In a separate bowl add 3-4 tblspns butter, 1- tbspn better than boillion(chicken flavor), 1/4 cup grated ramono cheese. mixed with the garlic bulb sqweezed out the pulp. toss with the vegies add some pepper and parsley. Careful not to add salt its in the boullion and cheese.

What are they called?

If you like those, you should try the shrimp chips. They are made out of the same by shrimp flavored. They are clear colors and instantly blow up into a air like potatoe chip shape, once they touch the hot oil. These are also found at the oriental market.
Really fun to watch and eat!!

hi singinnurse,
Your right about the sumac (sumack) it is the best kept secret. That is also used in a spice mix called sataar which includes thyme, sumac and sesame seeds. If you like middle eastern food including Gyros also sumac is used. yuo can find it at a mediterainspecialty store.

If you are using bread crumbs the easiest, moist and crispy is putting it in the oven. Add some salt, pepper grated ramono cheese, and parsley and garlic to the crumbs. You'll never cook chix another way !! Its outstanding!!!

Did you know that is not a fancy new trick with a paring knife?! cutting through the vein area half way is called butterfly , they will puff up nicely. You can do this to any chops and stuff them too!!
Also when to be carefull cooking shrimp to long will make them tough, 3-5 mins depending on size. When they are pink their done. Always use raw shrimp for for cooking recipes. the already cooked are good for Shrimp****ails or cold salads.

Looking for easy German recipes.
Posted:

I know a dish that is easy...Take a head of cabage and cut it up into shredds (like cole slaw) add salt. put it in a large skillet and sautee (med heat) till well browed. Set it aside. This does take time.
Boil egg noodles, drain, add cooked cabbage and mix well. You can serve with pork spare ribs, boiled in a pot with carrot and potatoes salt and pepper to taste.
Good luck!

What are good fish appetizers?
Posted:

Be careful...eating seafood can be a hazard to your health. On 20/20 they claimed that all fish has some contaminate of mercury and can lead to many debilitating diseases. If you eat it regularly consider doing a mercury cleanse. Cilantro has a metal detox. You can google; chelating cilantro pesto. You can also google, seafood mercury poisoning.
good luck!

It is also very nutritous high in protien and fiber. Plus it gave me tons of energy too! I ate half a pie in one day and didn't gain an ounce!!

Boil baby red potatoes with a bulb of garlic maybe 2o-25 mins. when done turn off the burner and add a bag of fresh or frozen green beans ( I like the trader joes frozen) and add fresh mushrooms (approx 8 oz) sliced let it heat through a few mins 2-3 . Crisp tender. Take the garlic bulb and sqweeze out the soft clove and mash and add to the following;
Drain and toss with 1/4 cup of grated ramono cheese,
a couple tblspoons of butter
1 teas Chicken boullion (I like Better than Boullion brand)
fresh cracked pepper to taste
Toss all ingredients in bowl and add a spig of parley.
This is a hit everywhere I take this...Enjoy!

do you consider yourself a good cook?
Posted:
10/19/2007 9:45:28 PM
Well..I've always enjoyed it. all my meals are made from scratch...everyday I make something different and rarely use a cookbook. Most of the time I treat my coleages and or clients to sampling my creations...I've be told many times over I should be in the restaurant biz. I'm so flattered. I think when you have a passion for something you are a natural at it!!!!
The one draw-back on this is, it is very difficult to eat out. There are not many great restaurants that compare to my fine dining!!

Cilantro Taste
Posted:

I used to not like it until I found out that it is used to flush out mercury from your body.
If you try this; your body craves what you feed it.... if you don't like it s cause your not eating it. there is a recipe for; chelating cilantro pesto. You can google it. If you eat a lot of seafood you better learn to like it , cause most likely you have mercury in your system. There are test to show it in your urine as it leaves your body.
Thai food is another place to find lots of cilantro. A great soup Tom Ka Kai,
it has coconut broth, cilatro, cayenne, chicken lemon grass, lime leaves and straw mushrooms. Yum,Yum!!!!
Thai Red curry is awesome too!!! I'm starting to crave.

