A comment that is often made is "I notice everyone here is with someone else" and new people showing up should realise that some of the people that go to the dances are old friends and often dance/talk to them at these events. Take a chance, say hello, start a conversation or ask someone to dance.......and most important.......HAVE FUN

I would make sure to try some wonderful restaurants Preston Street - for Italian Food Sommerset Street for Chinese/Thi/Vietnamese Dancing on Elgin Street and the CASINO du Lac Lemay of course

Watch the FORUMS, Atomic Rooster this Saturday, the DJ takes requests,,,,,, Lonestar, east end has all sorts of bands, watch for the names. Disco inferno plays around Ottawa, they are awsome.....

Want to add another step to this imaginary scene............ Your kids really like the other person, they are involved in the "imaginary relationship" and then one day, right in front of you......they give their phone number to someone......make advances on someone.......and then expect you to be the one going home with them.......... You find out quick......it wasn't a relationship.....and I don't think a friend would treat you like this also.....so what was it??

Talking only by email is like "make believe" The best is to get out to some of the events in the forums, example: Single Euchre, then you get to meet in a very easy relaxed atmosphere.

He should be tested for sure. Most people are very frightened to have their child "labelled". But worst case is he got labelled, was allowed extra teacher help in school, was given extra teaching tools and attention, more time for exams, a computer to take home, some special software to help with typing out assignments,,,,etc....... Make sure to go to the library and read a few books......it is a very difficult thing for a parent to "accept", after you get past that point, you will see the huge difference all the extra help, encouragement, is doing for him...

Since my post went at the end of the other posts, i will repeat (((Please allow me to shout it out, I WOULD LEAVE DATING SITES IN LESS THAN A HEARTBEAT IF I FOUND SOMEONE. There is no way in heck I would need this place, even for the forums, if I were with someone. This has been a problem with everyone I have met, they just couldn't let go of their dating sites. I would much rather be alone than spend my time with someone who thinks he has to live on his computer even when we are together. I have spent way to much time behind this computer screen and for some time now have not been looking but believe me when I say the dating sites would be history if I found my special someone BUT if that special someone kept on with his dating sites he would definitely be history.))

I will be a grandma soon and I will for sure babysit some......definately not every weekend, and it would be a lot more fun if I was spending a quiet evening at home with someone and "she" was up some of the time and then sleeping and I had company while staying home.
