Please tell me . What is the point?
Why does it have to have a "point," other than acting silly and having fun? Sounds like a good enough reason to me!

Are women bothered by being called miss/ma'am?
Posted:
10/17/2009 7:40:39 PM
I'm not crazy about being called ma'am, but I'm not one to get upset over something so trivial. If you don't know me, there isn't much chance you could call me by name.
Don't let the ones who get ticked off bother you; you're not doing anything wrong.

She's the greatest woman I know. A hitch of course!
Posted:
10/3/2009 4:25:52 PM
She is a woman, with free will,
And she's freely choosing to stay with her boyfriend. You lose.
I honestly could give a damn about how her boyfriend would feel. Harsh, cold hearted, or just ruthless, call me what you want.
Finally, someone who isn't here to try to convince us all what a nice guy he is. But if this woman is as great as you say she is, don't you think she deserves better than harsh, coldhearted, and ruthless?
I agree with the posters who said grow up.

How should i find her?
Posted:
8/4/2009 5:52:02 PM
all he has is her address
Before there were computer monitors, there were these things called pieces of paper. Before there were keyboards, there were things called ink pens. I'm pretty sure they both still exist.
Have your "friend" (wink, wink) find one of these pieces of paper and a pen. He can use the pen to write a message to her on said piece of paper. Fold the piece of paper and place it in an envelope. Put her name and address on the front of the envelope.
Next, go to a place called a "post office" and buy something called a "stamp." Stick the stamp on the upper right hand corner of the envelope and find the slot on the wall that says "outgoing mail." Drop the letter in that slot. If she's still at the same address, within a few days she'll receive the letter.
Old school, I know, but it just might work!

WHAT IS THE RIGHT APPROACH?
Posted:
8/4/2009 5:40:25 PM
Having pics with other girls is a no-no too as I gathered.
Being 5'5" can have an influence as well.
So can posting a pic with a caption that says you were so drunk you don't remember it being taken.
Unless all those cousins are looking for dates, lose 'em. And button your shirt.
As for how many times you should contact someone - once. If they're interested, they'll respond. If they don't respond, move on.

The spelling of your / you're in America
Posted:
7/4/2009 8:08:01 PM
Ive noticed from reading the forums that very few people in the U.S seem to know the difference between "your" and "you're" and many seem just to use "your" all of the time. The thing is that some of those who miss spell this word seem quite capable of spelling it correctly so i'm wondering if there are certain parts of the U.S where "you're" doesn't exist?
OP, if you're going to correct other people's spelling, at least get yours right. "Misspell" is one word.

P2P geek caught in $29m music copyright scrap

I'm with the belief that, if you unreasonably make something illegal,
OP, your profile doesn't mention it, but I'm going to assume you have a job. Do you get paid for that job? If so, why do you consider it unreasonable that songwriters and musicians might like to get paid for what they do, too? Filesharing and downloading music without paying for it is taking money directly out of those people's pockets.
Another word for it is theft.

When You Ask A Friend To Attend A Wedding & She Turns You Down
Posted:
5/30/2009 11:18:47 AM
She has not gotten back to me
She's not interested in attending the wedding.
She invited me two years ago to attend a wedding with her and I accepted.
This in no way obligates her to attend a wedding with you. I certainly hope you haven't been waiting two years for a chance to try to force her to reciprocate.
So in this instance I felt she made her choice to get away was more important then going to the wedding.
You're right; she did. And she was well within her rights to do so. You don't own this woman. Don't take it out on her because you don't have a date for the wedding.
As for your comment that you no longer consider her a friend, I think that makes her a very lucky lady. Nobody needs "friends" who try to control their lives.

I agree with you, Robert. The park I went to a lot as a kid had on the playground a real firetruck and a real airplane that had been retired, for kids to climb around on. And they sat on gravel. With a little imagination we were all firefighters and pilots. They've long since been replaced with plastic stuff. Now instead of playing at being little heroes the kids are just kids who can crawl through plastic tubes. Oh boy.
We also used to be able to go most anywhere with no shoes on. I know there were times when I was a kid that I took my shoes off on the last day of school and didn't put them back on until September when school started again. Yeah, we stepped on broken glass from time to time. So we just sat down, pulled the glass out of our foot, and went on about our business. We survived just fine, and our parents didn't try to find out who was responsible for the glass so that they could try to sue someone, like would happen today. And just try walking into a grocery store barefoot now and see how far you get.
I miss those days...
And thanks for the chuckle, Robert...seeing you type in your OP, "when I was young" next to that baby-faced pic...

Why Do Women Want To Sleep With You, But Not Date You?
Posted:

Probably has something to do with the fact your profile says you're looking for an intimate encounter, and also mentions "no strings attached fun." Sounds to me like you're getting exactly what you want, so what are you complaining about?
Edit: LOL...you're quick, aren't you, OP? Went from "intimate encounter" to "friends" on your profile in no time at all, didn't you?

You've been nothing but mean to her in the past, have been arguing with her for five years, and are trying to come between her and her boyfriend? I can't think of any good reasons why she'd still be talking to you. I would have stopped talking to you years ago. As for why she's not defending him, maybe she just doesn't feel any need to. Her relationship with him is their business, not yours. You really should stay out of it.

Ladies, when there is no bugspray, or boyfriend to be found, and you have to do the job up close, why do so many of you feel the need to remove your shoe to hit the bug, instead of just stepping on the damn thing.
Because if the bug is on our shoe, and the shoe is on our foot, it's like the bug is on US. Ick.

Better at cooking than you.
Posted:
4/30/2009 8:26:32 PM
Wait, are you ladies serious, is it actually that rare to find a man who can cook? I'd be interested in seeing if this is common with some of the younger crowds as well, as I'd assume more men my age (26) would be into cooking than the men who grew up in previous decades.
It's certainly not rare in my family. I grew up seeing my dad (age 83) do his share of the cooking, my brother (age 46) enjoys cooking, and my brother told me last week that his son (age 14 and an aspiring chef) recently made shrimp scampi for dinner - without a recipe.
I'd love to date a guy who cooks. I think preparing meals together is enjoyable.

Someone Else's Star by Bryan White
Alone again tonight
without someone to love
The stars are shining bright
So one more wish goes up
Oh I wish I may
And I wish with all my might
For the love I'm dreamin of
And missing in my life
You'd think that I could find
A true love of my own
It happens all the time
To people that I know
Their wishes all come true
So I've got to believe
There's still someone out there
Who was meant for only me
I guess I must be wishin on someone else's star
It seems like someone else keeps gettin what I'm wishin for
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are
I guess I must be wishin on someone else's star
I sit here in the dark
And stare up at the sky
I can't my heart
One good reason why
Everywhere I look
It's lovers that I see
Seems like everyone's in love
Everyone but me
I guess I must be wishin on someone else's star
It seems like someone else keeps gettin what I'm wishin for
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are
I guess I must be wishin on someone else's star
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are