I need some advice/help
Posted:
4/22/2007 12:19:21 AM
Hi Lynn,
Has your Dr, informed you on other alternatives than dairy? All milk has been pasturized and in that process the vitamins and nutrients are destroyed like in all our processed foods. ...so they put them back in and use the term enriched. All dairy from cows are mucas forming and studies prove resperatory problems, allergies, and a high in dairy diet in men can cause parkinsons desease. The was on ABC7 4/20/07.
I drink rice milk and almond milk they are delicious and both enriched w/ v/D and calcium. I would stay clear of any soy products as they can cause problems with your thyroid/hormones and metabolism.
Remember nuts , seeds, fruits, vegitables, WHOLE , grains, legumes, if you eat meat no more than 4oz. or that should be 1/3 of your plate. Remember too much protien is hard on you liver. only athelte can use the amounts of protien that most people consume. Carbs from fruits or vegis give you energy but you need to stabilize it with whole grain and some protien. Example; Natuale peanut better and jelly/whole fruit type NO added sugar, on whole grain bread. Better yet Whole grain cereal w/ nuts and fruit/ berries top with rice milk. start drinking some carrot juice too. don't drink too much fruit juice about 4-6 oz a day it absorb too quickly and will cause you to spike and then crash. when you crash yuo get extremmly hungry. Alway follow carbs w/ Whole grain and pprotien.
Wish you all the luck!

Your totally right on the ice cream issue.... dairy is what is wreaking havok on most people due to the mucas it forms, I know. Sinues, asthma, depression, obesity, loss of energy, skin disorders.
etc...
Not all people suffer from all of them, depends on your diet.

There are many maple syrups on the market. lost of them have added sugarand some don't. Go to a Trader Joe's or whole foods store and ther are several varieties. They can be as pricy as fine wine. T.J's has a good one moderatly priced. Remember cane sugar has NO benefit to you diet, weather it be organic or not.
You'll find it interesting to google Maple syrup, or tree sap glyconutrients, the miracle sugars. Its in the same catagory as aloe vera. all in the 5-6 miracle carbohydrates.

I bet your healthier than most!
If you know anothing about the "Master Cleanser" by Stanley Burroughs, one of the key ingredients is cayenne (ground chillies)
Hey, if you incorperate that in a chicken dish with some lemon...Wow! Just remember cooking kills the live cells out of our food, if you have to.....don't use high heat and cook slow. NEVER over cook.
Also Maple syrup natually a miracle sweetner more nutrients than anyone realizes (100% dark amber is best) add that to your oat meal (NO sugar)
If your concerned about your breath...fresh parsley nuetralizes garlic oder instantly!
That is why it was served for years (in restaurants), on your plate, not just for presentation, but for a breath freshener. If you go to a health food store they sell the parsley oil breath freshener capsules. Fresh herbs including fresh parsley are loaded with anti-oxidents and nutrients.
Good Luck!

Wow!!! This is soooo ironic!!! I've had so many test from being very sick for over 4 years and have always had allergys.
I thought it was a food allergy, not!
Maybe heart problems(major palpatations on certain occasions) the first EKG came back abnormal, took another intense myocardial profusion, came back fine and also wore a heart monitor, thank God the heart is good.
Had a CT scan on my brain....well I'm NOT crazy!!! eye /vision problems dizzy, nausea, and fainting spells.
checked my colestorol...perfect!!!!
blood glucose perfect!!!! We'll ironic how this is a topic ....I've been fainting and dehydrated and ended up in ER 2x's in 6 months . What it all came down to is chemicals, smoke, cleaning products, hair sprays perfumes, dryer sheets, car exhaust,
breathing in cold air and extreme humidity. I ended up with a bacterial infection, skin rash, and asthma.
Maybe you'll understand and be a bit more compassionate.

Tofu... the versatile healthy alternative
Posted:
2/7/2007 9:47:20 AM
OMG!!
You NEED to google soy, (soy sauce, edamme, tofu, margerine, mayonaise...etc) it can be dangerous to most and it is in almost everything. It is a VERY CHEAP filler and that why it is so marketed . Anyone with thyroid issues CANNOT eat this, it will wreck more havoc on that. Did you know your thyriod controls most body functions, hormones, metabolism. Also there is a epidemic of thyriod issues on the rise. It was on the news (7abc) this week.
Before you go soy happy, you need to research,
To your health
Beans , egg whites, nuts and some vegis are other non-meat protein alternatives.

Are there any subtle ways to let a guy know you like him?
Posted:
2/6/2007 9:25:35 PM
I totally agree with c deacon...the only thing after that is be seen, maybe a smile. then let him find or acknowledge you. If a man wants a woman he'll find her and nothing will stop him. If he's not interested there is nothing you can buy him to keep him. I have a poem that is a great rule to date by. Dignity is more impressive than desperation. . So if he's good enough and the right guy for you, fate will take you there.

Why are older women not into younger guys???
Posted:

All you younger guys who think life is based around sex and a mama to babysit you.... If you think about your future and go to school ...instead of wasting your life getting drunk looking for cheap sex. In-excess drinking over time causes impotence. a good woman with a good head on her shoulders would like a good man with the same. You need to think about your prioritys.
Good luck!!
