Worked out the kinks (so far), and I think I've put together a fairly decent profile. I'm not sure what I have been doing wrong, if anything, but I pretty much revamped the whole thing. What do you think?

you're skimping on things that are effecting your body. Just pay the extra few dollars. I'm sure you can afford it.

Curvy Vs Slim
Posted:

NO FALSE ADVERTISING. But also both parties need to be totally honest. Hey if you dont like petit women/men, by god....say so. And if you dont like BBW/BBM, say so.
I'm sure that of the 35 pages of posting, this has been mentioned, but whatever....
I think the biggest thing about "Advertising" is that people try to justify being one weight class or another. Working out regularly justifies being "athletic" though you're still too skinny for some particular person, or losing 20 lbs justifies being "a few extra pounds" even though your doctor would say that you're still obese.
I prefer curvy over slim, but really, I give a lot of leeway on either side of the spectrum.

Obama- 51.6
McCain- 42
Historically, any democratic candidate that has ever won had at least a 13% lead going into the elections.

OP, the reason is that the guy doesn't want to cause a scene. And breaking it off with someone in person is likely to cause a scene.

The US Electoral College System
Posted:
10/4/2008 9:53:17 PM
Originally, the Electoral College was established because it was impossible to literally get everyone (or as many people as possible) to vote logistically. However, now that we are in the 21st century, there is definitely the possibility of a POPULAR VOTE rather than an Electoral Vote. The Popular Vote Concept makes more sense to me.
The electoral college was designed partially to force presidential candidates to attain broad appeal in order to win. More than 50% of the U.S. population lives in just nine states. Going popular would exacerbate the problem of campaigns ignoring certain sections of the country; it'd be a fight to please the densest-populated areas every time, and to hell with Flyover Country. The electoral college system is the only thing in the presidential election that keeps the G.O.P. strategy of representing rural and small-town America viable.
The system isn't perfect, but in order for the voice of Idaho or Kansas to be heard at all, their citizens' votes have to count for more than those of California or New York.

Can men deal with NOT getting blowjobs?
Posted:

I can't believe any guy would be so insensitive that he would choose a blow job over a really great girlfriend. I suggest you wait until you find a decent man who actually cares more about your feelings instead of your sexual abilities.
There are a lot of women in this world that would kick a guy to the curb because his penis was too small to satisfy her. This thing goes both ways, and there are people that try to make it work because their S.O. is such a great person, but things will often eventually fail.

Can men deal with NOT getting blowjobs?

Only 17% of women in the USA like to do it. I wonder why so many men insist upon it.
I don't know where you got this information, but this is what I found:
Over a period of two weeks in February [2006], Elle magazine and NBC conducted an online sex survey of almost 80,000 people, half women and half men. 90 percent of the respondents were in a monogamous relationship.
One of the questions asked was "Do You Engage In Oral Sex?"
40% of women and men said they rarely or never give oral sex.
58% of men said their partner doesn't like receiving oral sex.
20% of women said they're not comfortable enough with their genitals to receive oral sex.
45% of women said they don't like performing oral sex.
21% of women said they’re uncomfortable with this sex act.

Why do women tend to think a man is shy/scared/intimidated when he's not interested?
Posted:

Why do women tend to think a man is scared, shy, or imtimidated when he's actually probably not interested? Why are we in denial.
This part shouldn't be in the "Ask A Guy" section.
Do men ever really get scared, especially when they work with you?
Dating coworkers = bad times.
Are there men out there who will use you to feed their egos? Why do people do this?
ARE there men out there that do this...probably. Why? Well, they need SOME method to boost their ego. Some methods are just more underhanded than others
Okay, I'm responding to myself. Do guys get nervous when they like someone? Even if they've had other girlfriends? So do they sometimes stay aloof because they're afraid?
So basically, you're asking if there are guys that lack confidence when it comes to meeting women. Obviously there are. The dating world is kinda scary, and nobody really likes rejection. I mean come on we're all on the internet trying to meet people. One of the reasons why many of us are here is because the rejection is less painful.

