have stupid things to wire, solder, bolt and nail. If you would hold the soldering iron and the power drill, we could easily double our time together. That guys will screw anything. I'll have you know that every guy has one friend whose wife is so hideous we openly make fun of him for sticking his dick in her, often while she is standing there pouting. And it is every man's goal to not become that guy. In fairness, I did have a lady friend once who I also did this to for her choice of guys. This I creatively rephrased as, "You really let that loser stick his dick in you?" That guys think women can be bought. I'll have you know that diverts money from more important things, like HDTVs or chrome rims. That guys resent women for making us grow up. Not true, because I haven't bought in yet, and unless you want to be the guy getting mocked (see above. we're terrible, shallow creatures), you won't buy in either.

Strip clubs are bad news for guys who can't keep it in perspective. That's one of the advantages women have -- if you guys go to a strip club it's just a lark. Some dude in a Speedo thrusts his junk in your face and you all giggle and give him a 20 and that's it. No harm, no foul. For guys, it's a friggin induction into a whole other lifestyle. What's worse is there is a sort of sick dare among guys to see how close to the line you can get without crossing it. And a handful of guys blow so far past the line that they can't see it in the rearview mirror. The personality type usually doesn't limit things to titty bars, either. Addictive personalities have nothing against being addicted to more and more things. Then one day you find out he spent $50,000 on coke and horse racing, although the horse racing was just trying to raise more money to buy more coke. Most guys have some perspective. A lot just do it because their buddies are doing it and they don't want to be called queer. You'd be surprised how many guys do it because they're shy or social maladjusted. Some do it because they're bored and horny on a Saturday night. But, there is a core group of guys who just really like that sense of having blown hundreds of dollars in less than an hour. These same guys think they can do card counting and have a system for betting football, too (FTR, both of these are viable but require discipline, not flippant degeneracy, to work). And half the thrill is sitting there broke as **** by Sunday morning. - - - Now, on a lighter note, I will share a great stripper story. legend, actually. Around these parts (rural western PA) there is the legend of the one-armed stripped. Not just any one-armed stripped. This one one-armed stripper has a backstory. Her BF shot her arm off with a shotgun. Didn't say it was a long backstory. Just that there was a backstory. And if anyone is worried about how she's faring, fret not. The word is she ODed. Why go to a normal bar? Why meet women who aren't drugged up? Why meet women whose (presumably former) BFs don't blow off body parts with firearms? Because, let's face it. Some guys just like their thrills expensive and shitty.

You need to consider the demographic here. For whatever reason, PoFers have already demonstrated a failure in love. It counts in both possible ways. First, because a person who has had a bad run in love gets a little washy and is quick to disengage. Second, because those who have a history of not stepping up in real-life aren't going to step up online. Also, don't let the "fish" part escape you about Plenty of Fish. Some people are just fishing.

And I mean, give an honest answer. A lot of women tolerate a lot of BS just because they're so scared of being alone. 3) Have you both discussed his sexuality, and for that matter yours? A lot of women just drift past this part, praying it never becomes an issue. 4) Do both of you have the social support mechanism necessary to sustain you through the inevitable bullshit people are going to fling at you for this? I'm a little concerned, because if you're asking us online, I wonder if we're the only people who are capable of being supportive.

When you're just being around her and get a kick out of it. Most of my relationships have evolved out of work, school, business or other settings where you have to interact a lot. Now, I'm a bit standoffish of a person, anyhow. I'm not one to just dive into things. So, you have to be around me a bit before I'm going to fire with you. That's where I think actively seeking dating sucks. Because you're basically running a random sequence of weirdos and praying that one of them ends up being your type -- and that you realize it before the person is gone.

Some of it is that most people in your age range aren't on POF unless they're, um ... relationship challenged. At 21, the market's still pretty open. That's why this place is like MILFville. As you get older, short of an affair at work, find someone gets harder. At your age, you're really not trying hard enough, or you won't lower your standards, or maybe you're not paying much attention to those paying attention to you. At 21, even downright hideous people can find someone.

The religion itself is no big deal. The intensity of the religiosity is a whole other issue. I'm on the border between atheist and Buddhist, depending on how I feel that particular hour. So, a good Bible-pounding broad would be more than a bit off-putting. But, a decent Christian girl who wants us all to obey "Love thy neighbor" is no big deal.

Holding aside the basic discussion about whether this is an overused diagnostic (it is waaaay overused), it certainly sounds like a starting point. I ain't for real. Somewhere along the way, after college, I just got socially disengaged enough that it is hard to find new women.
