Jeannie, thanks for your response! I hope more people give their feedback. The owner of the venue says he'd like to try to plan the event for this coming Valentines Day.

i found its cheaper to go in December though...during the week of the rodeo. airfare for two people from ny: 3days/2 nights at the signature (Mgm) =$700 total!

I also just got back, i ended up going for my bday. It was great. Again i stayed at the Signature, voted the best stateside luxury hotel by trip advisor. The heat was only overbearing the first day (8/21) but Vegas is full of indoor activities. The front desk sent me chocolate covered strawberries and a box of spa chocolates to my room when they found out it was my bday. we went to see the Cirque show " Ka" which was so spectacular in visual effects. The engineering in the floating stage was a sight to see. We then took a limo ride to the stratosphere and had dinner at "top of the world" revolving restaurant. TOTW is the finest restaurant ive been to in a long time. great for a meaningful dinner (romantic/milestone bday etc.) our concierge helped us book a trip with showtime tours to the grand canyon when we returned from dinner. The canyon was awesome and we opted for the helicopter ride. Which was great but a lil nerve racking for me (im scared of heights) but none the less very beautiful. Overall the trip was long. it was supposed to be 10 hrs but became 12 as our wonderful driver stopped at Native Amercan spots along the way. He even showed us a prairie dog "city" on the way home. The next day we decided to play closer to the hotel and went to the discount ticket booth (in the mall) to get discount show tix. We saw mamma mia at Mandalay Bay...which was totally awesome! and a pet comedy show which was cool too. We gambled for the first time at the tables. Roulette was cool at MB. we found that betting on the number range was more fruitful than individual number bets. the slot machines called "half a million" was also very fruitful! Th next day we took it easy and then caught the afternoon flight back home. Every time we go to LV we stay at the MGM Signature and if we can help it, eat at the MGM Grand Buffet. Next time we go back I'd like to see the Cirque Love show (again), the Cirque "O" show and explore more of the North Strip. Maybe even spend a few days in Cali.

Hey would you attend a speed dating event in Brooklyn? or would you prefer a mixer where you approach the person on your own timing? I am trying to put together an event at a beautiful restaurant/bar in trendy fort green. all feedback is greatly appreciated.

also i would eliminate 1/2 of the images. Just keep the 2cnd, third and fifth ones. the fifth should be your main image as it is most flattering. work on trimming the profile down, there way too much info there. you have the first date to talk about those things. basic info age location work info, (stats, etc.) is all you need right now.

Banana Milkshake!!! with skim milk of course! We all know that overripe bananas make fabulous banana bread. Anyone got any other uses for them, especially something without eggs? I got the wierdest message when I tried to send this out. Something about ...for variety or some such ...the title has to be 200 characters long..... 200 character long title?? Wow in so much of what I do, I have to I edit for brevity. 200 characters in a title is hard to do. I have to have read that wrong.

OOOOH i am also thinking about this too! my bday is in AUG. Yet i am nervous for the same reasons (AUG=an oven). But if you do go, I would definetly check out the signature at mgm....its one of the best hotels in the US

YUMMMY! Coconut makes fish melt in the mouth Mix up a sauce of coconut milk (1 cup)+ fish oil (1 tsp), lime juice (2tblsps) + coriander (fresh handful) + some basil.

...But what love isn't conditional? That for your children. But even the love for siblings and parents can be mildly conditional... uhhhh, i didnt know love for your child was conditional. how can that be? love is too emotionally expensive to waste it on conditional love. People should either love or not love. i think it would be alot better for society.

i think the real answer can be found out if you ask yourself is this a girl you like or a coworker/buddy. if money is that serious go to somewhere where the menu is rated $$ as opposed to $$$. hth

in my past experience NYC is usually pub crawling/ bar hopping as everything is "going on" on NYE. i actualy drove through NYC one nye and saw the drunks walking around like zombies LOL quite scary.

wow i like this forum. my 2 cents is that bc POF is free, people are not as anxious to respond to an email. as oppsed to match or eharmony where you may be paying upwards of 60 dollars a month. in my experience it was more like "ok, let me try to respond to as many people as possible before my membership runs out." but as long as the person fits the criteria in my profile, is not innapropriate, and does not "make me barf", sure ill respond...although i may take a day or so to, thats just me being caught up in my world.

They send the wrong messages like pictures on their profile, or just by pursuasive (dress or attitude) even inthe form of communication. but when the guy reciprocates, they get defensive. In my experience, i just act like i am meeting a friend (male or female) that way no one is confused. then from there the guy can choose to see where it goes (or not). I have had one date offered to me on this site. we just never firmed the plans up (both of our fault). Then i never heard from him again. Indian