Are guys more accepting than gals?
Posted:
9/26/2008 5:01:17 AM
Well, girls are more perfect than guys.
Generally we all shave our legs armpits and whatever else. Make up, curls, and eyelashes. We take longer to get ourselves ready on the outside so naturally maybe we take more time getting ourselves perfect on the inside.
I love how you contradict yourself with your own post. If you were more "perfect," you wouldn't have a need to do all that grooming. Make-up is meant to hide your imperfections and/or accentuate the few things that you DO have going for you. That doesn't sound very perfect in my eyes.
I find women my age that live alone are cleaner and more organized than men.
Not sure what this has to do with anything
I'm personally programmed to be a girlfriend. I do it like it's my job.
I guess if your programming translates to you only being complete if you are with a guy, then that's your prerogative. However, it does say that you cannot be "perfect" unless you are with someone.
Girls I find tend to want a emotional connection more than men, they like sappy movies. The notebook, they want to be in love.
Women are emotional. Men are logical. All the guys that posted prior to you have mentioned this.
I personally want a man to be available whenever I need him and give up a lot of time and effort to put towards the relationship.
Based on your age, you're talking about guys that are graduating from high school and preparing from college. Good luck with that.
This is why women feel like they need to mold men, they just aren't perfect like us girls. They don't want to strive to be the best boyfriend possible.
No. It's more along the lines of we don't fit your predetermined mold, so you feel that you have to change us rather than accept us. And if we don't feel that we should change for you, then we're the ones at fault, and we're "obviously" not trying.

I don't think it was warranted.
They rarely ever are. The worst thing about it is that there is no forewarning or even an explanation afterwards. 4-6 moderators at a time trying to monitor so many forums....sure whatever, but if they're going to ban someone, they should at least tell them why. But I guess they reserve the right not to seeing how this is a privately owned site. Moving on.

It is my understanding that when one makes personal remarks, thereby deflecting from the original question, one is out of proverbial ammunition.
It is my understanding that despite the fact that he made such comments about himself, he was essentially waiting for Nomadic to make her response to what he had previously said. At which point he would make a response. It wasn't just a matter of him tooting his own horn.
Apparently someone was offended by his methods of telling people that they were wrong when they posted something that he felt was inaccurate, and they decided to complain to the mods because their feeling were hurt. He has been banned from the site, so I guess he won't ever get to read/respond to what Nomadic wrote.

what is it when you go out with a guy and he still refuses to call you on the phone. only texts...
Posted:

OP: there is nothing wrong with YOU in this situation. And there really isn't anything wrong with this guy either. Like many have said, there are just a plethora of people that invest in phones more solely for texting. I have grown to accept this, however, one of the things that I request of my text-obsessed friends is that they do actually CALL me once every few days. I don't like the thought of them "hiding" behind their text messages. It also proves to me that they have the capacity to actually hold a verbal conversation. You're not going to be able to get anyone to change their ways about this once they've been "hooked," so just try to make the best of the situation as you can.

How would you run our country?

1. I read the reasons for the electoral college and 2 party system. It had to do with the ability to communicate back in a time where real time communication was not possible. It has outlived it's usefulness. Each person who has demonstrated enough political knowledge to vote responsibly will have semiannual access to the ATM voting machine day. They vote on that day for the Leader of the Federal Cabinet and the Cabinet members.
There have only been 2 elections where the president won the electoral college but lost the popular vote: Hayes in 1876 and Harrison in 1888.

What constitutes a bad lover?

I am convinced that women aren't designed to be good lovers. For every 1 position that they can be good at, there's probably 10 that the guy can be good at. Just look at the Kama Sutra. Any girl that has a "you can't handle me" mentality will probably change her tone to a man that knows what he's doing.

Why do women only like musclebound guys that only have enough brains to eat, sh*t, and workout. You do see the similarity in how dumb our statements are?

Men who avoid attractive women??
Posted:
9/5/2008 9:52:59 PM
Are there guys who don't take a woman seriously just because she looks like a model?
There sure are.
Though she may be intelligent and genuine, can she be written off just because she looks like Paris Hilton or some other shallow celebrity?
There has to be some conversation before that kind of stuff can be determined.
Are there any guys out there who will admit to such behavior?
Stereotypes do have a degree of truth to them......interpret that however you want.
If I am looking for a date, I tend to stray from those types of women because I assume:
1. Nobody THAT attractive could be single.
2. They're single by choice.
3. They're single, but I'm not in their league, so I might as well not waste my time.
As far as just conversation, it really doesn't matter to me how she looks as long as she can hold up her end.

It looks like McCain's VP pick is Sarah Palin

Not only do you get an "F" for Econ 101 based upon poor or inaccurate statistics and lack of understanding, but you also get an "F" in Global Issues and Science. . .
None of your "Stats" were based on anything but you own impression.
Before lecturing others on economics, it might benefit you to either take an econ class, or perhaps read a few statistics. . . I suggest The US Census report, that might help. . .
Did you notice how the other people that are posting actually provide some insight as to why I'm wrong or why they disagree? You should do the same please, k, thanks. Just bashing me and essentially calling me an idiot doesn't do much to further the discussion.
It's also interesting how people insist on me to provide sources but forgo providing their own sources when they post their claims.
Well, there's a lot of information that I have to pilfer through since my last post. BBL.

A REAL effort to address the increasing gap between rich and poor in this country.
Rich and poor is a result of hard work. Out of millionaires, 1% are inheritance, 2% are lottery, and 97% are entrepreneurs. That's hard work. It is not something that needs to be addressed. You have the mindset of wealth redistribution. I direct you to the communist manifesto if that is what you want. France and Sweden have excellent plans for that.
An end to heavy corporate influence over legislation.
I agree, but no candidate does. Not Obama or anyone else. In order to be president, you need money. Money comes from special interests. I don't like it either, but it is what it is.
An end of subsidies to oil corporations, and of government policies intended to enrich them at our expense.
The oil companies are rich because of .....wait for it.....FREE MARKET. When there is a need a product they have, supply is controlled. High Demand=High Price, so profits will be up. If you don't like that, Cuba and Venezuela have great systems for you. China is coming along in that category as well
An end to our dependence on foreign oil.
I agree. McCain and the Republican party want to tap America's source, which is greater than all of the middle east and Africa combined. Who can tell me what Obama doesn't want to do?
An investment in non-petroleum forms of energy.
A recognition of global warming, and serious efforts to address it.
Global warming has been debunked at all levels of science according to the IPCC. It has been renamed to climate change, and has been accepted by the super-majority of scientists as an act of nature that can be slowed and adapted to, but not changed. The fact that the earth has actually gotten cooler over the past 7 years is also a kick in the teeth for global warming
A revitalization of manufacturing in this country, INCLUDING in renewable energy sources.
I agree. Unfortunately, neither of the candidates have addressed this. In fact, the only one who has addressed it so far was Rudy, but he ain't in it, so it's moot. History shows that the best way of doing this is to cut taxes on the big business and not get involved with wages. This is why they are all in Mexico and the far east
A serious approach to making higher education more affordable, including a way to allow students to work in ways beneficial BOTH to their communities AND to themselves, to help pay for college.
Again, I agree. However this would mean higher taxes. This is also something that the both democrats and republicans are bad with. This also assume that you think that everyone should go to college, which is a fallacy.
A serious effort to find away to ensure access to quality health care to everyone.
Everyone has the ability to get quality health care. What they don't have is a way to get "health coverage." That's a BIG difference. Health coverage is an insurance. Insurance is a business. FREE MARKET. Again, if you like that kind of thing, Cuba and France are where it's at. Granted, upon research by John"s Hopkins University, those 2 countries have some of the lowest medical standards in the world based on the fact the doctors make less than school teachers, but hey....that's acceptable, right?
Renogotiation of our trading and lender relationship with China.
The trading and lender relationship with china is a farse. People think that China owns this country, but we are the reason China is industrializing. We have been giving them money for decades. Yes, their government has invested in our market. We have invested in England's, that doesn't make Great Britain ours, it just makes us smart.
A WHOLE NEW approach to foreign policy. An end to knee-jerk unilateralism, and a rebuilding of our alliances abroad.
Wow....that is straight from Moveon.org. Rebuilding of our allies? What does that even mean? We have more allies now than we ever have. People like to bring up the whole, "Europe hates us" speech. Then why is it that Spain, France, Germany, Italy and England, in all of their recent elections, elected Pro american leaders?
/rant
A smart approach to the crisis of worldwide terrorism, that includes international consultation and diplomacy.
Let's define the word Diplomacy real quick:
The art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or states.
You know what the captain of the USS Nimitz said about his boat when news crews asked him to describe it...."1150 ft of American Diplomacy."
On a less crude point:
You can not give me an instance when America didn't attempt diplomacy first other than the attack of the Taliban after 9/11. And that was different. We were attacked. If you ask a question or attempt to deliberate your ideas, you have to maintain a standard of intellectual honesty (i.e. hindsight does not make you morally superior and hypocrisy is not tolerated). Therefore, I ask why did we get attacked on that sunny beautiful Tuesday morning? Simple.......They do not like the fact that we are not Muslim. Our way of life is not satisfactory to them. Fine, whatever. Did they set up an official meeting? Did they ask our president and congress to convert to Islam and follow Shi'ria law? Did they write us a letter and say that our Abecrombie & Fitch catalog is hideous and we should respect our women by restricting their access to the world and beating them if they leave the kitchen? No, No, No. So, in the spirit of intellectual honesty, peaceful solutions were not available. Give me one instance of America going to war before they attempted a non-military form of diplomacy.

People that keep asking that question over and over again must be living in a cave.
People that simply say that they want change without addressing the type of changes or the degrees of those changes are just complaining for the sake of complaining. Moreover, it's not like I just asked the question without providing reference to the fact that this strive for change isn't as drastic as it may sound.

Everywhere I turn on the news, the evidence supports that people in this country are overwhelmingly disgusted with the past 8 yrs and are seeking the change so desperately needed to shake up Washington
What kind of change? I'm going to assume that you mean a change in policy. However, as a whole (according to Cspan/reuters/zogby polls), people don't want a change that dramatic. They just want a resolution to the problems at hand. The inherent task of a government in a republic is to solve problems by giving half the people what they want. This means you have to solve one problem by creating another. That is what has happened here again. There is nothing wrong with it, it just means that another problem will need to be created to fix this one, but as long as it's fixed, people will be satisfied until the new problem comes to light. rinse, repeat
By this, people need to understand the conservative philosophy. Personal Responsibility. When things are good (which they will inevitably be), you must save some of your assets for when times are worse, (which they will inevitably be). The liberal philosophy of wealth redistribution sounds good and fair, but history has proven that it doesn't actually create a problem. Rather, it maintains a constant problem stemmed by mans nature of greed. Anyone who thinks that everyone is equal is a moron.

If you think bush's increase of the money supply, no-bid contracts and frequent financial sector bail outs are free market, you get an F for econ 101.
PLEASE show many ANYTHING I said about Bush.
Obama also said he wants to raise minimum wage. Now look at raising minimum wage from the point of view of a small business owner. Didn't he say he wanted to help the small business owner? Do you see how things don't add up?
Look at his housing plan
"In the U.S. Senate, Obama introduced the STOP FRAUD Act to increase penalties for mortgage fraud and provide more protections for low-income homebuyers, well before the current subprime crisis began."
I would like to know the definition of "well before." Obama took office in 2004. The morgage crisis started in 03. Work with me here.
Predatory lending:
"In the Illinois State Senate, Obama called attention to predatory lending issues. Obama sponsored legislation to combat predatory payday loans, and he also was credited with lobbying the state to more closely regulate some of the most egregious predatory lending practices."
His bills on that (or should I say bill) were voted down and not even supported by his fellow democrats. Mainly because it takes away from a legitimate business practice.
So basically. His entire website confirms what I have said. He is not good for this country, his ideas are terrible...mainly because he has no real idea. I'm not saying McCain's site or plans are better. Just electing a black lawyer with no experience based on his skin color and a old liberal white supremacist is not that answer to this countries woes.

Have you actually read these "plans" Most of them are just wordy generalizations that have been proven not to work.
His plan on economy for instance:
It doesn't state how is going to enact the windfall profits tax. It's a generalization. More importantly, it doesn't say how the government is going to control the oil companies from raising their prices in response to the tax which is exactly how it happened under Carter and Clinton.
50 billion to Americans? Where is he going to get this 25 billion for job growth? The answer is taxes, but he doesn't say that. How is raising taxes good for the people who are struggling to make their bills?
5 million Green Jobs? Where are these jobs coming from?! The answer is The Government. The government will create them, which means the government gets bigger, which means they need more money, which means taxes are raised.
"Obama will invest $150 billion over 10 years to advance the next generation of biofuels and fuel infrastructure, accelerate the commercialization of plug-in hybrids, promote development of commercial scale renewable energy, invest in low emissions coal plants, and begin transition to a new digital electricity grid. The plan will also invest in America's highly-skilled manufacturing workforce and manufacturing centers to ensure that American workers have the skills and tools they need to pioneer the first wave of green technologies that will be in high demand throughout the world."
I could have sworn at the top of his web page, he talked about how the American free market has been the greatest asset. So how is the government forcing products on people going to help a free market?
All these talks of tax credits.....the only way you can give tax credits to the lower income brackets is to raise them on the top 10% of wealth. The top 10% already pay 80%+ of the taxes in this country. If you are top 10%, that means that you are either Paris Hilton, in which case you don't care or (and this is what is more than likely)., you are an owner of a company. They raise your taxes because the less fortunate need help. You still have a business to run, so you raise prices to compensate. People will say you are greedy because they watch youtube instead of reading case law and history.
If you don't raise your prices, your profits go down. If your profits go down, your shareholders go down. if that happens, 2 things happen.
1. You are liable for your shareholders and you could be found criminally negligent( i.e. Worldcom and Enron)
2. The government will attempt to sustain you and as a result, taxes will have to be raised to make up for the lost money (i.e. all the airlines after 9/11)
Therefore, the only logical thing to do is raise your prices. So in the end, how does that quick fix work out for people like you and I? The rich people will still make a crap-ton of money and still have season tickets to all their favorite sporting events, and the common person will have to decide whether to pay 1 dollar more a gallon for milk or a 1 dollar more a gallon for gas this week.

It looks like McCain's VP pick is Sarah Palin

So can someone give me ONE example of a detailed plan Obama has on the claims he has made for his presidency that had relevance without giving a bunch of generalizations.
as far as McCain:
- he has stated that he will stay in Iraq and has laid out his plan for eventual withdrawl and stated that American Troops will be there forever
- he has laid out his plan for immigration control with detailed plans and time tables for controlling the influx of illegal immigrants
-He has flip flopped on the abortion issue and on the climate change issue (not a fan)
- he has stated that he will keep judges in the supreme court that will uphold the second amendment
-he stands by the legislation of McCain/Feingold
Honestly, I don't like half the stuff he stands for. All things considered, I think he was a pretty bad senator, but at least he has drawn out game plans and we know what he stands for. When he is asked a yes or no question, his response starts with either the words yes or no.
Random fact:
All the democrats that have ever run for president have been lawyers.
All the republicans that have ever run for president have been either ran a company or ran a state.
Lets speak logically here. Based on what the concerns are in this country, would you rather put your faith in a lawyer or a military businessman? I personally think it's insane to trust a lawyer with my well being, my money, and my future. A lawyer is good for one thing....talking. That is what they do. If I want someone to handle the economy, I will turn to a business man. If I want someone to handle a war, turn to a military man
that's my 2 cents

Michael Jackson: ‘I Feel … Very Young’ at 50

you made a blanket statement
Fine. Regardless of all that, I still refuse to believe that he is a child molester or a pervert. I do think he has a few loose screws, but I don't think that he has done/will do anything incriminating.
In regards to the whole Sony thing: I don't know about how much he charges, but I do know that whenever he puts out a studio album (not one of his 60 kajillion greatest hits albums), it goes multi platinum. Every album he has put out since off the wall (1979) has been at least 2x platinum. I don't know how much he is trying to charge for producing an album, but his fanbase is still large enough for it to sell well. If Sony won't do it, I would not be surprised if some other record company would be willing to "risk" having him on their label and have the expectation that it would be as successful as some of his earlier stuff.

Charles Mason KILLED PEOPLE!!!! That's a lot different than sleeping in the same bed as some kid who [probably] was never molested. The dude is and was harmless. I agree that it's creepy, and I probably wouldn't let my kids sleep in the same bed, but MJ is no criminal.

Essentially I look for the virtuosos that have been classically trained as well as the artists that get a wierd/experimental with their music.

You guys need to stop hating on this guy. The courts found him innocent on all counts. Let it go. Moreover, this was some blatantly obvious thing like the R. Kelly case where there was video footage. The dude's life was f*cked up beyond the comprehension of most the people on this forum (rich or not).
Mr "I feel very young" needs to come out with another album. Invincible was back in 2001.

"Moment of Clarity" by Jay-Z
"The music business hate me
Cause the industry ain't make me
Hustlers and boosters embrace me
And the music i be makin
I dumb down for my audience
And double my dollars
They criticize me for it
Yet they all yell "Holla"
If skills sold
Truth be told
I'd probably be
Lyrically
Talib Kweli
Truthfully
I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
(But i did five Mil)
I ain't been rhymin like Common since
When your sense got that much in common
And you been hustlin since
Your inception
**** perception
Go with what makes sense
Since
I know what i'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most important
And i can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So i got rich and gave back
To me that's the win, win
The next time you see the homie and his rims spin
Just know my mind is workin just like them
(The rims that is)"
At the end of the day, these artists are trying to make a living with their music. So making stuff that is simple and catchy is appeals to more of the demographic. That is why there is so much stuff that gets radio play that comes out of the south. Additionally, the "good quality" rappers or the "conscious" rappers don't really make club-bangers. Stuff that doesn't get club/radio isn't getting exposure. This is simple supply and demand here. There's a reason why people the Classical/Jazz communities are so small (or at least in comparison to Hip-Hop, Rock, Metal, and Country)

Phone calls v. texts

Dialogue between Ed Wuncler III (played by Charlie Murphy) and Gin Rummy (played by Samuel L Jackson) from The Boondocks:
*Ed is texting on his sidekick*
Gin: Man I don't get that
Ed: Get what?
Gin: That texting sh**
Ed: and what's wrong with texting?
Gin: Other than the fact that it's probably the stupidest f***ing thing in the world? I mean why would you spend 15 minutes trying to type some sh** that you could have called up and said in 5 seconds. Plus it involves typing with your THUMBS, which I don't approve of. I don't have time to read something that someone typed with their thumbs. Fun fact: nothing ever typed with somebody's thumbs has ever been important. It's all just ni*** technology anyway.
Ed: what'd you call it?
Gin: Ni*** technology. Technology for ni***s. And don't start trippin and calling me a racist. I don't mean "ni***" in a disrespectful way. I mean it as a general term for ignorant mothaf***ers. ANYONE of ANY race can be an ignorant mothaf***
Ed: Sh** I be texting my a** off. Bit**es like texting. I be texting them all the time. A a matter of fact, I also be texting my weed man too cuz he don't like to be on the phone so I text him
Gin:..............case, and point.
On a more serious note, I think texting has it's place, but the problem is that too many people hide behind their text messages instead of actually having a verbal conversation. I guess it's an attempt to depersonalize it or something. Either way, don't be afraid to pick up the phone as well as text.

why do guys like to cum on a girl's face?

i am curious why guys like to cum on a girl's face. can you tell me your opinion about it?
Because they watch too much porn. In the bulk of most porn videos the guy either cums on the girls face or on her chest.
why do you like to do it?
Too hell with that. I'd rather cum in her mouth. It's much less messy, and it shows a sense of commitment on her part that she's willing to take a shot in the mouth.

Why don't you look at demographics of men and women in college relative to the population of men and women as a whole. That will give you your answer.

So you are saying that every thread on the same topic would be identical and not bring out something new and interesting?
Why don't you go and start reading? Most of the threads have about 3 pages of replies. Some are 10+. They all say pretty much the same thing. They might not be identical but if I say "2+2=4," it's the same as me saying "two plus two equals four." There's a reason why the mods say that that you are supposed to utilize the thread search. This site isn't opposed to people necroing threads. I've seen threads that started in 2006 that have posts from this year. Starting a "new and fresh" thread isn't going to do anything special.
